  1. The 2 US companies don't use Lead anymore either...I think it's steel. Not 100% sure though, but it's definitely not lead.
  2. lol...I wish I could. We have a lot of ducks. my kids like feeding them when we are anchored but when docked they like to sit on the platform. hopefully once the marina gets busier they will scare off...
  3. I should add that I have the wakemakers upgrade so I have midship bags that keep the boat a little more level than JUST having everything in the rear of the boat. I could see needing the center tank if you have no midship bags to keep the bow down a little.
  4. Just saw their website and the pictures. It doesn't solve my problem so I'm gonna hold off. Birds can still stand on that and poop all over it... Need something that attaches to the normal cover and I that us slanted up..
  5. I REALLY need this because we have ducks that like to $hit on it all week when it's in the water. I'm going to google "evolution covers" now. Did you pick one up and try it out yet? Any pictures of it on your boat? I was going to rig a tarp, somehow...ha
  6. FINS

Quick question. I'm new, riding(or trying to) a 4'10 Doomswell NEO. It has 4 fins. Can someone explain what different fin combinations would do? I have all 4 on. Never tried anything else. I assume NO FINS would make the board really hard to keep straight and probably not something anyone riding a surfstyle board would do.(or do you) What does removing the rear most fins do, or the forward fins? I'm being told to remove the rear fins next time out and it will help make the board faster and make it easier for me to learn to stay on the wave. This weekend I dropped the rope but I feel like I'm REALLY leaning over on my front foot to stay on the wave. It's almost uncomfortable. Thoughts on if removing those fins will help me? Thanks!
  7. FINS

Front comes out first. Stuck the little Allen key in that hole and pull up from that same side. Mine were tight too but they come out. Make sure you have the little screw all the way out so it's not still holding it in a little... Just pulled mine yesterday. Tight but took me 2 minutes.
  8. Lead

Going on my memory a 45lb plate is definitely lower in height than the lead wake bags I have. I'd say a bag is about 3-4 inches high. The difference however is they are not round and wide like the 45lb plate so you can focus the weight more to a single area. Also, I can't imagine stacking 4 plates on each other and even if you did, it isn't much weight. 4, 50lb bags would fit inside or close the circumference of 1 plate.(although they would be a little higher. I have the wake makers sacks in my rear lockers now and 400lbs(6 bags) of lead with the bag, and all fits fine. I don't know how well 400lbs in plates would fit with an upgraded bag. The only good thing about the plates you have is I'm guessing you had them or they were free. I spent just over 500 on 10 bags of lead. buy 9 and the 10th is free from leadwake. Good luck!
  9. FINS

I will be pulling the two back small fins next trip out. I spoke to a few people including Brock at doomswell. I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks!
  10. I'm new to all of this but I am knee deep in trial and error mode. I've tried a ton of suggestions from this forum and from facebook groups, and from my dealer. I've been in contact with a bunch of people in private conversations who really seem to know the boat as well. The bow bag should be empty. It's more for the wake boarding wake. I found filling it depletes the wave AND causes rollers to swamp the front of the boat at low speeds...lol(getting everyone's shoes wet since I keep them up there. I have also found that it doesn't really ride nose high with all the weight in the back. the center tank helps a little but there are a bunch not using it often and when using it, only filling it 50% or less. Like I said, I'm a total newbie but since I am so new, I've been asking more questions than these seasoned guys to EVERYONE and I've never had anyone tell me to fill the bow bag. Everyone says leave it empty and if people are sitting up there, get them in the back of the boat. Getting the wake right is definitely a science. Playing with it is growing on me but I wish it were simpler because I care about surfing more than playing with settings as of now. Good luck!
  11. I keep meaning to ask this but forgot. As many of you know, I just got my boat. From day one I noticed the starboard bench seat doesn't go down all the way. The seat is actually starting to bend... Anyone have this issue? Seems to be a rubber piece on the end that is not installed in the correct place as it causes the bench seat to not fit unless the corner seat is out. If I pull the corner seat it fits but then the corner doesn't fit back in its spot. Is it just me? I'll try and snap a picture this weekend... Mike
  12. I got the canvas bag with everything too. I ALSO just got a box of swag from supreme Friday. Hat, coozys and real nice dry sack.
  13. Lead

Did you get to video anything H?
  14. Let's See Your Rides

    Just got mine. 2017 S238
  15. Lead

No pictures or video today. I was just testing a whole bunch of different things that didn't work for me. I have someone on Facebook who is going to tell me their exact settings in the morning. They have a sweet looking wave non listed with the WakeMakers upgraded ballast package. I've also had quite a few people say the boat is great and once dialed in its just insane. I just wish figuring it out was easier. I'm not looking to waste a summer playing with settings. I'll keep you posted. Let me now how you make out this weekend. I'll be reading from my tent in the woods on Saturday might! Lol
  16. Lead

I'd REALLY appreciate that. I got camping with my kid this weekend and softball/tball games like crazy next week after work so I'm probably not going to make it back until memorial day weekend. Thank you!

ok. Stock ballast bag with 350lbs of lead under it.(port side) Starboard had 100lbs of lead and started with 15%(75lbs or so) then even tried 50% full Starboard later. 450lb sumo sac was half full on the seat. QF port and star and bow tanks were full. 0% in the bow bag(pnp). Tried speed from 11.2-11.8. quick surf was off, then on with a setting of 75, then 60, then 30, then 20.(tried everything) The wave was bigger but the push wasn't there. It was more than stock but the pocket was so small and about 5ft off the swim platform. Any slight turn and you got washed out with no chance of recovery because there was no push in any other spot. Dropping the rope worked but for maybe 10 seconds at a time(15 max) then you wash out. The boat was listed pretty hard. I didn't know what was "ok" so I stopped the 450lb sumo at about half.(225lbs roughly) Driver was about 215lbs, my daughter is 50 and my cousin is 160. They were port side watching. Not really impressed. I'm actually a little depressed about the whole thing. I expected it to be good today with a nice big pocket and it was still pooh. If you all weren't here saying it does eventually work with the right setup I think I'd be on the phone with my dealer or even supreme telling them their biggest boat shouldn't even have the word surf on the side. I'm that upset about it right now, and frankly a little lost on what to try next even with the ballast upgrade coming. I'm just bummed out overall. Did I buy the wrong boat or are my expectations of dropping the rope (like every little kid on youtube) just too high? Am I going to waste the whole summer trying to drop the rope? Super bummed.
  18. I'm VERY new too and started a similar thread. Most of the guys here posted there and there is a TON of good info. You'll spend a few hours copy and pasting names and boards to check prices and such from that thread. From my understanding the push might be more the wave than the board but you would need to post your wake setup so the guys can tell you if you need to add weight or if the board isn't for you. Check out the thread called "let's talk wakesurf boards".

H,(Your private messages are turned off man) Finally heading to the boat today just to test the wake with the lead and the 450 seat sac to see the difference from stock to EXTRA weight. I'm trying to follow your exact weight setup but I'm a little off.(but close) I'm looking to drop the damn rope so if I accomplish that today then I'm going to be real happy. I have the upgraded sacs coming in and getting installed this weekend.(which should put me right where you are) The question is - You said "trim at 20% and speed at 11.2 - 11.8 mph depending on what you are comfortable with. To shape we use 10 -20% quick surf" TRIM - This is the stinger plate, right? 0-100 so you are saying set it to 20 or 70? 10-20% quick surf - So, under EDIT, what number(s) should I be around? Keep in mind I have the screen on the '17 so I'm not exactly sure what people mean by "clicks" on the rocker switches and such. Meeting my buddy at 5pm. If you get a chance to reply before then I would appreciate it. I don't care about anything today other than dropping the rope...:)
  20. My bimini seems ok. I only tried it once but once I figured it out it seemed ok. We had tons of rain so I haven't had a chance to get to the boat but I'm going to have my dealer take a look at the seat. Little disappointed in the quality control aspect on the seat but it's minor I guess.
  21. What's all in your quiver??

How much for the liquid force? What's the difference between that and the liquid force el guapo? (http://www.evo.com/wakesurf-boards/liquid-force-guapo-board.aspx#image=110385/454564/liquid-force-guapo-wakesurf-board-2017-5-2-.jpg)
  22. I just got a 2017 S238. I didn't get the TOWER speakers. My stereo sounds awesome. I'm wondering if something is wrong with the setup on yours. Might want to ask the dealer. Maybe they have another on the lot and you can compare the sound to yours. Mine is perfect. I see no reason to upgrade it. The sound is crisp! Let us know how it works out. Definitely check with the dealer first to make sure it's working ok.
  23. 2018 boats

Might be a little early still. The Supreme screens just came out this year so I'm guessing those will stay the same but who knows.
  24. Filling gas on boats on lift/in water

I wish I could use any of that. It's frowned upon to gas up with your boat in the slip. 1) They say it's not safe and therefore against the coastguard rules and 2) they want you to pay the $5 a gallon at the pump on the lake. I got away with it for most of last season but then I was caught because someone complained who had a boat a few slips down and ruined it. I didn't get a ticket but they said someone complained and told me I really wasn't supposed to be doing it.
