Considering purchasing the ballast upgrades from NW Boat Sports for our 2016 226. Thoughts? Is it a game changer? We would like to have everything concealed in the back compartments and seats.

Replacing our 550's with 1100's. I believe the rear lockers will be 800 plus an under seat that will be 300 on each side? Main reason is we lack push with the stock bags…especially on the goofy side.

That seems like a ton of weight but im sure the wave is amazing. Any suggestions when using the surf tabs or is it a waste of time?

Welcome and Congrats. We just picked up a 2016 this year. We love the way the boat handles the big chop...it's like hot knife slicing through butter. Anyways, I dont have a ton of info on setup, as were still getting to know the boat. You'll get a ton of suggestions so I'll keep an eye on your post.

I thought I've seen this question before but could not find the conversation. My rear PNP bags are losing water while surfing. Completely full at the start of session and about half full when done. Any ideas why this is happening? We have 550's in each locker and have had no problems until this last weekend. I doubled checked to make sure that the rocker switches are not on empty.

Doe anyone have experience installing a Bimini top on a s226? Are the front poles supposed to slide into the tower?

They shipped the wrong support poles.

Thanks everybody. Dealer confirmed they slide in. He said you might have to sand down the pole slightly to get it to fit.

Looking for a good site to order some life jackets and surf ropes. Also, what ropes do you recommend?

Maybe I'm slightly paranoid about protecting our new toy, but I was wondering if anyone uses an alarm system. We store our boat next to our garage. Looking to protect the audio and speaker system plus anything we may store inside.

All I need to do is sign the dotted line. Looking for feedback on the S226. Pros and cons and anything we can do to make our expierence better. Goal is to surf better. Finally leaving our I/O!!
