  1. Love my Falcon for all round boatin, also ride with Joe B on his avy pretty regular, if your in ohio area, we can hook you up with side by side rides if you like...
  2. sent up the info, how long until i hear reply with pricing, payment info, etc?
  3. Boat insurance

progressive is least expensive for me by far..... agreed replacement cost of 38k + 4k for trailer, up to 2500.00 contents, includes towing for trailer/boat if my truck breaks down, on water tow/recovery up to 1.5k, all for 328.00 /yr........ progressive bases cost of insurance on where boat is kept.... cheaper cause its nestled inside garage here in 'teflon town' instead of out of state on lake or outside remote storage, they use zip codes and cost averaging basis to determine rates (aka, it only costs my 17yr old son 500/yr to drive any of our vehicles)......ohio is good for somethin i guess wahi wahi
  4. change the impeller every year, cheap and i have it down to about 30 min process, besides, like checkin the inside of engine for sediment and rust...... keep old for spares (handed one over to fellow boarder who fixed on water this year- needless to say, have another ridin buddy now...lol)
  5. black seal tape (or electrical tape) around the flange, used marine sealant at flange mount to body mold, the waste gate is press on fit (very tight)........ stoked to bury the corner now!
  6. okay.... pics are now in... first is bare ductwork, second is duct flange mounted to shutoff, third is mounted open, fourth is mounted shut..... drain to be installed soon with pics to come.... enjoy
  7. already thought bout it.... probably plumb in some 1/4" drains runnig to drain tubes for ballast..... way ahead of ya!
  8. Call of Duty: Black Ops

    PS3 - ladderrat803
  9. hey all, just a quick note..... have a line on a way to close off the fresh air vents for when we bury the rub rail for surfing! seem to sink the vents a bit when runnin 2k+ lbs, so came up with this idea to keep the lake from addin another 1k+ lbs ...lol.... ill be using 4" dust collector manual shut offs from woodcraft.... part number and pics of the install to come!! anybody using anything different? \ here's a link to the blast gate http://www.woodcraft.com/Product/2003947/3562/Quick-Disconnect-ABS-Blastgate.aspx wahi wahi
  10. 2 cents...... went from 98 ford expedition ( rated at 6800 lbs) maxed it out with the falcon and 6 of us and equip....... BUT..... the rig weighed almost 6k by itself.....ive found the heavier the rig, the steadier on the highway... doesnt get pushed around by wind, passing cars, semis' etc.. .. just lacked the b^!!s on big hills.... now in the 2010 tundra extra cab- best tow rig ive been in (even better than the 2004 f250 deisel ive used - only because its more road friendly) ... gettin 14mpg combined ( mostly in town) 17-18 on highway, and went up transmission hill' on way to S.C. in 5th gear @ 65 mph! 401 ft lbs and 360= hp makes for a relaxin ride! long story short- loved the expidition on short trips, but for real tow duty.... go big or go home... dave
  11. Lets see your tow rig!

picked her up last year..... avg 13.5 mpg to lake murray S.C. and back to ohio.... thought id bought a deisel for a minute.......
  12. NOVEMBER PICTURE THREAD

was out with joe B. sunday..... 56 degree water and 54 degree? air temmp...... was a GOOD run! joe surfed for a good 40min..... i got 3 laps in our favorite cruisin spot...... good times... lookin to hiit the water on xmas eve if our new neighbor really is crazy enough to take us out!... lets see those pics joe!
  13. agreed. my favorite saying these last few years has been "just because you own a boat doesnt mean you should" ...... said it by mistake to a lady trying to fit her 23 footer into a 2 ft space between boats at the dock...... fortunately our local lake is 'unpopulated', which means crazier on the weekends, a bit better on the weekdays.... as a father of four, i definitely agree the 'tubers' pose more of a risk than surfers or boarders...at least the 'educated' ones anyway.... run into a few boarders who are just as dangerous due to lack of experience (junior shouldnt take daddy's 24ft bu out for the first time on his own- at the same time dad' shouldnt buy a 24ft blinged out bu for his first boat when he's never been on one before) i agree with both sides of the table on this one..... we should be considerate on both ends... ride in the less ocupied areas when surfing or boardin with big weight, and for homeowners, understand that as population grows, this is gonna be a part of 'lake life' oh and gettin rid of tubers' on our glassy lakes is a must !!!! lol jk wahi wahi
  14. Wakeboard suggestions?

started off on cwb pure as well ( i actually have always kept 2-3 boards at at time, both 3 stage and continuous rocker. ) once you get the hang of ridin it , pull the center fin and learn to ride it loose.... good way to learn to take your edge into the wake properly....its a good beginer board, and good for going back to to learn spins, etc..... currently ridin a liquid force press (flex) 141 henshaw.... kick butt board! huge air! started poppin raley's ( almost by mistake).... once you get the hang of a flex board its hard to go back (theyre sooo light!)... so my recommendation is this.... get a couple different types of board and ride your favorite! as far as boots, i ride close toe slingshots on my recoil, and close toe gator caddy's on everything else! (did i mention i now have 6 boards) ... as far as boots, thats a preference, i ride flat feet, some boots angle forward (like the cwb) having you ride on the balls of the feet. makes for a weaker heelside edge if your tall (i sit 6'4") and puts you over your knees a little too much for my taste..... so get a couple diferent boot styles til you find what you like too...... hope i under-simplified that for ya... lol d-r-
  15. ride them both. also make sure you ride in both smooth water and chop. i can honestly say i have yet to hit a better wakeboard wake on anything when i catch morning glass. not too tall (avy), not too soft (bu). perfect ramp that you can change just by movin your weight from middle to rear. and extremely stable boat! does not rock like deep V's......if your a die hard wakeboarder, pay twice the amount for the nautique, but be prepaired to constantly play with weight to 'get your wake right'..... for the money, the falcon does a fantastic job (take the savings and buy a new tow rig too....p.s.- tundras rock!)..........my .02 wahi wahi just saw your post... came in while i was typin... CONGRATS!!!!! good choice! (now lets talk tow rigs...lol)
