Take it to a reputable mechanic and have it looked over well. This will either 1)let you know you are getting a solid boat 2)let you know it's a decent boat and what you need to do maintenance/repairs wise 3) help your buddy know what to fix to sell it to someone else 4) save you from a summer of hell. It's nothing personal, but protect yourself. Even if it needs repairs you may want something to buy cheap and work on and that's fine, but it burns nice and deep when that's not your prerogative.

Wakeboard will be more like the nautique than Malibu. Both in wake style and in speed of boat type characteristics. When really slammed you'll need some mph for it to get right. But with the deeper v should have more size to begin with/unloaded. I think with factory ballast amounts full it should make a good wake.

Hey guys, considering expanding a family business. If you want to help id love people to take this short survey judging general market feel. Any additional comments would be cool also. If this is against rules sorry, please delete. Promise I'm not trying to promote at all! https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/YZ782N8

In farming now you really need a niche product if you want to be successful because factory farms can just pump out product so cheaply. As of now we sell a small herd such as this direct to vets across the state and only in bulk. I'm considering taking it and expanding it some to include general public. Unfortunately most general people don't have like 3 grand to drop and freezer space for a whole animal, even though we drop it to 4 dollars a pound (ground, filet, ribeye, all of it) Unfortunately freezer space to allow for people to pick and choose cuts is a massive undertaking and I'm not taking a loan out on a farm. So trying to really know what I'm looking at before wading in.

Found a short Malibu m235 wave video. Water is brown and video is pixelated so hard to really see anything. Anyway, here's the video. Hopefully this works, always kind of up in the air linking to a Facebook video.. https://www.facebook.com/lisa.fountain.5/videos/1313291942031858/

Best place to list your boat for sale
Stretch replied to Ryan.schuster.rs's topic in Centurion Boats General Discussion
Onlyinboards would be my first stop. Look at the rest of the field of comparable boats for pricing and be realistic. Throw it up on Craigslist too while you're at it if you are in an area with a strong boat market. Also if you have a good high volume dealer near you they can probably help you out. -
Meh, when it gets iffy stay in it

Which surf system?
Stretch replied to Webowl's topic in Centurion Boat Accessories, Electronics and Modifications
From someone who had an elite v from the generation before dura and darks I would suggest a home built surf system. The air pockets make that hull act a lot different than the later elites. Someone recently on here mentioned building one for their early elite v. A little time searching should bring it up. It was chenige I believe. Wakesurfing in a 2000 Elite http://www.centurioncrew.com/index.php?/topic/10790-Wakesurfing-in-a-2000-Elite You can get a surfable wave without one. I did it. But you've got to lean it really hard for it to clean up pretty. If you want it to look pretty that new ronix triangle is essentially the same thing as this homemade thing, just looks a little prettier I guess. It's a wedge with Velcro, pretty simple. I see audio posted right after me. If you are down to list to that extreme that is probably the best elite v wave you can get, but it's some serious weight. -

If your boat is a v drive it will fit more than a 400 bag. Go as high as you can without the seat moving. I got a 540in my lockers bag on top of the stock 200 tank hat came with the boat. I also got a lot of a 900 bag in there once with stock hard tank removed Fill it up. -

Financing Advice-Comparable credit issue
Stretch replied to ryno726's topic in Centurion Boats General Discussion
I don't think it's an incredibly hard stretch to come up with life/employment scenarios in which getting a home *loan* is not necessary/useful/convenient etc yet you are still in a fine position to own a boat. Financially a great idea possibly not... But I doubt a financial advisor would ever think it's a good idea to pay 70+ for a boat. But then we are just playing speculate op's life. Coming from someone about to by a home before their next boat(so I'm not saying this is bad advise, it's great advise as is consistent here).. But has a relative making way more than me that moves too much to buy a home but could pull that boat around no problem As said though you may need to look used, there is some nice new old stock deals out there. (Or saving longer) What are you trying to get? -
Financing Advice-Comparable credit issue
Stretch replied to ryno726's topic in Centurion Boats General Discussion
It may differ with boat loans but I know it's pretty common to have a grace period for loan shopping for home and auto loans, it's understood you may apply multiple times/places. Within a certain period of time. Do you have a personal credit union? Seems to often help if you are a member at an institution/bank with them often and even more so if you can actually sit down and speak with someone in person. It may not be the lowest interest rate, but may be more likely to get the opportunity at all. This goes back into credit. When speaking with my credit union on a past loan they informed me they don't even look at score, only report. So a "ding" from a hard pull didn't matter to them at all because they never saw the quantitate change and they could see it was 2 weeks ago and realize it was for this same situation. Might not be useful to your application but especially credit unions and local banks you can atleast ask about your situation and/or prequalify without worrying about it negatively affecting you -

It's worth it. Both will look amazing. I agree on the sticker, might would lean to #2 without the sticker but leaning to #1 as it is. This is what I did on my own back a while ago. Pretty close.
