  1. Can't pull codes with auto scanner. Cheapest I have seen run about $400. I would think most performance boat shops could read the codes. No need for a Centurion dealer.
  2. I had many off the same symptoms. Code 43, showed an ignition problem. Replaced coil, idle air control and mass airflow sensor. MAF is what finally fixed it,
  3. Doing some test runs. After a minute or so at 3000 or more RPM's I get a constant warning alarm. I reduce power and the alarm goes away. Gauges read fine, so it's something that's not monitored with a gauge? If I take it to a shop will a code have been set or do I need to do some other trouble shooting?
  4. There's always risk when taking on a project like this. Just plan for the worse and hope for the best. I figured for what I bought the boat, I could replace everything plus get a complete crate motor and still be $5000 under what I could ever buy a comparable one. So far I got lucky and have around $2300 in sensors and electronics.
  5. Really not much needed for the cosmetic restoration. Interior is all original. Amazing that it all stayed intact. The main issue was removing a couple inches of mud from the engine compartment. One issue we have, the light gray vinyl turns a rust color when covered. After it is opened up in the sun it turns back to normal. After some research it appears that isn't that uncommon.
  6. A little background. I purchased this 2008 Falcoln V last fall. It was an insurance salvage. It spent a week under about 50 feet of water after the previous owners ill fated surfing attempt. After replacing most of the sensors and all the injectors we got it running. Took it out today and ran really good. Had a warning at high rims, which I believe is a v-drive warning. I will change the fluid again and give it another test. Speedo acted real weird. Never gave a correct speed. Other issue was with the depth gauge. Keep giving a low depth warning and never actual depth. Overall very pleased for a first run.
  7. Fill side of switch turns on puppy pump and supply's power to respective (sprinkler valve?) to open.. Empty side of switch just turns on the respective bilge pump that empty the tank.
  8. Need to do some Mx on the bunks. Floating it off in the lake isn't practical. Where can I safely jack up the stern? Just need to lift it a couple of inches.
  9. Current set up is a single puppy pump mounted on the forward firewall of the engine compartment. That feeds two valves on the stern that feed the respective port and starboard ballast tank. To empty them it just a standard bilge pump on each tank. Thanks for the suggestions.
  10. On a 2008 Falcoln. Where can I get replacement ballast valve parts? On my setup. Water travels from the Water Puppy to the stern, where there appear to be a couple solenoid valves. Looks like I need a replacement solenoid.
  11. . Really appreciate the pics. Gives me a good srarting point. I will see if what I can figure out.
  12. The guy that supplied the new injectors, had never heard of them melting before.
  13. Anyone with some pictures of how a Falcon V Bimini is supposed to be configured. When the Submarine landed on the bottom it tweeked the bimini a bit. The more detailed picture the better. Thanks
  14. Update on the sunk boat. Got her up and running. ( had her put away in the fall). To start with had to replace the ecm. Sent it into Simon Motorsports in hopes the could repair it. No chance. Bought a replacement from them, very helpful folks. After the ecm still getting no life, so crank position sensor was next, along with fuel pump and filter. Still couldn't get the thing to fire. Checked everything, including pulling the distributor and resetting everthing from scratch. ( side note. Two different distributors, both had the screws that hold the rotor break and/or strip out. It's a plastic base and becomes brittle with the heat of the engine compartment. So common that there is a production stamped metal part from Dorman, model 90449) Ended up pulling the injectors to check. 6 of the 8 injectors had been melted, presumably because of the trashed ECM. After replacement of injectors, it fired right up. Now just have to dial everything in. https://goo.gl/photos/1UT4mip7GF8fqNpi7 https://goo.gl/photos/bQxnjdXayPQbyhLu6
  15. Hey Etz, Saw this on craigslist and thought maybe you might be interested. http://sacramento.craigslist.org/bpo/5752099978.htmlThat's not a bad price. Hope I don't have to resort to that though. What's your thoughts on converting to a carberated motor? Would be a real cheap fix.
