Welcome to the crew. There has been a few posted on FB that are selling. One thing I can say, our Avy is very finicky about the wakeboard wake. 22mph or faster and very even on weight. Surf Wave is awesome all the time. If you want to wakeboard also. might look at a 08-09 + Falcon V and enzo 211. both had a flatter bottom hull and will be easier to get a good wakeboard wake. More work to get a good surf wave.

#1 If you have the factory ballast system you have an Aerator pump to empty the center tank. it will be on the aft side of the center tank. On my Avy, flip up the rear center seat and straight down I can see the pump. On a Typhoon it will most likely be forward of that seat. Easy cheap replacement. Get a new cartridge that matches and swap it out. #2 Check electrical connections at the switch on the v-drive. With it being an 07, I would bet it is a walter, people have had connection corrosion issues. Pictures?

Good job. Sometimes the pressure switch on the v-drive becomes corroded also. Clean the connection while you are at it.

just buy a new switch, and replace one wire at a time. Remove a wire off the old switch and put in on the new switch in the same location. Easy. To remove the old switch, break the key off to unscrew the ring that holds the switch to the panel.

Welcome! tons of threads on here on how to mod the 230 it will throw a beautiful listed wave. Some use the suck gates. If you need/want to swap sides a lot then look into infinity surf tabs. For me, I'd just upgrade the ballast, (add an a-plate if you want a good goofy wave), list it and surf it.

Would changing the angle of the engine have any issue with oil in the engine? If you drop the Front of the engine (rear of the boat) and raise the rear of the engine to accommodate the different strut angle will that along with having the rear of the boat down so much surfing have a negative effect on the way the oil is in the pan? Just thinking out loud.

Is your a-plate cut around the FAE?

How has the boat felt to this point with the 911? Ive been very happy with the prop Acme and Nettles Props suggested for my 08 Avy. Their suggestions are usually very good.

Yes. I took off the close out panel under the helm by the drivers foot and under the observer seat storage area. Gets you a full view of both sides of the cooler. I put foam around it. I think a sticky back type radiant barrier would work better.

I just replaced with Normal bolts and washes. Think I went with a washer that was over sized (more flat area)? Been a long time. I did not do anything to the transom but bolt up the new bracket.

Was it a salt water boat or fresh water? Check fluid levels, colors, smells. Ease of steering (stiff, might need a new steering cable) Perfect pass/ Cruise control operation. Throttle operation. Surf wave. And test it, just because a wave looks nice, does not mean it surfs good. An Enzo 244, can and will throw down an awesome wave, this will just tell you how many mods are in your future, if it doesn't throw an awesome wave on your test. Have you owned an inboard boat before? If not, have the dealer show you the docking and trailering tricks and you practice. Beautiful boat! Hope all works out!

S2S boats are awesome but optioned out to the max usually. All your must haves are must haves for me also if I would buy new. I personally like the Maximus tower over the Dropzone also on looks but the dropzone with the life jacket holders are nice. The wireless charging, Lights and PA are something the dealer (or you) can install easily and I don't think they are factory options. could be wrong. I would like the table option, because we eat lunch on the boat and it would be nice. Welcome to the crew and I hope the dealer takes care of you and you are in a new Ri soon.

C4 is wrap around seating, no sundeck walk through. Lightning is the model Storm is the level of options. Had storm 1, 2 and 3 I think.

Were they the same?

The guys with the newer boats seem to hang out on the FB group more. I think Centurion used the same amps for both systems, just depends on the amount. I think downfire has another amp over the spark. Again I think, I can't confirm. Welcome to the crew!

I have an 08 Avy bought new. Love it. The listed wave is awesome, just have to do a custom ballast system. Unlike Midlifecrisis, I love the cooler. Easy to access and you don't have to make anyone move to get to it. I insulated mine and it holds ice all day just fine. Only issue I had was the hour meter quit at 5 hours (replaced under warranty) and the exhaust manifold gaskets, about an hour job to replace. Other wise it has been an awesome boat. I will say the vinyl is thin and you have to be careful with it but mine is still holding up. Share some pictures or a link and we will try and help you out. Things to look for and options it has.
