  1. I have a 2010. I have not had time to order the sac, but my leg clearance is measured at 13". I was thinking of doing 12.5 to be safe, but I don't see the sac busting anything down there. The reason for 60" length (and not longer as some have done), is I want to give several inches between the end of the sac and the battery compartment. My main concern is in the rear locker. It starts out narrower and shorter at the base, then gets increasingly longer an wider as you move to the mid-point as the space contours with the hull of the boat. I want to fill that area as completely as possible without damaging anything. Once I order and install, I'll update all on how it has worked.
  2. Thanks Volzalum, I have gone back-and-forth a bit about what should be the best course. Oh, gotcha on the dividers. I have thought about adding some aluminum to them as well. Should be an easy add
  3. All, after measuring, my design will be very similar to the sac design shared by Wes, with two tweaks to the leg: Leg length has been shortened to 60" to accomodate some space between the end of the bag and the battery compartment; Leg height has been increased to 12.75" (i measured 13" of depth there, but I gave .25" clearance.) This still gives me a theoretical maximum weight of 1982 lbs, though actual weight will likely be in the 1550-1700 lb range. My only real concern was about the width of the sac. The sac is designed at 26" wide, but this is an average of widths. The width of the locker measured from the floor (divider to hull) is only about 23". The width of the locker at its widest point (about 10" from the top of the locker) is almost 29". Hence, I chose an average, hoping that this would not bust out my divider and damage the boat. Should I be worried? If I can reinforce that divider, I will, but I am hesitant to drill anything into the floor of the boat.

  5. Besides the wave physics, the shape and volume (float) of the board you ride is important. I am no wake surf expert, but a flat board (no rocker) with enough volume for the weight of the rider helps make it easier to stay in the pocket (and the rideable pocket longer).
  6. Thanks, Acman. I will google them. I think that is the most critical area for ballast, right at the end of the locker.
  7. Jlreevesiv, Does your current Enzo Sac cover (i.e. go over) the exhaust actuators? Or does it abut against the actuator if you push the bag far forward (i.e. is next to, but does not cover and rest upon the exhaust tube). Flyfish
  8. Thanks Ben. I thought about doing just that, and putting stackable lead weights behind around it.
  9. I get it now. Thank you much for the explanation.
  10. I have a 2010 240 with the PCM 409 with sideswipe, so I think they were still around. Still trying to figure out how to design a monster ballast in the rear port locker with the sideswipe cover in the way and hogging room
  11. I looked for a long while, had a decent boat previously. My wife wanted to stay around the 35 range, but my (admittedly inexperienced) opinion is that an Enzo is the way to go, even if that means an extra 5-10 k.
  12. Pics of the rear locker with Sideswipe exhaust (with and without cover) As you can see, the cover is a bit bulky and greatly reduces available locker space. Workarounds?
  13. For a newbie, what is the advantage to using check valves (as opposed to what?).
  14. Thanks for the info Wakedoc. How did you accommodate sideswipe exhaust (if applicable)? Also, regarding the crew: my brother and I are orange county, CA transplants and have a lot of traditional surfing experience. I have maybe 80 hrs or so of wake experience. Others in our putative crew have little experience. As a principle, I want to create the wake with the most energy (push) possible, and then accommodate surfing technique/level with board selection. Re: goofy side, yes I was referring to the factory tanks. Since we don't plan on surfing that side much, I was thinking I may not want to add a custom sac on that side. Flyfish
  15. Just a pic of the boat as I drove her home. Props to first owner who kept her immaculate in/out. Yes, I also went to the DQ -- which is perhaps why I am interested in the max wave.
