  1. We are looking at getting him the Slash 4x4 soon after lake season is over. Thankfully it takes the same batteries as the boat! It is a crazy amount of fun and the run time on these batteries is great. I knew we would like it but I'm actually surprised how much. It will take a beating.
  2. We bought my son the Traxxas Spartan and yesterday we jumped the wake of our SV230 for the first time. It's amazing how well these things do in the water! Next time we'll have to weight the boat down and see how it does.
  3. I was having a really hard time finding any information online about the Monster Cargo Bimini so I thought I would post a couple of pictures here for you guys after the install was complete. The medium fit perfectly and the install was straight forward. Even with the 8" Wetsound tower speakers, I am able to stand under the top at 6'2" thanks to the concave design. [ The Gator Step was the same. Straight forward and easy install. It really upgraded the look of the interior too. Now I just need to figure out a replacement for the teak swim deck.
  4. Had the carpet before and this is so much nicer and easier to clean. We did have to get permission from Centurion to use the logo but that was just an easy phone call. We got it through Gator Step direct.
  5. This month, I ran into an Enzo that I just couldn't say no to. It is an '05 with under 140 hours on it with the Storm III package on it from what the owner was saying. JL Audio tower speakers and sub...Sony throughout the rest (which I will be replacing)...and it looks like no one has ever sat in it. The sideswipe exhaust is an awesome feature as I love the sound of the motor running. It reminds me of my car. We are not new to the water at all. My wife grew up on Lake Lanier in GA and I grew up racing personal watercraft. We are really excited about the new purchase and it handles incredibly well on the lake for a wakeboarding/wake surf boat. I do have a couple of questions. 1. There is a silver knob on the gauge panel. What exactly is that controlling when you turn it? 2. I see the two rocker switches for the rear ballasts. In some of the forum posts, I see mention of a center ballast. Is that not on this boat? 3. The bimini top (not pictured) is great but it is below the rack. That is fine for my 5'3" wife but I can't stand under it. Are there any over the rack options that are good? 4. Will the newer SV230 fiberglass platforms w/pad fit this boat? The teak looks nice but I would rather have the other setup. 5. Any recommendations on weighting for surfing?
  6. So I have a new to us '05 Enzo SV230 that looks brand new that I am looking to replace the factory hard ballasts in. Wakemakers makes the kits that bolt directly in the boat and allow me to use the factory pumps/switches/connections. I was thinking about going with the following setup. 1,450 lbs High Fly Enzo sac in the regular foot side. 800 lbs WM sac on the goofy side. The goal would be to keep at least one of the storage compartments with sacs full. I know the Enzo one full is going to render one of those for just weight out on the water. What do you guys think of that setup? I want a really nice wake for me and my wife for surfing that are both regular footed with the ability to make the wake larger for goofy foot riders or for wakeboarding. To make goofy foot riders happy, I am really going to have to get an asymmetrical plate as well but I want to make sure the needs of my family are taken care of first before we worry about guests.
  7. 2005 Enzo SV230 with the 1,450 pound Enzo bag.
  8. I got the 1,450 pound Enzo bag installed and the first ride out went great.

It's the babysitter. Keeps a 3 year old busy for hours. Unfortunately, those racks don't fit the surfboards. The new one should be here on Friday!
  10. Thanks for the advice guys. Got one Enzo bag in. Here it is not all the way full...just checking for leaks. Other than it being crazy hot outside today, the install was easy.

Put some weight in the boat today. She is ready for the weekend for sure!
  12. Do you have any higher resolution shots I can see? That looks like it might be perfect. Yours looks great but I need it to fold up easily for storage. We get away with only having to use a 23' slip at our dry dock facility because I take the tower down every time. If I have to leave it up...we have to pay for a 26' for the height.

^ That is awesome. I need to do that with my son once we get the wake dialed in.

Awesome night out last night. Up and getting ready to do it all again today.
  15. I am going to have to pick up some of these. That looks like the perfect option to weight the front of my boat where I don't want to have bags.
  16. I do too other than I cant stand under it at 6'1"
  17. I am. The boat is dry docked at Habersham on Lanier. I'll second the gauges. I was driving my friend's brand new 23LSV Malibu and the boat would go to idle randomly during the run if you used any of the presets. It is really cool but too much computer reliance for me. This boat just came with one hard tank on either side. I just ordered an Enzo 1,450 pound bag for the regular foot side today. I'd really like one above so I can mount some swivel speakers that point down while cruising. I just left the lake getting the boat ready for tonight. Should be perfect out.
  18. Got the supporting member thing taken care of.
  19. Yeah I get that part but that is where we keep the extra jackets and everything that would be a pain to move around. I'd like to put some weight where the factory tank was for wakeboarding and not really worry about the goofy side for now. I could always add a bag there later if I really ended up using that side a lot.
  20. I really don't want to lose the storage of both lockers in the back when out on the water. My wife and I are both regular foot setups so it would really just be for passengers on the goofy side. The biggest Ezno bag is 1,450 pounds from what I can find on the PNP setup. I do have sideswipe.
  21. Amp for tower speakers

Have any of you guys ever used regular car audio amps? I have some high end Hertz amps I really want to put in to power everything in mine. As long as they don't get wet, I would think they should be fine.
  22. My son is addicted to everything that goes fast too!
  23. Thanks for the recommendations on the sacs. They don't look like they are too expensive either. I'll probably do that over the winter. The boat is still much quieter than my daily driver. My wife literally said "it's almost like your car" the first time I cranked it up.
  24. Thanks! That would make sense. I'll have to test it based off the GPS speed from the Perfect Pass tomorrow. Looks awesome. That definitely updated the look of the boat. Knowing that you can stand under it helps a lot as well. I'm 6'2".
