  1. Welcome to the crew. Need to know more. Have some pictures? Lots of different options. Upholstery = local shop prices very a lot. Tower speakers = you can go cheap or you can go thousands. Again varies a lot on what you want. Inspections - Check the oil colors Milky=water in oil and thats not good. Floor needs to be solid, not sure on the 2000's but if it has a wood floor and it is spongy, probably rotted. Check steering is easy. Check throttle movement is easy. Check how much water gets into the bilge during the lake test, lot of water = need to find out why, could be a shaft seal, could be an engine plug, lots of variables. List goes on and on but this should be a somewhat of a start.
  2. Welcome to the crew. Sorry I don't have an answer for you but hopefully someone can chime in. Are you on Facebook? Try the Official Centurion/Supreme Boat Owners group. Someone might know on there.
  3. Helpful links. You don't need the a-plate for regular side surfing. Really helps the wave on the goofy side.
  4. The Avy regular wave is awesome with out much tweaking. I've done a lot of trial stuff to mine to make my goofy wave the way it is. you need to Remove port hard tank. Get a custom bag that fills the locker and goes up under the port seats, fill it up and surf. The wave will be great. Do some practice driving before listing it as hard as mine. But once you get use to driving it listed, you'll love the wave. Look for BigCatpt custom ballast thread and mine. Of course mine is for the starboard side but it will give you the gist.
  5. Tribal Tower. Same as mine. Love that tower. Lots of people don't like how loud the sideswipe is and end up removing it. To each their own.
  6. Yes. List = lean over to one side. I included a picture of mine listed. Little less than normal because we are resting but you get the picture. Lead is good, I trailer mine all them time so I like the water weight. Empty and go home. I don’t haul around all the extra weight all the time. To list, you need to practice driving and be very aware of your surroundings! When the surfer falls. Bring throttle back to neutral while turning hard to opposite side of the wave. The wave will ouch the back of the boat around and you can drive right back to the surfer. Practice this and you will get the hang of it. Where are you located? If in the DFW area, I’d be more than happy to take you out and show you some listed driving techniques.
  7. Manual for that era boat sucks. don't worry about the manual. Which engine? Black Scorpion 330hp?
  8. An Avy can throw an awesome wave. Make sure the connections are good on the PP. Are you planning on listing the boat, a suck gate or tabs? I list mine and love my wave. Others like the suckgate (fuel hog) and others like adding tabs. If you have to swap sides alot, I recommend the infinity tabs. If you ride the same side all the time, list it and save the $$$. For my listed wave I do the factory center, 1500lb custom sac and about another 200-300 lbs on the seat. the wave is tall, long and has good push. Just a driver maybe a kid or 2. I also have a custom a-plate. Since we only surf goofy, my whole system is designed for that side. I've done write ups on here about my ballast system and plate. Welcome to the Crew!!!!
  9. I can say i am impressed with them also. Seems times to fill are down and cross fill doesn't happen. Only the spots I want to fill do, not all the spots at the same time. The old sprinkler valves sometimes wouldn't shut off.
  10. The falcon V is a very nice boat. It has more of the flat bottom compared to the deep V that most Centurions have. This will make it a bit better for wakeboarding but hinder the surfing a little. The deep V will help surfing but hinder the wakeboarding a little. Which one do you foresee you doing the most of? wakeboard or surfing? Welcome to the crew!
  11. That's weird. So if you have the little knob all the way down, the big knob all the way up, you have no sound? I'm going to DM you my number. Maybe on the phone we can figure this out.
  12. you might have to move around RCA's on the amp also. The downfireing and inboat amps need to be "y"ed or piggy backed. When I wired mine, the inboats and the Downfiring are on one amp. the rear facing are on another amp. just need to see where the RCA's go. If you were in DFW area, I'd look at it for you.
  13. Interesting. So I installed mine in my boat and one in my buddies 2020 Vi24. I wired both the same way. Rear firing on one knob and the inboats (and downfiring on mine, he doesn't have downfire) on the other. I can turn either all the way up or down by just twisting the knob. We leave the master volume on the radio at one level and then just turn the speakers up or down via the Dual Zone Volume knob. The nice thing about that knob is you can configure it any way you want.
  14. I have one like this and it works fine. https://www.amazon.com/EWK-Portable-Extractor-Lightweight-Evacuator/dp/B079FJ21DV/ref=redir_mobile_desktop?ie=UTF8&aaxitk=3LymJNOzhMJrTCIMhMuyVg&hsa_cr_id=3438768230601&ref_=sb_s_sparkle My buddy bought one like this and it works better. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0059HK8JW/ref=sspa_dk_detail_6?psc=1&pd_rd_i=B0059HK8JW&pd_rd_w=zL5cx&pf_rd_p=48d372c1-f7e1-4b8b-9d02-4bd86f5158c5&pd_rd_wg=Ko3uG&pf_rd_r=1K9985FPKSY4BJSGN2PM&pd_rd_r=cbf7f92c-2241-44d3-b73c-f22558f9733d&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEyVE1UUEhDNVYzV1EyJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwMjI4NjkyM0pDMFNZNzVLN1VNRCZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUExMDE2OTM4REY2S1JSUFhBMFJBJndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfZGV0YWlsJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ==
  15. That's not a factory tower. It will need an a-plate built to help the goofy wave. Are you planning on listing the boat or adding tabs to surf?
  16. RCA's got swapped. I installed a knob like this in my boat. Easy to get RCA's swapped. Have the radio going and unplug 1 RCA at a time from the knob and see what stops working then move it to where it is supposed to go.
  17. Love my Avy. Been a great boat. 09+ will get you a little bit taller top cap.
  18. Love my Avy, but with 8 adults go with the 240/244. My listed wave is awesome but I don't have to swap back and forth, goofy all day every day. Swapping back and forth I'd go with the infinity tabs.
  19. After researching Wylie's suggestion, it is a much better route but at an added cost and install headache. if you have the time, talent and money go the Blue Sea route. This kit looks like it has what you would need. https://www.bluesea.com/products/7650/Add-A-Battery_Kit_-_120A Would that be a good kit Wylie_Tunes?
  20. I'm running the battery dr. for about 3 years now and it works great for me. It makes sure the start battery is always fully charged and then starts charging the house. I monitor the batteries and if they start acting weird then I replace. While the boat is at the house I also have an onboard charger that I plug in. My boat had several wires connected to the single battery from factory. I found the wires that go to the starter and alternator and put them on the start battery all the other wires went to the house battery. everything works like a champ. one thing I did that the battery dr. didn't have was I put a switch inline so when the boat is at the house, and I plug in the onboard charger I can turn off the battery dr. I put the switch in line for the ground wire (4) off the battery dr. When I get in the boat, i flip the switch on and the battery dr. does the rest. I think I did a write up on my install. I'll see if I can find it. Edit: didn't find where I did a write up but Wylie-Tunes and I discussed it on this thread also.
  21. Just swapped the valves out. Have to lake test but should be good to go.
  22. Budget stereo build 2008 Avy

JL Audio 12w3. 1.75 cu. ft. Ported enclosure tuned to 30hz. Love the JL sound. Very happy with the outcome. Only complaint is that now the dash rattles.
  23. Well after owning this boat since new, I'm finally upgrading the sound system. Factory. Deck and 4 speakers. (upgraded the speakers a while back to Polk DB's) Adding Downfire tower speakers, 3 amps and sub (sub at a later date, when I can get time to build the box.) I finally found a set of take off Downfires at a reasonable price. Taken off a 2019. I also got the Roswell 650.4 that ran them, the zone control knob and distribution blocks. I had to purchase and modify a bracket to make them work with my Tribal Tower on my Avy. I bought the Wetsounds Downfire adaptors and drilled them out to be able to mount them to the speakers and then did a set of tube tower mounts which also had to be modified to have the speakers straight on the tower and not pointing out to the side. So far I have the modified brackets on the Downfires, picked out where to put them on the tower, drilled the holes in the tower to run the wire, and installed water proof connectors on the downfires. Still have to wire everything and build the amp rack. Pictures and progress will be added as I go.
