  1. I don't know the exact setup, but it's a Ramfill boat. So, all bags full. Starboard Ram full. Port Ram 80-90%. Running a bit of CATS and he has the A Plate. There's less need for the carbon vent covers when running the boat not listed. But I'd still get them.
  2. Aerators may have a hard time pushing against the head pressure of a filling bag. But, it should work fine. you're only real option here is to have the lowest port your drain, the one above it as your fill, and the top other end one the vent/overflow with a flapper valve.
  3. Agreed. I mentioned that and the fact it seems to be too short to Larry through email and got no reply. I may have to get it modified by a fabricator myself. Shouldn't have to do this. They used to ask for some measurements before making them, but I was never asked. I assumed that they had it all figured out... Lesson learned. Gotta get it sorted out quick. Summer's here... ok, not quite. But soon?
  4. There is pretty much zero adjustability in the solid single port exhaust FAE for this. The only adjustment you can make is angle side to side. I'm currently waiting for them to send me a "spray diverter plate" that attaches to the downtube. Similar to what Nautique uses. Will see if that helps with my spray issue.
  5. My FAE just installed at 3" above the center of the prop.
  6. Swell on a FS33

Not sure a larger plate is the answer.
  7. My buddies S238 when he first got it. We had extra weight. This wasn't totally dialled but the goofy wave is pretty close to as good as we got it.
  8. It doesn't work for every boat or even on both sides of the same boat, but I've had great success when adding the right amount of counterweight. Any Enzo setting up to surf the regular side should be putting 400#'s plus in the starboard side of the boat. Try it in the rear locker, if the wave gets too steep and short, move it up to the starboard seating area. This is where having lead really helps in dialling in your wave. Aaaand... I have to SOMEWHAT agree with Carguy. Partly because it'll piss off H (LOL JK bud, I agree with what you're saying too). Having a wave with alot of push will help someone when learning. Hell, it helps the best of us, just those of us that have been doing it a while can deal with a crap wave more easily. Also, I am incredibly impressed with what a "suckgate" can do for just about any boat! My buddies SV233 has one of the best goofy waves I've ever surfed. And you all know how much I love my FS33 wave.

You went sans boots in 44... somebody give this guy a platinum man card! I think I ditched them at 48 or 50. Gave up the drysuit at 45F. Hate that thing too! So much better in a wetsuit!
  10. Here's my buddies findings with his 2017 Ri237. He dropped between 400-700RPM depending how he setup his ballast. Also noticed running the boat more even weighted reduced the RPMs even though the total ballast #s went up over listed setup. Ok Had the 1235 14.5x14.25 .109 cup Have now 2277 15x15.75 .150 cup The 1589 is a good one too 14.5x16 .135 cup Acme explained to me for every inch of pitch is worth 200 rpm less. But if u go up in prop size u also gain less rpm too. This is speaking for a set up like mine with the vdrive reduction. I might try a 15.5x15.5 #2849 Having the gear reduction gives me I think options ?

"BALLGAZER"! LOL. Not much to see in these temps! XD Yeah, it very well may be a Canadian thing... I dunno, it's pretty silly. Dreamer, I ditched the boots when water temp hit 50F. Feet went numb within 5 mins. Still surfed better than I do with boots!
  12. We've actually had a couple days of sunshine grace us with it's presence so far this month. I was fortunate enough to have one of them off! So here's some pics of our surf crew on tuesday. Everyone had a great time behind my buddies 2017 Ri237. I was ecstatic to be able to ride without booties on and not have my feet go numb within 5 mins! COME ON SUMMER!!

guess it's time to make a May thread...
  14. Swell on a FS33

I never thought about putting one on my FS33 either till we decided to give it a try. My skimboarder friend who surfs regular side, complains all the time about my wave being too steep. Doesn't seem to matter what I do when listed, I just can't get the wave to flatten out and still have good push. But with the suckgate on it, it works! I don't like doing it cause I definitely burn more fuel, but I still do to make the crew happy. Don't know bout anyone else, and I should probably post in a different thread, but... my trim tab barely goes passed level with the bottom of the hull when 100% down. Considering adding an adaptor to the ram connection to allow it to go down further. I never have it all the way up, so it won't hurt me there.
  15. Suckgate-setup

We've had great suck-cess (<sorry) with the Suckgate on my friends SV233 on both sides. Your ballast setup could have something to do with it. And then it couldn't as well. If you don't have enough "counterweight" you'll never get it submerged on an SV. their hulls are just not very tall at the back of the boat. Our setup is everything full, but drain 20ish% out of the non surf side. The goofy wave is ridiculous. Check out suckgate.com for the boat in action.
  16. Is there a port where that red dot is? If so, that's what I'd use for the vent or overflow. The drain/fill ports should point towards the back of the boat, and the vent should point toward the bow. This would ensure the vent is the highest point of the bag.
  17. Floating Log 1 : CATS O

Good stuff Dreamer, and good to see you're getting out already. How's the temps?
  18. New kid in town

I hope this isn't overstepping any lines here, but I figured the community might be ok with it. Some of you already know this but most of you don't. I've been keeping it to myself until the time was right. No, I haven't switched to Tige. LOL. I'd like to introduce you to https://kanukboardco.com/ The first and only Canadian wakesurf company (that we know of). Hand made custom wakesurf and skim boards. Several months ago, a friend of mine and I were approached by a couple guys who were starting up a wakesurf brand and wanted us to ride for them. I was hesitant at first because it was little more than an idea. But after spending some time with them and talking a lot about the direction of the company I was fully on board. What wasn't planned was just how much I'd be involved in it all. It's been fun, and it's been stressful. But most of all, it's very exciting to be a part of. Our family has started growing already with several excellent people riding for us. Stay tuned for more on that soon. Give us a follow on Instagram @kanukboardco and please check out the website. All prices are in "snow pesos" (shout out to Nathan). My favorite board is the Darkstar. It's honestly one of the fastest boards I've ever ridden.
  19. New kid in town

I will talk to the guys and to Doc about it. Don't see why not!? There has been some very cold test days all winter long. I'm pretty brutal at skim, so... yeah. Good thing I'm not the only one that's been testing them. Oh, don't worry, mine will. LOL. The guys loved my design but didn't want to piss off Disney. Don't worry... that was an early prototype. We got all the kinks worked out now. You should see this one we made for Lily! It's ultra thin... I don't have much faith in it though, just something were trying out. Bryce should be bringing a couple boards down. I've gotta find some time to make mine!
  20. New kid in town

That's right. Canadian dollars. Plus free shipping! Thanks everyone. Did I mention were also hosting a competition!? BC Battle of the Wake. Hope some of you can come!
  21. Soulcraft. It's time

Great looking board. The HC is one fast ride!
  22. LETS SEE YOUR RIDES

    Damn nice boats fellas!
  23. Mine just shipped today!! I'm gonna have to go get it out of storage!
