  1. Upgrading and old sacks...

I made panel savers from some steel channel and just rust-oleum'd them. The steel channel was $21 and the store cut three holes in each for me too! I got this at a hardware store. What I mean by the front one is, when you open the rear locker there is two panels (same on each side)... a longer one (rear) and the front shorter one. My rear pieces came standard with panel savers, but the fronts didn't. For the larger screws, when you take the panels out you'll notice a channel on the motor bay floor that the panels sort of fit into. There is 6 screws i believe and they are TINY. Un-screw them and bring that piece to a hardware store. Fit the biggest screws that will still stay flush with the channel and buy them. They only need to be like 1/4" long or something It sounds labor intensive, but it's seriously a 5 minute total job minus the driving, which i was about 10 beers deep so my girlfriend drove me.
  2. Upgrading and old sacks...

The panel savers and the larger screws in the channel that the panel fits into on the bottom are very quick and easy to replace. Just find larger screws then a drill bit that's a touch smaller and drill out the holes then screw in the channel with the new screws. Takes five minutes total. My 1100 will get very full. I usually shut it off just before it pops the locker door open. Definitely gets more than the standard bag and will list the boat more. I still haven't dialed my wave in as my drain master valves don't work and my new ones get installed on Monday. Good luck!!
  3. Upgrading and old sacks...

When I put the 1100 FlyHigh in my rear port locker I bought two new quick connects. It took 1 second to disconnect the old bag, and 2 seconds to screw in the new ones and hook up the ballast lines. They are also cheap. I don't know why anyone would try and "melt" the old ones off. Just buy new ones. Also, even if you're divider panels are braced from the factory you'll still want to strengthen the front one. And also, PUT LARGER SCREWS IN THE CHANNEL ON THE BOTTOM!!! They'll pop out and ruin your day. The standard ones are tiny and all the weight rips them out. It's a VERY easy swap out. Just take the channel to the store and buy a larger screw.

Hello. Just got a new to me (used) 2015 S226 with 140 hours. Have a few questions.. 1) What's the best way to setup for port side surfing? Fill the rear engine bag full, do I add any weight anywhere else? Also, is there an easy way to check how full the bags are that aren't in the engine compartment? Or just go by time filling? Trim tab at what %? I usually only have 2 other people in the boat if this changes anything 2) I was sort of confused with the Quick Fill system. I wasn't able to go for a demo as we've had really bad weather (rain/cold) for the last week and I wanted to get the boat home. Do I fill these when I'm not moving? Press open, then do I need to go in reverse or will they fill well enough just sitting? I then press close after how much time? To empty I would assume opening then moving forward would empty them? 3) I'm getting A LOT of engine noise when idling. It also sounds like the platform may be vibrating a little causing some extra noise. I read an FAE could help this? Is this true? 4) Anything else I should know about this boat?

You'd think they could angle the valve so the handle opens into the engine bay since there is so much room there. Thanks for the pointers, I'll try this next time. Hopefully it helps out!

Even with the stock bag it looks like the bag will hold the handle down, unless the valterras have a different setup to them. I guess next time I can open the valves, then fill the bag after the quick fills are done. Should I do them both, or just port side?

Ok, so first time wake surfing behind the boat. The water was absolutely freezing and I think my balls are still tucked somewhere up in my stomach but that's not what this is about. At this point I'm pretty disappointed and looking for some help... The wave looks good, but has almost no push and it very hard to keep on. I went out with a buddy who competes in surf comps and even he was having trouble with it.. 1100 lb sac in rear port locker nearly full Center tank full (water was coming out side of boat) Wake plate anywhere from 100% to 25% Speed 11.2 to 11.4 I hate to say it was embarrassing, but it sort of was. There was one other person in the boat sitting in the back port side of the boat as well. Again, the wave looks good, but it just doesn't perform at all. Now keep in mind my quick fills don't work and I just got a call stating they can be installed on the 12th. I don't know if that will change anything. I'd rather not have to spend $500 on lead, or other bags as I sort of figured this boat would be ready to ride as is (minus the 1100 bag I put in the locker). So any thoughts? Also, my speakers/stereo worked for a little bit. But are now clicking/popping again. I even turned the stereo off and they clicked/popped until I flipped the actual stereo switch.

Ok so was on the boat all weekend and have a few questions...again So being this is my first inboard boat I just want to check to make sure some things I've noticed are normal. So clearly they make more drive line noise than and I/O or outboard... When I'm stopped, crank the wheel and hit the throttle it's MUCH louder (drive line/trans noise) than if I'm just going straight from a stop and hit it. Even my girlfriend noticed the noise and mentioned it didn't sound normal. Not sure if this is expected, or makes sense?? When I'm driving I have to keep the trim tab at 100% otherwise it porpoises very bad. Is this also normal? Obviously it isn't a big deal, just want to make sure driving at WOT with the trim tab at 100% isn't going to cause issues in the long run. This is with zero weight in any of the tanks. Also, somehow the front starboard speaker is blown which I have no idea how, and the deck is showing "Low Power" and I can't play music anymore.. Has this happened to anyone before? My battery voltage is showing a touch over 13.5. It did rain over the weekend while we were out so the deck could have gotten wet.
  9. S21 listing a bit

Mine does this as well. It's a VERY slight list even with everything empty. I just figured it was because of the batteries, and sub underneath the port storage.
  10. So my valves came in and the dealer asked if I wanted them to do it, or if I wanted to do it... Now with Memorial weekend almost here there is no way I could get them installed by them in time. I need to pull the boat out anyways to install a drain plug light. How difficult is it to install these? It's an S226
  11. Valterra Valve install??

Yep! Still haven't received any sort of message back as of 9 am yesterday morning. I was told he was going to check with service and get back to me.... It shouldn't take two days to get an answer like this. It's been a struggle from the beginning.
  12. Valterra Valve install??

Here's the thing. I bought the boat about 3 weeks ago, used it twice. The valves don't open or close. So it's not one of those deals I want to wait 3 months to have installed. They've been difficult to deal with and I was hoping they'd be quicker/more responsive to fixing this issue in a timely matter since I had just gotten the boat.
  13. Valterra Valve install??

Thanks... Yeah if that's the case I'm probably better off having the dealer do it. I don't need the boat ending up at the bottom of the lake, or the switches not working because I wired something wrong. Only problem is now I'm being told it could be a couple weeks.
  14. Lead

I spoke with a Supreme dealer here when I ordered my 1100 sac for the rear port side. He told me Supremes don't like any bow weight as they're already bow heavy and it causes the wave to actually become harder to get/dial in. Now I'm 100% new to Supremes so anything I say should be taken with a grain of salt. With what he said in mind I didn't order and weight bags, I also went against his suggestion and installed the 1100. With that bag nearly full, center tank 1/4 to maybe 1/2 full and one person in the boat the port side wave is GREAT. Trim tab is 75%. I have yet to fill the center tank full yet, or even the quick fills at all. I will say, the front end definitely does stick up, but the boat lists enough to make my GF think we're going to flip. So are there people here who've added an 1100, and then lead later on and seen a difference?
  15. So my tower speakers are pretty quiet, its a stock system and the sub is as well. Can someone tell me if there's a separate control for the tower speaker volume, or what I should set everything at to help with my stock system? I understand it won't be super loud, just wondering if I'm missing something. Luckily I have a local guy who can come to me later on this summer and put some more power in it

I was running the port 1100lb bag nearly full, trim at 75% and maybe 1.5 minutes filling the center ballast tank. No other weight was used. The boat was definitely listed, but the front was also high. Had to stand up while driving. I was hoping to not need to add weight up front, but if that's what people are doing than I guess that's that.
  17. New member '15 S226

Is there anyway to keep the front down when trying to surf? I noticed it rides pretty high
  18. New member '15 S226

Gotcha. Yeah Friday was OK, but yesterday I think I filled it a little more than what I should have. I'm going to get some bigger screws and see if that might help.
  19. New member '15 S226

Well I also managed to pop the lower divider bracket out with the 1100 bag full. The screws are tiny and I can see why. However the wave is NICE!
  20. New member '15 S226

Well I just found out my Drain Masters aren't working! I can hear the motors but the valve isn't moving.......

Hmm... My first reply isn't showing up.. But yes, we're on Harrisons right by the Seton Channel. I drive on 19 everyday so I'll keep a lookout! We spend a lot of time cruising in North Arm, and also hanging out in Forest Lake and whatever others bays aren't packed if we're not at Big dealing with that debauchery. It'll be nice to get with another Supreme owner out there! I'm installing that 1100 sac tomorrow and will report back on the change in wave. Also, I noticed my left Quick Fill switch isn't lighting up when I press it. Is there a fuse, or a connection somewhere I can check to make sure all is well? The boat isn't on a lift yet, and the water is fricken freezing so I can't look to see if they're opening or what.

I have a question that's sort of related but not, I apologize for hijacking your thread... I work at a business with no loading dock, nor do I know anyone that has a loading dock.. Where would I have this stuff delivered then?

Yeah, we're on Harrisons right by the Seton Channel. I take 19 everyday to and from work, so I'm very familiar with the area. I'll keep an eye out tonight for your boat! We also do a lot of hanging out in North Arm. I'm installing the 1100 sac tomorrow I'll report back with how it worked. Don't see many Supremes out there so it'd be nice to run into another one! Also, changing gears..... I noticed my left quick fill switch doesn't light up when I press it. Could this be a fuse? I heard the connection could have come loose as well. What should I check, and where do I look?
