  1. following....have been waiting for someone to do this.
  2. what is the S211 selling for, with QS, PnP and any other must-have optons?
  3. i think the point is, 40k is way too much money for a boat that only fits 6 people and is ugly as sh..
  4. i wouldn't even want to be seen in one if someone tried to pursuade me with "no gas money required and we have plenty of beer onboard".
  5. First time surfing

this statement makes me think that your feet placement might have something to do with it as well. if you are dipping the front of the board, your front foot is too far forward. once you get up, get your toes all the way over to the edge that's on the wake, then try to find your balance on the board by moving your feet forward/back. might take some time to find the sweet spot but everyone's foot placement is different depending on weight and how they ride.
  6. First time surfing

i'm 6'4", 215lbs and ride a 54" P5 Danielo Pro Carbon without any problem. it's technically undersized for me--i should be riding the 58" but i haven't had any problem with it. did anyone else riding have a problem finding push that day? it sounds like there was enough weight but it also depends on the boat and the speed. more weight is not always better for all hulls.
  7. who wants four strips of velcro stuck to their boat?
  8. i don't know the supreme hull history--is the v232 hull the same as the v230 hull?
  9. i see v232 wake pics but no v230's?
  10. subscribing to this one so i can see the announcement!
  11. Thoughts on 'Switchblade'

i've wondered about this too, but more from a trailering point-of-view. does the switchblade tuck up or store for trailering or cruising on the lake? it obviously helps the wake as i've seen many say, but out of the water all i can think of when looking at it hanging back there is "truck nutz"
  12. lake wallenpaupack

it's a pretty wide lake at the far end. we got a place there a few years ago right by the marina, and the narrow end is good for morning and night surfing because it's calmer. they do have a skiing-only section at the narrow end, but IIRC it's only certain times of day. i remember it being deep enough for boarding, not sure about surfing as i usually prefer 15' or more when surfing now, but we didn't do that much back then. there's one ramp right across the lake from the marina, the only one i know of. it was plenty deep, but it's a tight area for driving the trailer and boat around, and backing it in. sorry i'm not more help on the location of all that, but hopefully it helps! take a look at a map and the stuff i said should make more sense.
  13. Surf plates

probably just trim tabs added, if they were that small. there's an off chance they were the new gosurfassist tabs though, if they were surfing with it--they're about that size too.
  14. nice find. my next purchase is going to be between an avy and tige 22/24v depending on what i find when that time comes.
  15. i think this one is a scam. i emailed the guy about it and got the reply "The unit is in perfect condition with no mechanical issues or optical damages. Currently it's at our dealership in Manassas, VA. We got it as a trade-in. For detailed pics and info , please reply with your email address. Shipping is handled by us." seems a little scammy to have a "boat dealer" reply that it is a "unit". usually scammers will auto-reply this way so that it applies to any item being sold whether it's a car, boat, lawn chair, etc.

  17. Cheapest new boat?

if you're looking new, i saw a 2014 Supreme V226 Surf at the hartford boat show this past weekend for 58k with i think 1 hour on it. i was thoroughly impressed with the layout and with what you get for that price--surf system included, seats 14, had what i thought was the best bow seating at the show, triple ballast system, nice tandem trailer. no frills or touchscreen anything, but definitely a great looking surf and wake boat for the price. and they have one of the best surf waves in the industry right now. i've looked around at pricing lately and most seem to be in the 60k range, but if they were able to drop the price that much for the show, other vendors must be able to as well. other than that, the avy is my choice of a "budget" surf boat lately, i've seen them as low as 19k in the past couple months (for a 2002). if you have the $, go 2006 or newer to get the better vdrive ratio and get the c4 seating, they can be had in the high-20k to high 30k range.
