Tunable rudder advice
HawaiianStyle posted a topic in Centurion Boat Maintenance, Performance, Troubleshooting
Most of our crew surf on the regular side. Just wondering if anyone knew if our tunable rudder is set for maximum regular side potential. I've attached a picture. -
Quick Fill Winterization
HawaiianStyle posted a topic in Centurion Boat Maintenance, Performance, Troubleshooting
The cold spell is about to hit Washington and although I've winterized my boat and keep it garaged it does still get cold enough in there to make me nervous. Was wondering if I am supposed to keep my quick fill gates open during the winter? Thought I read in here that it was recommended. Thanks guys! -
Quick Fill Winterization

That's a great idea WakeDoc. Any idea what something like that would cost and how much energy that would consume? I want to say when we built our electrician wired it for heaters but with our energy bill hitting around $400 during the winter months wasn't really keen on adding more to that lol. -

PICTURES: All New 2015 Centurion Boats FS33 Enzo
HawaiianStyle replied to CrewAdmin's topic in Centurion Boats General Discussion
Hmmm wonder if that is the new flyboy in the rack? Racks must be a little bigger since the flyboy doesn't fit that nicely in our 2013 sv233 rack. Maybe a year or two and I can upgrade to that bad boy.- 56 replies

Pro Vision II Wake Plate Settings
HawaiianStyle posted a topic in Centurion Boat Maintenance, Performance, Troubleshooting
Just wondering how people are going in and doing their wake plate settings. We have had some issues where it feels as if the plate isn't engaging and the wave stays pretty flat. Anyone have issues with this. Seems like we have to put the auto plate on and then move it one up or one down once we get on plain. I've manually moved it up and down via the "blinker switch" next to the steering wheel while we were trailed so I know it's working. -
Man first thing I thought of was how it looks like a human on the end of fishing line just waiting for a big shark to come after it.

trailer brakes
HawaiianStyle replied to poosie's topic in Centurion Boat Maintenance, Performance, Troubleshooting
We have a steep hill down to our launch and by the time I get down there brakes smell terrible. Trying downshifting gears and it is still bad. Once in a while when I pull the trailer down with out the boat the trailer will studder like the brakes are locking. Any suggestions? -

Any Crew on Lake Chelan WA?

Condo looks awesome! You're right....a little small for what we are looking for. You guys have a great summer as well and a good time with your three weeks in Chelan. -
Any Crew on Lake Chelan WA?
HawaiianStyle replied to guido8000's topic in Centurion Boat Owners Hook-Up
The link doesn't work says page not found. Would like to look at it online and see if that would work for just our family. We normally get like 3-4 families and rent a big house. That's awesome that you guys are so close to retirement and have a lake retreat to be able to use. We would like to do something like that one day, but retirement is a long ways away for us. Surf and snow that's they way to do it. 50 hours is good. We put about that many so far this summer. -
Any Crew on Lake Chelan WA?
HawaiianStyle replied to guido8000's topic in Centurion Boat Owners Hook-Up
My family and I rented a lake house in Chelan a few years back and are talking about doing again next summer. Maybe we can coordinate. That sucks that your cabin and boat go unused for such a long period. For the price we paid for out boat we try to take it out every weekend during the summer Fortunately for us aside from the air quality have been unaffected by the numerous fires in Wa. It has been a brutal summer for a lot of families here. Seems to me as if this has been the worse year for fires. Where in NM? Only been once for a friends wedding in Las Cruces. -

What's up Guido we aren't on Chelan but we live in Ephrata, Wa which is about an hour and a half away from chelan. We usually will go out to steamboat rock out at banks lake or spring canyon at Roosevelt. We also have a low key smaller lake we go to for quick outings. -

Mid Port Locker Soaked
HawaiianStyle posted a topic in Centurion Boat Maintenance, Performance, Troubleshooting
We just gone done surfing today and the wave was amazing but when we went to clean out locker under the glove box we noticed that the towels were soaked. Needless to say we check the mid port locker and it was soaked even worse. I drained the bag and filled it up and didn't notice and leaks. The wettest part was near the hose toward the front of the boat that goes down into the hull. Wondering if anyone has had this happen or if anyone knows what I can do to troubleshoot or fix the problem? On a side note landed my 360 today!!!!? -
Mid Port Locker Soaked
HawaiianStyle replied to HawaiianStyle's topic in Centurion Boat Maintenance, Performance, Troubleshooting
Thanks Wetsu! I think I'll make this a winter project. Just to clarify you left the walls of the locker carpet and hydro turfed the floor? Then you just siliconed the opening leading from the mid port locker to the dry locker? Great idea with the plastic tray too. -

Mid Port Locker Soaked
HawaiianStyle replied to HawaiianStyle's topic in Centurion Boat Maintenance, Performance, Troubleshooting
Was it tough to remove the carpet from the locker? We have deckadence flooring and I've often mentioned to my wife and friends that would be nice to replace those lockers with deckadence. My only worry with doing that is that more water would filter into the dry locker since there would be less carpet to soak the water up until or if we ever find where the water is coming from. -

Mid Port Locker Soaked
HawaiianStyle replied to HawaiianStyle's topic in Centurion Boat Maintenance, Performance, Troubleshooting
Bags came with the boat. I actually tried this without any plugs lol. Let's just say didn't go very well. Bongo - we love in a very rural town and although we are 20 mins from arguably some of the best lakes in Washington we are 3 hours from any decent boat dealer. Aside from this issue I have been very pleased with my boat, but would love to take care of it since it's a hassle constantly drying the boat out. -
Mid Port Locker Soaked
HawaiianStyle replied to HawaiianStyle's topic in Centurion Boat Maintenance, Performance, Troubleshooting
Only part of the cockpit locker that seems to be wet is closest to the stern where the mid port locker runs into it. I don't seem to find any moisture near the battery box but I will try and keep a closer eye there. My thought is that the water in the cockpit locker is just water running from the mid port locker. As I mentioned earlier I'm not a DIY guy so trying to figure this out has been more than frustrating. Bongo - our actual dealer is about 8 hours away and the two we've taken the boat to were 2.5-3 hours away. One dealer was IMO completely incompetent and didn't even find the loose hose. Going to try switching the bag from the starboard side to the port side even though it didn't seem like the bag was leaking. If not I guess another expensive road trip to a dealer. On a side note I have to say that when considering buying a centurion sometimes maybe the best price isn't always the best option. Taking into account the proximity of your dealer and the quality of service would be things I would strongly recommend looking into as well. My dealer had acceptional pricing and amazing service but is more than 8 hours away. I just assumed the service would be on par at most dealerships. -
Mid Port Locker Soaked

So we are still having issues with this locker being soaked. Had it at two different dealers and the first one said everything was fine and the second found a loose hose which we hoped would solve the issue. Well....it didn't. Called Centurion and they said to check the fittings on the bag. So took her out this weekend and filled everything up like we were going to surf port side. No leaks on any of the fittings. Jumped in the water and surfed and as soon as I for back in the boat to grab a towel it was soaked and so was the mid port locker. Not sure what to donor where to go from here. Haven't tried Big Al's idea as I am mechanically challenged.
