  1. That goofy wave Rocks!!!! Wish my boat can do that!!
  2. The big boy is sweet!

My group kept laughing at me at the beginning, they are not laughing much now. The good thing is no one else can ride my board so it gets only used by me. I am so glad you posted this link, it really helped and gave me motivation to keep working with the board. I was about to pack that sucker in, but now it is my fun board!!!
  3. Good surf weekend, not much else. First pics are my 12yo daughter tearing it up, then my son Drake (my autistic surfer), then last pic is me getting the Big boy rocking. We will be going to St. John this week so will not be out surfing again until 2nd half of June.
  4. The big boy is sweet!

Ok, Tommy, it all clicked this weekend. I have this big boy down. This was the best weekend surf with it. I even did some nice slash work. Boy the board really responds. I think I was just not responsive enough in the beginning. It is getting easy now!!! Agreed. I got my wave dialed in more this weekend. Best so far. I had some really great riding on the bb. I can now move my rear foot much more it's coming together, getting use to it. I got one really good pump out of it and it was very fast! Put me on the back of the boat almost!
  5. Boat Packed for Powell

    Awesome, and plenty of sunscreen.
  6. Great Memorial Day weekend with a great raft up, fish fry, and crawfish boil. Also we had plenty of surfing!!! Enjoy!!
  7. The big boy is sweet!

Agree, it's about speed control with me. I am either going too fast or too slow on my pumping. I am getting much more confident though.
  8. The big boy is sweet!

Got some good surfing in on the the big boy and did much better. I tried the back foot forward of the fins and half way back to the kick pad. I think right at the front of the arch worked best for me. I just have to improve my pumping skills. If you lay off the board for a second you are done, it likes to be pumped. I had several nice long rides. This is going to be a good board to work on for the summer!!! I am excited.
  9. Locker supports.

I used square aluminum tubing bolted on like yours acman. I fill my 1100's all the way and the dividers do not budge, not even a bend. Before, they used to pop out every once and a while. Unfortunately I do not have a picture to share.
  10. Here are some surf pics.
  11. The big boy is sweet!

We usually surf at 10.5-10.7. I may bump the speed up to 11. My 12 year old athletic daughter tried the big boy and just loved it!!! Of course she has much better balance than her old man!!!
  12. The big boy is sweet!

That is great to hear. I will move the back foot forward, I will let you know when I go out. I will be in Pheonix AZ this weekend so cannot surf on the weekend, but may try during the week if I can break away from work early.
  13. The big boy is sweet!

They may explain some things. I usually ride with my back foot near the kick pad. It may be too far back. I have been moving my front foot ALOT and pearling a couple of tmes coming off the crest. It is funny, this past weekend was much better, but it is not a relaxing cruising board at all. You are right the board always moves. We had alot of chop and wind this weekend which made it a little difficult. I do not have any pics of me on the board yet but this pic is my old Ronix.
  14. The big boy is sweet!

Yes I have tried with the twinzers, trying to decide what I like best.
  15. The big boy is sweet!

I am so glad to hear from ya'll too. The first time I tried the big boy, it was hell for me to surf it. I thought I was maybe too big for the board (I am 225lbs). Then my buddy who is a really really good surfer, could not surf the big boy at all and he is way under 200lbs. That made me feel much better. Every time I surf it I am getting a little more confident. It is way responsive and I way over compensate for the board. To me you have to stay on top of the board and adjust quick. What fin setup are you using, two or four. Any tips on pumping it will help too. Sometimes I get back too far and cannot speed the board up quick enough to stay in the pocket. Our wave on the Cyclone is quite big too. I just need to learn to work the board better.
  16. I need to get me a long board for sure Runt. We did some surfing but did not get alot of footage. Love all the pics and video's. We have a big group coming in this weekend, our Houston boat friends will be here. I have a feeling there will be lots of footage for a good movie.
  17. Some pics My autistic son Drake surfed for the first time since his spinal surgery. Got right up on his board like he never stopped surfing.
  18. This past weekend movie.
  19. boat wont start

Oh yeah, did not think of the blue engine plugs. Great point.
  20. boat wont start

Check V drive plug like Kalidgh suggested. It should be right below the front of V drive, but do not know for sure with the 2003 Avy. Make sure your starter is dry too so it does not short out. Check the starboard side of the helm, for the fuses, possibly. The fuse box may be located somewhere else.
  21. Enjoy!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Y8gFdLgMVA
  22. I heard i-movie is fairly user friendly, but do not have experience. I know ya'll like video's so will share with the crew when we do new vids.
  23. LOL longer than I have patience for. One of our fellow surfers can put them together pretty quick. We are surfing this weekend, so may have some more pics/videos for editing. I just shared cause we all like videos and pictures.
  24. Boat is awesome!!! The goofy wave is awesome!!!!
  25. CREW DEAL: Hula Boat Care Products

Gnarly doing well so far. Still had some spiders but I think it helps. I just have too much surface area on the house boat. The ski boat is slick clean!!!
