  1. Hey all! I was looking for any good ideas on the tower rack that I should buy for my 05 Avy. I am looking for a surf/wake style that can swing as well. The problem that I am running into is I don't think they make many for the type of tower on my boat. Any hints or suggestions are greatly appreciated. Side note, Anyone have any good idea's or info on how they built/fabb'd a full sized flag holder for their tower? Wanted to run an American flag for 4th of July this year up in Tahoe. Thanks again all this community is the best.
  2. Well I started it 30 minutes ago it started just fine. Now I turn the key and nothing happens. Batteries are charged... maybe the starter? Any ideas? I might think a fuse blew but still can't find any fuse box anyone know where it's at?
  3. Newb looking for new wakesurf boards

Hey bigcat appreciate the post, I think I was just having a rough run on the waves last weekend and was hating on the board instead of my own skills. This last weekend everyone rode much better on the squirt than the week before. Still thinking about an upgrade for myself though.
  4. Hey there everybody, Currently I am riding an Inland Surfer Squirt and I think I want to buy an upgrade for myself as well as a bigger "boat" board for others. If you are unfamiliar with the Squirt its a skim board with a fin on it practically. For myself I am looking for a more surf-like board in the weight range for a 150-160lb person. The "boat" board I am looking for would more suit the 180lb category and hopefully a little on the cheaper side. You guys have any leads, opinions or websites i should check out? Also, any "heads-up" about switching from a skim-wakesurfer to a more surflike board? Thanks for any input, I have been off the forum for awhile so it's good to get back and listen to people with passions for water sports like myself. Thanks again all, Jack
  5. The pictures show my problem... It is an ACME 817 prop. The boat was used mostly in a high altitude Lake Tahoe previously. So I am looking at a more suitable placement for wakesurfing at Lake Berryessa. Any input on what others are running or a guide on which prop to buy. Plan on doing the install myself so if there are any gotchas id like to hear about them. Also there seems to be wear through the gel coat directly above the prop on the boat. Was wondering if anyone had any info on why that happened and how to fix it. I don't know if it happened while I was chomping up the lake bottom or previously. I am also pretty sure that the prop was bent at a low rpm so I doubt there is any damage to the shaft as they were low powered prop strikes. Does that make sense to everyone else? As always thanks for any info. This site and forum rocks and all its members are great, happy to be a part of the community. -B
  6. I went and did it

Thanks everyone for all the info. -> Tommy its a walk through. At first I didn't like the walkthroughs but getting in and out of the boat a couple of times makes me realize how great it really is. Plus it will save the back compartment vinyl a lot of wear and tear . Only draw back is its one less chick that can tan up there
  7. I went and did it

Here is my 2005 Avy just got her today. Needs some work and was hoping you friendly guys and gals could lend some ideas. 1. Some of the non-skid padded surfaces on the boat are peeling up. I could just reglue them back down but would rather replace them. Any ideas on where to buy that kind of material. If it comes in a roll id rather due to I would like to cut my own pattern. 2. Does anyone know about how much a new fineline carpet insert is for a 2005 Avy? 3. Vinyl Repair Kits... Thoughts, ideas? 2 small gashes on the running board cushions on the port side... however I don't want to discolor it and draw further attention. 4. Grime build up on lower portion of the bow (in a slip near the marina)... Was wondering what kind of products you all would recommend using to get it off. Don't want anything too harsh to strip the gel coat. 5 and 6. Stickers on the back are peeling off. Know what kind of glue to use to reattach them back to the boat. The side stickers are a little banged up and I was always thinking about getting her naked on the sides anyway. How difficult is it to take the stickers off and the gunk left over? Goof off work okay for that? 7. Thanks for putting up with a newb asking a bunch of questions probably where he isn't supposed to but I have the week off and a lot of work to get done before its time to hit the water Saturday. Thanks all!
  8. Newbie questions about Elite Vdrive

Got a chuckle out of me Dura, thanks. Avys on the horizon.
  9. Newbie questions about Elite Vdrive

Thanks for all the posts and help! I do want to get into wake surfing so I will try to search for newer than '05 thanks for that info I didn't know they changed the hull to a deeper V. About how long is the life span on these Merc engines? Is 200 hours about 1/4 of its life spent?
  10. Newbie questions about Elite Vdrive

Here is the link, thanks for the views and the reply RVR. I am interested but I think it is overpriced. http://sacramento.craigslist.org/boa/4370620605.html
  11. Hey all, I am new to the wakeboarding scene. I have made the first right step and decided that I want a centurion (my dad had one many years ago) I have found a boat I am interested in. It is a 2005 Centurion Elite V drive with around 220 hours on it. It looks like it has been taken good care of. I was wondering what the general price would be in on this boat. I have the link if you would like to take a closer look at it. Thanks for any inputs.
