  1. Did you try listed with or without the wake shaper? I'm curious how the listed wave looks on both sides with just the stinger plate added versus the a-plate. I really need to clean up my goofy wave, but I'd love to get the bow down at the same time.

When you get your Valterra's, you'll see that there is an opportunity to do that. You just have to notch the engine divider so the handle has room to travel for opening. Good luck!

That is true. You have to open the QF before you fill the bag. I read an old post on here once that said the QF tanks don't actually fill all the way until the bags weight the rear down. So I was opening the valves and then started to fill the bags. When the bag water got to the level where I couldn't easily move it, I closed the valve. Definitely do surf side QF. Right now on my 21 I fill both and then while we're at surf speed I start to feather the opposite side switch to let a little water out. I just help shape the wave this way.

The quickfills will absolutely make a difference. You can still cycle them manually. That's what I did until my Valterra's arrived. With only 1 other person on the boat, I do think you'll need to add lead at some point. Or, a bigger crew.

No kidding. It's just absolutely insane.
  6. S21 listing a bit

My drain masters failed within 10 hours of running the boat. I didn't realize the valves weren't releasing water until I tried to switch sides. If you can see yours opening and closing with the switch, i'm sure it's good.
  7. S21 listing a bit

You checked the pnp bags but did you check to see that your hardtank valves were opening / closing and empty? Could be a valve failure keeping water in the tank.
  8. From S211 to S238

Wow that's nuts and an easy call to make on the upgrade. I'm limited to my tow vehicle for the next few years otherwise I would have been shopping bigger as well. Congrats!
  9. Lead

This is exactly what I've been doing with my S21 the last few times out. I have no bow or center tank so I put 150 pounds of lead up front and another 150 out back on surf side (i'll move more up front if I have a big crew.) Port surf with 10-20% trim tab and starboard with 90% tab down. I don't have quick surf either so I shape my wave with a suckgate, but only for the starboard side. Listed port fine without.
  10. Nice. I can't see the pics, but I want to do the same. My swim deck and kick pads are in rough shape. I emailed them directly in the middle of April and after one response I never heard back. I guess I'll have to go to the dealer.
  11. What's all in your quiver??

I've only been surfing since Feb and I already have 6 boards on my boat. I need to slow down here a bit. Soulcraft Sparling 4'6" (my main board right now) Soulcraft Super AV 4'4" (my wifes) Doomswell Neo 4'6" Hyperlite Broadcast 5'5" (skim boat board) Liquid Force something 5' (surf boat board) CWB dash 44" (skim for my young boys) I just need a skim board for me and my wife. Not really looking for anything custom, just something to play around on when we want to skim. I've settled in on the Sparling most days. Now I'm playing around with different fins from finatic.
  12. Love the orange personally. Good looking boat!
  13. I'm excited to see your results. I want to get my bow down.

That's a bummer. The Drain Masters in my 21 were shot right out if the box too. The Valterras are perfect so far, they just take up so much more room. The fuse, if you didn't find it, is right under the steering wheel, probably bundled up with other wires. Trace the switches and you'll see the inline white fuse holder.
  15. I actually have a similar problem on my CMS2. My kids' Samsung S7 & 6 work perfectly, but my Google Pixel and Nexus tablet will connect and drop the connection repeatedly. There's no further update available for me. I'm waiting to see what the Wet Sounds head unit is going to go for. I wanted to add a 220 controller in the future and this seems to have the functionality built in. http://www.wakeworld.com/forum/showthread.php?t=805524
  16. So if I don't have quick surf, I should be looking for an A-Plate? I like the idea of helping to push the bow down, because I ride really high up front (I'm guessing partially because I don't have a front tank on the 21.) I do have a goofy clean up issue though and don't want to hurt my port side wave. It's pretty dialed.
  17. Suck gate to trim tab

That's a really cool idea. I've never thought about using it that way. Any issues with the suction not holding?
  18. Boat went in!

Oh cool, that makes me feel a little better.
  19. Boat went in!

I saw an old thread of yours where you posted the locker dims of the 226 and I didn't think mine was as large when I measured. Of course I didnt write my dims down so I'll see how they look when I get the bags on Wednesday.
  20. Boat went in!

Damn, I read this now after ordering 1100's for my S21. Now I'm having second thoughts.
  21. I like those racks Corson makes and I emailed with him a few times and was pretty close to pulling the trigger. It would be cheaper than these, but on the S21 the tower is already pretty low comparatively. I think some of my taller friends and family would have to crouch and that's kind of a pain. I was all set to have some pockets sewn in on the top of my bimini but my dealer wants the bimini for 3 weeks to do it. It's way too hot for that in AZ already.
  22. I don't think they'll work on my tower because it's not listed, but I've been eyeing these too. I've been told not to keep my nice surf boards on my racks due to potential damage. Looks like these would cut down on that possibility.

Thanks! Starboard is surfable so I'm not complaining. I tried to surf port side too because I liked the way it looked but I'm going to need a lot more practice before that feels comfortable. I tried different weights this weekend and used a nauticurl suckgate. Here's what was going on in the pics. Small crew: My wife (driving,) her mom and my two school aged kids. Mom sat surf side (140lb maybe?) and the kids monkey'd around wherever they wanted. 200 lbs of lead in surf side locker furthest corner, both quick fills full, surf side 550 pnp filled, opposite pnp about 50% full. Nauticurl on. I was running no weight in the opposite side QF/PnP for a while. It had a nice look on goofy, but lacked push. I should have dialed back the port side PnP on the goofy ride to see if I could clean up the wave, but we were having fun. Next time. Oh, I don't have quick surf, but on goofy the plate was at 100% and regular 25%. I have some 1100 lb PnP bags coming whenever Fly High ships them out. I know I won't get them to capacity but I'm hoping for around 800 lbs. Also going to get 400 lbs. of lead to put under the seats and/or bow.

Ha, water temp was 67 in the morning and 73 when we got off and I'm still in a wetsuit. I tried to go without. Just can't do it. Only owned the boat since February and it's my first. Still playing with the wave settings but I've got a lot of good setup info here just by reading. I wish goofy was as clean as the port side. Hopefully new bags and more lead help out.
  25. SYN4 for Rev 10's?

I have a S21 with no tower speakers and just purchased some Rev 10's. Wetsounds has a special/clearance price on older SYN4 amps (https://wetsounds.com/pages/products/SYN4_spec.html). They'll output 400 x 2 bridged, but is that too much for REV 10's? They're rated at 300RMS so that's why I'm asking. I could just use 2 of the channels not bridged at 200 watts, but from what I read that's not using them to full potential.
