  1. When my boat is on the trailer on level ground the lowest point for the water to drain is where the second (front) drain is located. If you are only pulling your rear plug there is a good chance you are not getting all the water out of the bilge. Alot of people I know only pull the front plug. I always do both. I want the boat to dry out as much as possible. No moisture while in storage = less corosion and less of a chance for mold and mildew on the seats. I have been told that this will help your steering cable last a little longer too.
  2. Bad Bling Bling

They changed the bling for the 2008-2009 boats and have had problems with this. I think the new boats have stainless.
  3. Best way to store a tube?

My kids love to tube and I like to take them. I would rather see a child happy doing something they love than maby having that perfect smooth water. If you have kids you understand. If you dont have kids you might not understand. I also respect other boaters and whatever watersport they are trying to enjoy and I dont interfear. More people need to do the same. However you do decide to store your tube make sure you tie it down tight. If the boat is going fast the tube can fly off and the rope can get cought on someone. I personaly know someone who lost a finger because of a tube flying off the back of a boat. The rope wrapped around her finger and pulled it off. Good thing it wasent her head.

How much money should a dealer realy make on the sale of a boat. Im ok with my dealer making a fair profit because I want them to be there to service and maintain my boat in the future. In my business I have a fair mark up on everything I do. I have all the risk and money invested in my business. I also have to cover cost of doing business while still trying to bring home a fair amount of money for uncle sam, house, car, boat, kid, and, wife payments. The state sales tax on a boat is from 5% to 8% depending on where you live maby different. So the state gets there money with no risk and no investment. Where I live on a $70000.00 boat that is 4375.00 for doing nothing to earn it. So on that same boat of $70000.00 how much profit is fair for the dealer. I dont know the right answer but in this economy I have heard of alot of dealers going under and closing down.
  5. Centurion's Warranty

Sorry for your luck jax. I have been very pleased with my Enzo and Centurion. Yes there was one issue that I had but it was covered under there waranty. I have had many boats and know first hand that nobody builds a perfect boat. I am a business owner like many other people in the world and I know some times things dont always go the way they should. In my business If you come in and purchase anything from me and have an issue with it I will try my best to take care of you. If you take the problem to someone other than me Im not going to fix, refund or even try to help you with it. Just like if you go buy a chevy and take to a ford dealer and ask chevy to pay ford for a repair that ford said you needed do you realy expect chevy to pay for it. NO. How stupid would you look if you made a big deal out of it? I think if you took your boat to a Centurion dealer or someone at least affiliated with Centurion you might get a better outcome. Maby Centurion who has been building boats for a long time has seen this happen before when hitting submerged objects. You stated that Centurion took good care of you in the past. That is good. It was something that sounds like they needed to take care of. Now because of your bad decision to take your boat to someone other than Centurion to get it fixed you feel the need to bash Centurion. I do understand why they might not want to just pay (your service guy) to fix something that very well may have happened when YOU hit a submerged object and tore up your boat. I know if this happened to me I would have just had my insurance cover it all. Im sure they would have seen how it could have been possible for this to happen by hitting something. I would also check the v drive unit and alignment on the motor. If this is out of wack I would think that the dammage did happen from the v drive smacking the bottom of the boat during your stump jumping trick. I had to reply to this post for one reason. When I had my new boat built the factory sent me a few pics of the build. One pic was when they was lowering the engine into the hull. I noticed the engine, tranny and v drive were all bolted together hanging on a huge overhead lift. If they dropped anything into your boat it would have been the motor tranny and v drive unit all together. A total of about 1000 LBS or more of metal crashing down. Not just one little spot of damage from someone dropping a single v drive unit. Just my 2 cents
  6. 2010 Boat prices

I thought about checking out some other MSRP pricing. WOW. I found some great prices since everyone buys boats at MSRP anyway. A 2010 BU 23 BIG foot of sunscape lsv for only $97094.00 MSRP at a dealer near you. Anywhere in the USA that is. A new MC x2 only $94250.00 MSRP for a twenty foot boat. A super MSRP price on a 2009 210 super airNOT $108549.00. Who is byerly anyway? I guess he gives you a lesson or 2 at that price. That is alot of money per foot. I would surly opt for the airknot 230 for $109701.00 its kinda base modle and all but more bang for your buck. There is a few other boats I MIGHT just buy for my slummin days like a stupera for 87996.00 and the sinkger is sweet for $62739.00 at a big ol size of 21.5 feet that is. I dont like those extra tires on the trailers so i may go with a YUGO i mean a momby for $53820.00. Its a cool 20 foot and it will fit in my dog house. I may just give up surfing and go with the 22.6 babeliner because i can steal one for 58405.00 MSRP with a folding tower. The best deal i have found for the money is the bad %$#@ 4 wines i built online it was 24 LOA with the swim deck and was sweet looking. Who needs that extra $110000.00 in the bank anyway. If anyone needs help finding one of these please let me know. I can point you in the right direction. IMO the MSRP is not the price anyone is realy buying boats for. A good deal is only based on how you value the product compaired to other simular products. I would like to know where some people think Centurion fits into the lineup. Im thinking that it is NOW one of the best built and constructed boats on the market. Centurion HAS improved there quality over the last 5 years. I dont like the high MSRP on anything in life. Face it. Nobody pays that anyway. I dont think Centurion is doing anything wrong by making the statement that it can compeat with the top 3 tow boat builders. After looking around I dont think there MSRP is way off track with what the other guys are doing. I do think the MSRP on BOATS in general is getting way out of hand. I hope I havent offended anyone but someone needed to make a point.
