  1. Pss shaft seal install

I just finished the install. I had to reach out to a couple guys and they were super helpful and willing to share- it’s what got me through the project. My added finishing thoughts. when the shaft coupler wouldn’t separate from the v-drive plate, Tim from glide seal suggested spraying some penetrating oil and let it sit. I let it sat for about 36 hours. 2 things happened - first, the plates separated easily but the next thing was a pleasant surprise. I was ready to break out the pully pullers to pull the shaft coupler off from the shaft, but when the retaining nut came off, the coupler slid right off the shaft into my hand. I figure the penetrating oil did the trick. The other thing I was very fortunate on was when i thought I would have do do some alignment. But when the coupler made contact with the v-drive plate- it looked great. So great I had to seek a second opinion to make sure I wasn’t missing something. I I sent some pictures to rhino and we both agreed it looked good. The bolts easily lined up with no finagling. Props to rhino89523 for taking time to answer a couple questions for me along the way. I thought this was a level of 4 difficulty. I wasn’t super rushed and took my time.
  2. Pss shaft seal install

The above info has been super helpful- so helpful I decided do the job myself for my 08 C4 avalanche. Question - I’m leaving my v-drive in place and I need to slide the prop shaft aft to make room to pull the coupler. How do I slide the shaft? Probably obvious but I haven’t found it in all my searches. Any input will be appreciated!!
