  1. Not sure if this already got shared but these look pretty handy for someone that doesn't have the time to build their own. Doesn't look like they have a Centurion specific line yet though. Sorry if this has already been shared, I did a search and didn't see anything. Pretty price though, especially if you bought one for each side. http://www.missionboatgear.com/
  2. Yeah we get a great wave. These would be interesting to try is all, maybe more so for the dark side wave which we don't get quite as clean when we have a small crew. I wouldn't want to take them on and off and store them. Just thought I'd share what I came across.
  3. I thought the same thing.
  4. Okay great, thanks for the suggestion.
  5. Our home reservoir is at 5,400 and we have a 2011 Enzo 240 with the 409. I recently just posted (http://www.centurioncrew.com/index.php/topic/10298-boat-would-not-plane-with-full-crew/?hl=plane) because we had a little trouble getting on plane at 5,800ft but we had 15 people in the boat and as it turns out we have the wrong prop altogether. We recently just wakeboardeded with both quickfills and the center ballast full and 4 adults 4 kids and the boat came right out of the water. Point is I think with the right prop our 409 would do almost anything we asked of it and don't forget you can run 85 octane in the 409. Hope this helps, I think we all know how frustrating it can be to make that kind of investment and not get the expected results. BTW our boat does not have catalytic converters, I'm not sure how much HP that shaves off the new power plants.
  6. We were in Wyoming over the 4th and found ourselves with 14 people on the boat which was a ton of fun. 2 of them were my kids less than 50# each. The surf setup was tricky for sure, we had to dump a lot of ballast for the boat to be able to get up to speed which kind of surprised me but the wave was still really great once we did lighten up the ballast. Then it was time to head in and we dumped all the ballast and the boat would not get over 15 MPH +/- and it wouldn't plane. I imagine there was still some water in the bags as they never really get empty. I tried the trim tab at all different levels. It has the 1591 propeller and the PCM 400 hp 6 liter and the altitude was 4,718. Is this normal? I was surprised thinking to myself, so you can't wakeboard with a full crew (actually 2 short of a full crew). Is this a high alt. prop? Would the center ballast help? That seemed counter intuitive to add weight but it is pretty far forward in the boat.
  7. Hey Babylon, no I didn't see a message and I'm not sure about the address you left. Missing an @ maybe? Thanks.
  8. I might be interested I just want to make a good choice on a prop and haven't really had time to read/research what would work best. I'm sure as with anything they all have there pro's and con's. Since you had the same boat this sounds like a good option. Based on everyone feedback I definitely need more low end. The boat has plenty of top end which we really don't need. I'm not trying to get anywhere in a hurry . "I'm actually surprised that your boat works with a prop that big and that steep at your altitude" -- You know I've thought since we've owned it that it really struggles at times and I've been surprised considering it's 400hp and without catalytic converters it should have plenty of power. The boat came out of Montana and I assumed it had a high alt. prop but hadn't had the time to look into it. Now it's starting to make more sense. Let me know what you're looking to get for that $. Thanks for the heads up.
  9. Glendo, water was great. Lot's of people of course but still better than our local reservoir in Colorado.
  10. Thanks guys. It would be nice to have a backup prop so maybe I'll go with a new prop as the primary.
  11. Great writeup Dreamer. So I just posted about what I think is a lack of power, we had trouble getting up to speed surfing with a big crew and getting on plane for cruising with a big crew. http://www.centurioncrew.com/index.php/topic/10298-boat-would-not-plane-with-full-crew/#entry134883 I have the 1941 Prop. What prop would you go to for more holeshot from the 1941? Thanks,
  12. I posted about this last summer and got some helpful feedback but the issue is still happening and seems to be worse. Problem: When using the cruise with the provision the volume on the MB Quart stereo goes up and down with speed changes. It will go form 15 to 0, very inconsistently though. Not at all like a speed sensitive volume and more like a fried system. Sometimes the volume goes to 100 (that's fun). When not using the cruise all of this seems to stop happening and the radio functions normally. Things I've done: I've pulled the battery from the hand held remote, checked for loose wires, messed with the menu on the Pro-Vision and radio (over and over) looking for some sort of setting that could be related, and that's about it. Other factors: Some water during a rain storm did go into the glove box, it didn't soak the head unit but it was wet. A couple days later with the boat on the trailer the Head unit was flashing on and off even though the radio switch was off. This is obviously a bad sign the circuitry could be a little fried from water intrusion but what does that have to do with the cruise coming from the Pro-Vision. Help I need: Any experience with this? Is there a firmware update for the Pro-Vision? What happens if I call Centurion for help, do that do that kind of thing? Do I start with a new head unit and which one is compatible with the Pro-Vision? Should the head unit be removed and inspected? Thanks guys!
  13. Yeah, I agree. In doing some research the MB Quart doesn't seem to have a very good reputation. Aside from the problems I don't care for the operation much at all. Does anyone know a compatible replacement that will connect to the Pro-Vision. Is that tethering somewhat universal???? I'm not finding any documentation online about replacement head units for Pro-Vision II. Thanks,
  14. Chadr this looks awesome. Get's me motivated to possibly switch mine out. Are you putting check valves on the aerators to have a sealed system for emptying? I ask because I cross vented my enzo sacs to prevent bleed down but now they bleed off from the aerators when the sack is super full. I wondered if the check valves (even though they allow flow out) created a small resistance to help prevent that or slow it down. Tks.
  15. This was happening to me and one of the sprinkler valves was manually open. You know how you can give the solenoid a half turn counter clockwise and it opens the valve.
  16. I've been really happy with the products from Wakemakers. I think the time you save by having parts that work is worth the extra money over the hardware store mashup. I was going to get some ballast hose at the hardware store, it was the clear vinyl stuff and it was about $5 a foot and not nearly the quality of the $2 per foot stuff from wakemakers.
  17. Hey lleebo, not sure if you saw my reply because it didn't quote inline quite right. Have you used those valves successfully or did you go in a different direction? Thanks,
  18. Hey Chadr, so did you get the new ball valves in? Wondering how that worked out. Finally got out yesterday about a month later than planned, it's been super rainy and cold in Colorado this spring. The sprinkler valves were painfully slow but the X link worked pretty incredibly so I feel like I'm close to happy with my setup for now. I imagine the valve install is pretty time consuming.
  19. Great thanks for the heads up. I'm kinda curious to see how it goes for chadr. Did you just go in a different direction or have you used these for water mngt?
  20. We've only had this boat a little while so I'm not sure if there has ever been any maintenance to the trailer. It's an 2011ish model, at least our boat is. The surge brakes have a very noticeable clunk on acceleration. I know that our old boat with drum brakes did this especially as the brakes wore and took more and more travel to engage, hence the bigger clunk. Our new trailer has disks which in theory the calipers adjust with the wearing of the pads. The disks have 80% left I would say. Anyway, I'm wondering how much clunk is acceptable? At every stop light I let the truck inch forward while waiting for the light to change. This just get's kinda annoying or if you're in stop and go traffic. I checked the reservoir and it may have been slightly low. Low enough to get air in the system? I wouldn't think so. What further, I can depress the coupler by hand if I really lean into it. This is normal I think from our old boat anyway. What's interesting is that it doesn't return on it's own. I thought the spring would push it back out but I'm not sure. I tried referencing this: http://www.boatmateparts.com/manuals/manual_10_20121217075603.pdf bleeding document but couldn't find any specs on how they system should behave normally. I don't want to go to the trouble of bleeding the brakes if it's not needed or won't help. Any experience or thoughts are appreciated.
  21. Thanks for the suggestions guys. I think I will bleed the brakes when I get a few minutes. For those asking about bleeding here is what I've referenced for my specific trailer: http://www.boatmateparts.com/faqs.php Also if you've got a vehicle that needs regular brake bleeding like a trailer perhaps? These are handy. When you crack them open they will bleed by overcoming a spring in the bleeder screw, then they close as soon as the pressure is released. Essentially letting you bleed your brakes by yourself. I had them on my 65' Chevelle which had lousy brakes...I was young and broke. It was cheaper to bleed them every 6 months then rebuild them. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/rus-639540?seid=srese1&gclid=Cj0KEQjw4fCqBRDM1ZKhk5jfo6IBEiQAZQ97OOStPb8kCzTH2hw0O7yPy8lHVIu4YbEkUKiRgFS7zOMaAhP78P8HAQ
  22. Hey Chadr, I've got an 11' Enzo and it's a new boat to us so I'm pretty reluctant to tear up the factory wiring, especially because I believe the current system is powered by a sealed power module. That said the sprinkler valves are a pretty big restriction to the speed of the system. Based on all my research I had not seen a valve like you've found here and neither had others in similar threads. They were either 110V or they weren't NC, or they cost about $200 each, or they were the size of a grapefruit. Is this a new find based on your experience? In your opinion would these make a good direct replacement for the sprinkler valves? I see the chatter about the relays but I'm thinking that is because you're doing additional pumps and going multi-directional. I'd just be sticking with the with the single pump and stock wiring. I'm guessing these valves need a constant power, and a dedicated ground to charge the capacitor and then the valve is controlled by closing to ground? I'm really just looking for small time gains and more reliability over the sprinkler valves. Thanks if you have time.
  23. Yeah, it's an 11', I'm the second owner. I'm pretty sure the warranty is over. I've never experienced the locking up in reverse as I've read about here. Come to think of it though I don't know if I've ever reversed with the lights un-hooked. Based on the weight of the boat and the fact I'm towing with a Yukon it seems like the brakes work. I don't feel the breaks come on the way I could with our old boat that had the drum breaks which really had a delay but you could feel them working. Considering that it's a mechanical system I believe them to be working. It handles really well so I'm not too stressed about it, I have a feeling based on feedback I'll probably have a little air in there causing the clunk to be more pronounced and I may not be getting as much brake performance as I could. I'll probably bleed the brakes when I get a chance and see how that goes. It's been raining for three f-ing weeks here in Colorado so I'm really just watching the boat get rained on right now and trying to keep the water off the cover. Fun times.
