  1. FX22 Setup Help

Nice on the FS33! I will send pics of my wake once I get the bags and lead.
  2. FX22 Setup Help

Dark - I took a look at your install pics and also the video of your wake. Both are pretty incredible. I have to confess that I am very far on the 'not-so-handy' side, so the thought of doing the full install and drilling holes in the hull is going to be way beyond me! I will be going the bag and tsunami pump route for now, plus some lead. One question I did have is on the weight bearing capacity of the shelf/ledge of the rear lockers where the PNP bags would sit on. I'm guessing that since you and others have done this, there is no concern, but I wasn't sure if the ledges were specifically designed for that purpose or use. Is this what the factory PRO install would have been anyway? Is the ledge really the outer layer of the Ramfill tank, or is it a molded part of the hull, or something else? (Sorry for all the rookie questions. I have now had the boat in my possession for a total of less than 10 days and have only taken a quick peek at that cavity . . .) Thanks for the estimate on the Ramfill size. I had tried to get that out of Centurion, but never got a good figure from them. How did you figure out the bow weight? Was there a size on the bag, or did you estimate that as well? I am on Lake Sammamish, which is about due east from Seattle. It is a public lake, and probably different than the Sammish one you referenced. What boat are you thinking of next? Must be a pretty nice one if it is replacing your FX22!
  3. FX22 Setup Help

Thank you everyone for the input. This sounds great. Looks like I need to buy some bags! I will try it out in June and will let everyone know how it goes. A few more questions . . . When you installed the bags, did you guys go to the trouble of automating them and connecting it to a switch in the dash or even into the touchvision setup, or did you just go with the straightforward and cheaper manual pump and hose setup. Any preference on brands would be helpful. Lastly, did anyone else find themselves getting water over the bow occasionally when turning back into the waves to pick up a rider. I am still learning to master this :-) My one wish for the boat is that they made it a little taller more like the FS33 and FS44. . . Dark - I am in Washington, and surf on Lake Sammamish. I'll send pics in June.
  4. I am now the proud owner (and first time poster to this forum) of a 2014 FX22. I would appreciate any recommendations on ballast, trim and cats settings. In terms of ballast, I have the Ramfill and a bow bag. Unfortunately, since I bought the boat used, and the seller wasn't 100% sure on the size of the Ramfill, I don't know the ballast capacity. If someone with a similar boat could enlighten me on this, I would also greatly appreciate it. Most of my riders are regular, but will take any goofy foot setting advice as well. Thanks for your help!
