  1. My previous boat was on 07 SV230 and we have an amazing port side wake. We pulled the tank that was under the seat behind the driver and replaced it with a 400# sac. A few hundred pounds of lead between the two port sacs or a couple people sitting in that corner helps. We had gps PP so speed was 11.5 mph for steep wake and 11.2 for a little softer. Wakeplate around 25%. The only time we used ballast in the bow was when there were lots of passenger in the back.

Come on Dark, man up and ditch the booties. Having frozen feet is just the Canadian way.?
  3. Ya, that wetsounds system is pretty sweet. I'm just concerned about fitting a new remote in my dash.
  4. I'm back having issues with the Bluetooth again. My iphone 6 hooks up fine but both my kids android type phones will not play. What a pain. Is the connectivity that much better in the 505 or is there something even better on the market that will work with the in dash remote?
  5. It helps but still not a great goofy wake. We have the A plate on our SV244 along with CATS. Port side wake is great, goofy wake is good.
  6. If you find an Enzo that you really like and it doesn't have a reverse rotation prop then this would be an option: http://www.centurioncrew.com/index.php/topic/11939-making-a-real-good-wake-better/ I have a 2014 SV244 none ramfill and it is an amazing boat. CATS is a must have option. Goofy wake is still not at the level of the port side but still pretty darn good. Gladiator tower is probably the best of the bunch on the Enzo's as it has at least 6' clearance below the tower speakers.
  7. I owned an 2007 SV230 and if I was a goofy rider I would not purchase that boat without the reverse rotation drive. We are all regular riders but a bunch of my friends ride goofy and we could never get a wake with similar push. It will clean up nice with some extra lead in the boat and listed to the point of water coming in the vents but it just won't get the power at the back of the wake that the port side gets. There aren't many boats that can put out a port side wake like the Enzo's can but one with a regular (LH I think) prop would not be my choice for a "goofy side first" boat.
  8. Floating Log 1 : CATS O

I think the CATS were introduced on the 2014 model. Fivebar2, is the shaft hooked up to an electric panel or hydraulic fluid?
  9. Floating Log 1 : CATS O

Thanks for the pictures Fivebar2. I greased the CATS fitting and cycled it a couple of times again today but feeling too lazy to pull the floor again and take the hydraulic shaft out for inspection. Next time we hit the lake I guess I'll find out if it's fixed or not. Maybe I'll order a new one anyway just to have a spare. Any special tools required?

InfinitySurf, just re-reading your post and it doesn't sound like you have any counter ballast. In my boat the QF ballast tanks hold about 500#'s so that is what we run at the back of the starboard side. We do not run bow weight. We're usually just a small crew so passengers sit anywhere on port side. For a larger crew we will move one or two passengers behind the driver on the starboard side seat.

InfinitySurf, I have a 2014 SV244 (not ramfill) and to get the longest strongest wake you have to go 11.5 mph. Our setup for the port wake is both QF full, and the port pro and port pnp full. Also 200#'s of lead jammed in the very back port locker plus another 200#'s between the port sacs. I prefer the wake a bit mellow so CATS at 50 (centered) and the wake plate around 30% and 11.2 mph. My teenagers want steep and long so CATS at 100, wakeplate at 0 and 11.5 mph.
  12. Floating Log 1 : CATS O

First time out this season and the water was 47'. Coldest we've seen for mid April.
  13. Floating Log 1 : CATS O

I did recycle it by turning the ignition on and it worked fine.
  14. Floating Log 1 : CATS O

I didn't see any plastic or broken parts in there. Maybe it's something they've added in newer models.
  15. Floating Log 1 : CATS O

Pulled up the floor to have a look. Underneath the flat black bar there is a clamp holding the cats shaft. Loosen the bolt a little, go underneath the boat and twist the fin to center (the notch in the shaft is at the front now) and tighten the bolt back up. Done!
  16. Floating Log 1 : CATS O

Hmmm, doesn't look as easy in my SV244. Might have to pull up the entire floor.
  17. Floating Log 1 : CATS O

Reviving this thread. Seems that we hit a log in the water today and my CATS fin is out of alignment. Do you have any pictures in what broke or how to fix/realign?
  18. I just responded to you on wakeworld. I have an 817 that's been repitched to 15.5" if you're interested.
  19. The FAE is a must have on any boat. I've had one all all three of mine. That FAE design looks different from the one I purchased in 2014 for my 2014 SV244. Mine came off the boat twice and fortunately got caught up on the wakeplate and did not go to the bottom of the lake. I had a custom frame built to mount it up to the swim platform. I also had major spray issues so had a custom matt built to knock the spray down as well. If you do a search the pictures should be on here somewhere.
  20. It is best to scrub the underside of your boat before you pull it from the lake. It is tough to remove the scurvy once it dries. One product that I have had great success with removing the scum after it dried is FSR Cleaner.
  21. What is the clearance between the prop and the hull? If there is 3/4" clearance and you want an upgrade in holeshot on a heavily loaded boat the Acme 1579 is the way to go.
  22. Thinking of upgrading from the 303 to an M505 but have a couple of questions: Will it work with my existing remote (pic below)? Is this remote hard wired? Boat's in storage so haven't had a chance to dig around in there yet. Also, would the stereo swap just a simple plug and play? Wiring harness is exactly the same so just unplug 303? Thanks for input.
  23. SV244 total with stereo, half a tank of gas but no gear is 7436# 682# on jack 6750# on tandem axles
  24. I'm going to get a new cover for my Enzo and thinking of using Evolution Covers. There is a 2012 SV244 local to him he can use as the template. Mine is a 2014. Was there any differences in these years?
