Should I get FAE (Fresh Air Exhaust) for SV244?
DarksideR replied to InfinitySurf's topic in Centurion Boats General Discussion
Haha! Yeah, been a busy winter for me. Got some interesting things on the go. More on that later. Thanks to you and Chris DiFranco messaging me on Instagram, I got my order placed in time. Can't wait to get surfing WITHOUT my drysuit and boots! Can't wait to see just how quiet the boat gets with the FAE -
Should I get FAE (Fresh Air Exhaust) for SV244?

Just started thinking about this today.... of coarse I just missed the deadline. Lol. Gonna give them a call in the AM anyway -
Quad fins will definitely help. shes gonna be pumped!

Depends how "twitchy" the LFV was... I don't notice it myself, but when my wife first rode my Emily, she had a really hard time because of (really, the responsiveness of the board). I was surprised, because she rides her DD P5 skim like a champ. Just tell your wife to be prepared for it. It MAY take some time to get used to. But it truely is and amazing board! Good choice.

But then he goes and changes up the models and also adds new ones! You'll never find "the one"... maybe that's a good thing. LOL

ANNOUNCEMENT: Official 2016 Centurion Boats All New Ri237 Model Details and Photos
DarksideR replied to CrewAdmin's topic in News From Centurion Boats and Dealers!
Hey rockballer... just buy the damn boat! Just put an agreement in with Tony that there can't be any surprises. You want an all taxes and fees amount... out the door price. You better act fast cause they only make so many and early build dates have likely already been filled. I believe build time is approx 4 weeks.- 151 replies

No, I think you were right. You can see the stringer in the yellow parts. If it were real carbon fibre, you wouldn't be able to.
-
REALLY!? Painted? Wow. Oh well, looks cool. What model is that? Another Bomb Pop?
-
Looks killer! Full carbon large weave? Should handle some serious abuse. Congrats

Saddest day of the year right!? -
LOLOL! I believe the material is actually called Inegra. Just found someone using it on Instagram. NWBS, is this a new brand made by Jeff for you guys?

Yep, my folks are snowbirds. They spend close to 6 months a year in their RV down south. Usually they go to Yuma. And that'd be a fun trip! I'll have to bring you some good Canadian salsa... or uh, maple syrup. Lol -
Look forward to seeing her new model. I think I got the same stronger glass material in my current build. He said its "carbon like". I think it's called Aramid glass. So far it hasn't broken, but the front footbed still caved in a little under my foot. How could you not try Jimmys board!? Shame. Lol

That was gonna be my guess. Lol. Yes, us "snow mexicans" are very jealous of your warm water. And the value of your dollar! How's that spare room looking? Cause a trip to AZ is sounding pretty damn good to me! Lol -
Current model is the HC pro. The rocker is slightly less than the Emily. But I think there's two separate issues with it that's making it pearl on me. One is that it's roughly an inch narrower than the Emily. This seems to make the board a little quicker rail to rail, or "twitcher". The second thing is the bottom concave. I believe it's what makes the board faster, but it starts too soon on the nose. I'm positive this is the main reason it's diving downward. I've heard VERY good things about the new JS Jimmy Sparling model. If I could, I'd trade my HC for that. Although, I'm not a fan of the fang tails.

Wow! Wave looks insanely good! And I think you're spot on. She really does have the best switch riding. Might be trying the suck gate on my friends S238 tomorrow. And agreed... that last pic is fire -

Is it necessary to be loaded level while using these suction slappers? I wouldn't think it would matter.- 111 replies

There's a tower. I think the boat would flip before pulling anyone up though! -
Towing capacity
DarksideR replied to Sfb330's topic in Centurion Boat Maintenance, Performance, Troubleshooting
Irocnparts used to tow his sv240 with a VW Touareg diesel through the mountain passes with zero issues. Remember him saying it towed better than his F-350 diesel. Sooo.... yeah. I tow my Fs33 with my F-150 rated to pull 8700lbs. I've never felt "unsafe". It stops great. That being said, no way would I attempt to tow it through the mountains. I think it would do it.... but I'd piss a lot of people off at how slow I was going. Lol. If you're really concerned about it, there's always this http://vancouver.craigslist.ca/pml/boa/5857285053.html I've seen this boat in person. It's both hilarious and awesome at the same time. Only thing is gonna be over the weight limit of is a Schwinn -
