  1. Sewlong with board pockets. U won’t regret it.
  2. Mirror for FX22

Factory windshield mounted mirror. Had to take it apart to tighten it this year but otherwise, no complaints.
  3. Anyone have experience with the Sewlong Folding Canopy Top/bimini? I need a bimini for my '13 FX22 and like the simplicity of the design but they are a bit of an investment. $1550-1900 depending on options. The OEM top runs about the same price if I don't add surfboard pockets to the sewlong. That said, i like the idea of storing surfboards on the bimini. Any other suggestions? http://sewlong.com/page/centurion
  4. Fi rumors

I like it. Looks FX ish. Hoping the price is in that range as well.
  5. Try greatlakesskipper.com They carry a lot of discontinued oem accessories.
  6. I have a '13 FX22 with the standard stainless steel symmetrical wing plate. Has anyone cut off the starboard side wing to make an a plate? Any issues?
  7. I've used your setup recommendations most of last season. Thanks! Regular listed wave and suck gate is great. Goofy is still washy even with diy suck gate. Not as bad as listed goofy but not as clean as regular. Now, I don't have CATS either so maybe that's the difference.
  8. What is your goofy ballast setup?
  9. Thanks dejoco. I've had it for two seasons now and just can't get a consistantly clean goofy wave dialed in. Regular wave is golden. Did you have to reseal the bolt holes when re-installing the plate?
  10. FX22 vs Nautique

I love my fx22. I came from a 19' I/O so I actually upgraded in storage space. Some things to consider. 1) the space under the observer seat is huge. 2) the built in cooler free's up floor space. 3) all ballast hidden and no need for extra bags, frees up floor and seating space. I usually ride with 7 in the boat and never feel cramped. Usually nothing but towels and sunscreen on the seats. Freeboard is low as you said but I haven't had issues with spray except for windy days (15-20mph). But on those days I thank God for the deep V.
  11. X3 The Inland Surfer Red Rocket works for me and a couple of friends that are all between 240-280. We all started to go wireless once we figured out that our foot placement was important as well as the board. Still rookies but having fun learning. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. The Harbor Freight handle works great on my FX22. It held all day and was fine up to 18mph. Didn't go beyond that. This pic is with the wakeplate @20%. At zero, its taller but not as much length. Speed 10.7mph. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I would go with 7" for the vertical dimension and start with 11-12" for the horizontal. It'll be easy enough to cut the length down without even disassembling the gate. Or...you could temporarily attach the bigger plate to the face of the 7x9 with industrial velcro. Worked for me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  15. Tried the 7x9 plate last weekend. Had a lot of push and had to increase our normal speed. Two people went rope less for the first time. Tried a 7x12 plate and the wake looks better still. Pic attached with just me in the boat. Still tweaking all the variables and having fun with it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Are you guys mounting the gate with the plate perpendicular to your rubrail or tilting it toward the bow to cut down on spray?
  17. Sorry guys, those photo's were right-side up when I uploaded them. Those waves do look horrible sideways...
  18. I see what you mean about the double lip. As far as the wave size is concerned, that's about the same height that I'm getting listed. Waste high with no one but a driver in the boat. This is the only listed pick I have on my phone. Five people on board.
  19. Here's a pick with wingplate at 0%.
  20. You guys made me curious. I had some scrap walnut and some jig hardware laying around. A quick trip to HF and 45 mins of design, sawing and assembly. Out of pocket cost was under $8 Pics are with only me in the boat, so not a great angle. 2013 FX22 with all ballast full. Approx 4k lbs. What I really like is that I can use the Wingplate to adjust the height and length of the wave. It stays clean from 0% to 100%. This PIC is with wingplate at 80% down. This is about as long and short as it gets. Will try it with surfers this weekend.
  21. This black flex hose is in the portside console and keeps filling with water. I initially thought it was a heater hose but when I lift the hose to drain it, it seems to drain into the bilge. Definetly not draining out of a heater vent. Could this be connected to the air inlet at the bow of my '13 fx22? The left side of the hose seems to go into the bow gunnel. The right side goes straight down into the floor. I've drained it a couple of times now and it keeps filling up after a day on the water.
  22. I thought about poking a hole in it but it's a bit too close to my amps and batteries. Plus, I'd like to keep my one non-ballasted storage area dry. Hopefully the zip ties will work.
  23. Pretty sure it runs to the port side bow air inlet/scoop. I haven't taken any rollers over the bow but I do get very close so there was likely water splashing into the duct. I'll strap it up high and see how it goes. Thanks for the help!
  24. FX22 Setup Help

Dark, did you have the pro (under seat) bags as well? I have a '13 fx22 with bow (825), qf(500ea), pro(525ea), and pnp(700ea) and now think I'm under weighting the boat. I've been running bow at 40% and opposite qf at 40%. Zero pnp and pro on opposite side. Surf side qf, pro and pnp full.
