  1. I' am having the same issue with our 2017 Su when it comes to getting a clean wske on both sides for wake-boarding. For an $85k boat there must be something we're missing...at least I hope! Let me know if you find out any helpful and I'll do the same...thanks! Dave
  2. I have the same question, I can't seem to find the 275 lbs. High fly side sacks, the closest I've seen is the 260 lbs. High fly side sacks which as DjOM21 mentioned are 12 inches deep and our boat is in storage right now so can't get exact measurements either. I also wouldn't mine getting another 15 lbs out of each side bag if they are still being sold. Thanks!
  3. Spoke with a rep at Wakemakers.com today in regards to the Supreme 238 BagBuster Complete Ballast Upgrade that they sell and asked him why they didn't make it any larger, especially the rear bags (only 675lbs) and he said that it was due to the locker size. He also said if anyone was using 750+, 850+ sacks in the rear lockers of the S238 that they were most likely not getting the complete weight of the bag regardless if the bag look full and that the better option would be to stick with the Supreme 238 BagBuster Complete Ballast Upgrade and then add lead if you need more weight https://www.wakemakers.com/supreme-s238-bag-buster-kit.html Does anyone have this upgrade kit or know of anyone who does that we can get a review from? I can't find anything online.
  4. Our dealer showed us the basics but I think he mainly deals with Centurions so he didn't really know how to dial in the S238. We did go out with a local wakeboard pro who gave us some really good info but once again probably wasn't the most familiar with the S238. Honestly this forum has been my best resource for learning how to best dial things in and as you will see some of the people on this forum are Supreme dealers and own the S238 which is greatly beneficial.
  5. Thanks DjOM21! Do you know if it relatively easy to link the rear and midship Sumo sacks (I will probably have our dealer on the lake do it) and is there any advantage to them over the High Fly sacks?
  6. If you can get more weight for this summer I would. We have 4 kids, 11 and under and the two that surf (11 and got up no problem with stock ballast with both the surf system and listed. My wife and I struggled a bit more but we did get up on occasion depending on the board but it was not that easy and I only weigh about 170 lbs. The lead made a bit of a difference but I had it under the mid seats and I've realized now I probably should have put it more towards the rear of the boat to make it more effective. The biggest difference we saw was when our friends would visit and they were seated in the back corner of the boat on whichever side we were surfing. This is when it become obvious to me that we really needed more weight in the rear of the boat to make a significant difference with the wave. It's a great boat and we love everything about it, size, space, tower, windshield , etc...just need more weight and you will be good to go! We got our last fall so I have had some time in it, so just let me know if you have any other questions.
  7. Links above didn't work. Here are the ballast sacks: Fly High Pro X Series Side Sac Set (520 lbs, 260 lbs each)) 48"L x 12"W x 12"H Fly High Pro X Series Jumbo V-Drive Surf Sac (1100 lbs)
  8. Thanks H20! I'm taking our boat out of storage in the next week or so so I'm probably not going to be able to wait another couple weeks for all the info before I make a decision on our upgrade. but can you give any hints? I'm assuming your going to probably go with all custom? I looked on wakemakers.com and these seem to be the best option for side ballast sacks that are not custom and available as long as they fit: https://www.wakemakers.com/fly-high-side-sacs.html I was hoping to link those (or at least have our local dealer install and link them) with these rear locker sacks: https://www.wakemakers.com/fly-high-jumbo-surf-sac.html I also already have 500lbs of lead to use as well if needed. Does this sound doable and like a good option?
  9. Thanks Cwazy1, I was actually wondering if I add the side/mid ballast bags connected to the rears which ones you would recommend?
  10. Thanks for your input H20. If I add the side sacks under the mid seats (connected to the rear 1100's) which sacks/ilbs. do you recommend? Please be specific as possible (brand, etc..) because I am going to go ahead and try to order everything I need in the next day or so. Thanks again for you help with this, I really appreciate it!
  11. Thanks again Race City Marine. If you went with the side bags under the mid seats (connected to the rear 1100's) which ones and how many lbs per bag .would you recommend?
  12. I've posted this question on a few different forums so I apologize in advance for the redundancy, but I'm about to pull the trigger on a ballast bag upgrade for our 2017 Supreme S238 and I just want to make sure I go with the best option possible so I'm not paying to change them out a year from now. I am not worried about cost, I just want the best available set up possible. Heck, I paid $80,000 for the boat, I'm willing to pay a couple more grand if it means taking it from an okay surf boat to an unbelievable one! I spoke NW Boats again and they are recommending the 1100 lbs Fly High bags because they have found that the Supreme S238 does better with the majority of the weight in the rear. The rep I spoke with said that the 1100's won't fill all the way but to fill them to the max they will go and then stash some lead on the back transoms for a couple hundred more pounds and I should be good to go. He said this would obviously leave the space under seats for storage if needed, but saving that space is not necessarily a priority for me. It looks like Race City Marine and H20 King recommend going with the 800lbs or 850lbs (not sure which one) in the rear lockers and then connecting them to either 250 lbs or 275 lbs bags (once again not sue which one) under the mid seats. I've also seen Race City Marine mention going with a 350 lbs bag on one side since there is more space and that the driver's weight will help to balance out the difference. I like the idea of the 1100 lbs bags in the rear lockers in order to maximize rear weight, but my concern is that you never really know how much weight you have since you can't fill them all the way. I am obviously new to this, even though we did get the boat last fall and I played around with the stock ballast and 500 lbs of lead (did not enjoy having to move the lead from side to side since we have both goofy and regular riders in our family of 6:), so once again I just want to make the best decision possible in order to maximize this boats surf potential for our family. Please share your thoughts with me. I need to order something soon so I have time to get it installed before Spring gets here. Once I have the upgrade installed I'll be happy to share with everyone here my results as we dial in this boat on together. Thanks again! David
  13. New 2017 S238 videos

I own the 2017 S238 Supreme as well and couldn't agree more with BoardCo. I wasn't sure before I purchased but now that I own the boat I not only love the more aggressive look but the ability to pull up to the dock in addition to being able to view and talk easily to your riders from a sit down position is awesome!!
  14. Just spoke with NW Boats again and they are recommending the 1100 lbs Fly High because they have found that the Supreme S238 does better with the majority of the weight in the rear. 15. Race City Marine & h20king, I spoke to a rep over at NW Boat today in regards to the best way to maximize my new 2017 S238 with aftermarket ballast and he said they no longer are making there kit, they are now recommending throwing 1100 lbs. Flyhigh bags in the rear lockers. He said that they fit and didn't seem to make a big deal out of putting bags under the mid boats seat, other than possible a little extra lead if needed. What are your thoughts on this because I'm hoping it is this simple to get a great wave out of the S238. Thanks as always! - David
