  1. I had a similar problem this year. The fuse wasn't any of the resettable breakers in my fuse panel. After a fair amount of searching and reading the install manual, I eventually found an in-line fuse under the dash. It was blown. Replaced it and was good to go.
  2. Fat Sacs 2008 Falcon Air Warrior

Wow, glad to hear there are still some Falcon V owners out there. Welcome to the site. I thought everyone but me had moved onto bigger and better things. Here is an old thread and link to blog post I wrote up about the custom ballast install I did. It might give you some ideas. http://www.centurioncrew.com/index.php/topic/4222-custom-falcon-v-ballast-install-complete/
  3. What tips do you all have for protecting fiberglass surfboards such as Shred Stixx or Soul Craft while boating? Especially at higher speeds when it is the wakeboarders or slalom skiers turn. I'm considering a new board but I'm concerned it may be difficult to find a safe place in the boat when we have a larger crew or kids on the boat. I just realized I should have posted this in the watersports gear section. CrewAdmin please move the topic if needed. Thanks
  4. Loose bow grab handle

Hilarious! Where is Dura at anyway? Have we lost our USM boss?
  5. Loose bow grab handle

You're right. I looked behind there last night and it is held by bolts. Man, they must have put those bolts on before they put the top and bottom half of the hull together at the factory. I took out the kick panel under the driver console and managed to reach the nut using my freakishly long arms and a long breaker bar with a socket attached. However, there wasn't enough room between the side of the hull and the back of the seat to turn the nut. Looks like I'd need a long air ratchet to turn that nut (which I don't have). I'm going to call the dealer today and see if their service department has any suggestions. I wish they weren't 1.5 hours away.
  6. Loose bow grab handle

Dang, I cant get to mine from any of the seats in the bow. It is the front bolt on the starboard side (in front of the driver). I guess your Avy has more room in the bow than my Falcon V. The only way I can think of to get to the bolt is to remove the back of the seat but I'm not sure how that pops off. Anyone taken their seat back off before? If I pry it off will it snap back on?
  7. The starboard side bow handle has come loose on my Falcon V. Does anyone know how to get under there to tighten it without needing an Ant-Man suit?
  8. Utah Surf Mafia get together

What ramp are we meeting at? I got convinced to go to pineview for some wake boarding yesterday and was reminded again why I don't like that place. But it should be ok for us on a Tuesday when the crazies aren't out. I got a little shock when I saw how much it now costs to launch. I'm used to just showing my parks pass at other lakes and going right in. It might be a good idea to carpool there if possible to avoid having to pay 13 bucks per vehicle.

I'm in! And possibly one other non member.
  10. Putting a larger fin on a Phase 5 board ?

Depends on your board but this might work. I don't have any experience with the larger fin but might try it out. I think some other sites carry this as well but about the same price if i remember right. http://shop.phase5boards.com/products/2-inch-fin
  11. Just ordered - 2014 230+!

Wow, that will be a big step up from the 08 you were looking at. I bet you've never been so happy to see a sale fall through. Congrats on the new boat. That is going to be awesome. Can't wait to hear what you think of the new features.
  12. Scary Moment

Very scary! I'm so glad your wife was being aware and people were able to get to the child before it got any worse. I'm guessing that experience will be a lesson learned to the parents of the child. Can't be too cautious with kids and water. As for your wife not being able to swim. I'll echo what others have already said...and I will admit that I have always been unable to swim (despite owning a boat for 13 years). I've never worried too much about it because I always have a lifevest on in the water....but I don't wear it while in the boat. With that being said, I finally came to my senses this year and realized that not being able to swim is making me a huge liablity when I go on other people's boats and that if something were to happen out on the water (boat accident, etc) I could not rely solely on other adults to rescue my young children (even though they always have their vests on). I swallowed my pride and signed up for an adult swim class at the local pool and it has been great. I still feel that I need some more practice but I'm glad that I now am gaining enough ability/confidence to survive in the water if something were to happen out on the lake and I did not have a vest on. Convince your wife to take lessons or teach her yourself. She'll be glad she did and it will make days out in the water even that much more enjoyable.
  13. Icehawk, try to get them to throw in a beginner board and a rope as part of the purchase. Small cost to the dealer considering how much you're spending on the boat. My dealer was willing to do that for me when I bought my Centurion. Congrat's on the upcoming purchase! You'll love that boat and all the good times that come along with it!
  14. How Do You Store/Coil Your Anchor Rope?

I use one of these and it has worked out great so far. I can throw the anchor overboard and then let the rope reel itself out. http://www.homedepot.com/p/Bayco-150-ft-16-3-Cord-Storage-Reel-CE-130PDQ/100012112
  15. my .02 cents....don't have them put the optional hard tanks in the rear lockers. Leave those out and find a used sac and pump to get you by while you learn. Or just have the dealer plumb in new sacs instead of the hard tanks and call it good. You won't be satisfied with those small rear tanks that always take up locker space. Sac it and surf it! As for the freeboard, I'm not sure if the 2013 has changed since the boats 5 years ago....but the Elite V had much less freeboard than other centurion models and some other brands. Some people are ok with that others aren't.
