  1. Hello all. I have surfed with the Mission suckgate all summer, the last 40-50 days or so and although we were not sure at the beginning if it was a waste of time or not, we now could not live without it. In the first few days I thought it would be on the "oh well, at least we tried" pile, but now really, we like it a lot. This is on 2007 Enzo 240 listed with about 3800lbs,We run a bit of counter all the time so suckgate is submerged when listed. It does nothing for the starboard wave but substantially improves the port wave. I don't think it makes it any bigger or changes any push, just reshapes the wave so much more of the face is usable. I have had this enzo since 2010 and have put on about 650 hours of surfing so I have an idea of how we like our wave. I could give a rats tush about fuel consumpion as if you are surfing I am not sure that is or should be top of mind! Pretty much goes from terrible to really terrible. But it makes us have way more fun and that is why we surf. Just starting a storm cycle here in BC today so I cannot post any pics, but I will try after sun comes back out. Don't slam this till you have had a good chance to try it. Sporty.
  2. Looks like if you need the additional channels I may have a heck of a deal for someone? Going from Double up to single Rev10's means my Syn 6 will not be as effective as a Syn 4 Not sure if anyone needs to go the opposit direction, just thought I would ask. Straight trade, split shipping. Must be in perfect working order! I hope I am not out of order posting in this section? Sporty.
  3. Can or how can I run Rev 10's with Syn 6?

Thanks Wylie and David. Your advise is always appreciated. I may see if I can sell my Syn6 and upgrade the Amp as well. Even if I do not get this portion done, it sounds (pardon the pun) like I will be ahead, that is always the goal! Cheers.
  4. I am currently running Double Up with a Syn 6. I want to change out the Double up to 1 set of Rev 10's. Can I do this efficiently with my current Syn 6? Sporty.
  5. Actually, dual screw X80 has a pretty damn nice wave. I am fortunate to have a friend who has had this X80 for 5 years now. Nice boat, even nicer wave. Goofy side on the X80 is actually better than the Port. Twin opposing screws remember.
  6. Sporty Bubble update

No surf gate yet. Just started to think about it. Summer is the time to play, not fiddle. Maybe this fall or next spring once all the reviews are in!
  7. Sporty Bubble update

You will be very satisfied. One of the best mods (I've done a few) I have ever done. I cannot imagine going back. No cavitation, no hull burn, much better performance in the midrange, no slip or noise in the turns, vibration in the wheel gone when accelerating with full ballast. Absolutely what should be on these boats when loaded with water. Go for it. We will be pulling the boat out of the water on Monday after the sumers fun, can take updated pics then. Sporty.
  8. We are feelin for you Tota., but I would not accept that any repair would take tat long. It is simply a case of them not trying hard enough, Now they have your boat and repair started you can go to the bottom of the pile. If it was my boat and it was ruining my summer, I would be in the shop owners face until I had that resolved. You should not accept that it takes this much time. Sporty.
  9. Drought

Western Canada highest lake level I have seeen at this time of year in 10 years. No drought here.
  10. So I have been super happy with the performance still of the SV240 with the hull bubble and 14.5" prop. It seems I can run a bit less weight and have a better wave on both sides. I just dropped using the forward of fuel tank ballast (500lbs) due to popped fitting and the wave seems to have gotten better, longer and steeper. I know that does not make sense but after surfing it back to back that is what we are finding. RPM's have still been in the 400 to 500 lower range, all seems to be good. I went under the boat yesterday with a mask to have a look and all looks good below as well. No erosion on the bubble or hull at this point. Just an update for anyone interested. I will think to take some picks next time out. Probably going to be a few days at this point. Cheers
  11. There is very little chance the old seal is any good, I agree, just ask them to install a pss and offer to pay the difference. Now is the time for sure. Good luck and I hope you get back on the water very soon.
  12. Highjack! I will have to look at home for a drawing. I had it fabbed from aluminum and as quite specific in how I designed and installed. There is only limited room forward of the rudder assembly in order to get the bubble placed. I may be home this weekend for a stock car race and I will have a look for the drawing. I had the fab work done last Oct so my mind is a bit fuzzy on the details. Cheers.
  13. Boy now would be the time with all that gear out, but really a bubble is more of a winter project. Lots involved unless you reallly wrere to get on it while waiting for your parts. Good luck dude, I hope you get back on the water soon. It is a short season here.
  14. Call Marine Hardware in Wa. They will have everything except the prop in stock. Good luck. sorry to see that kind of damage.
