  1. CC Fantasy Football?

    need any more?
  2. Wake World Vent

For all of the assclowns that are on that site, there are some cool, informed people. Don't let the assclowns ruin it for ya entirely... (That said, I don't post as often, nor read as much because of some of that stuff! )
  3. NorCal Lakes?

    Sent you a message Renobruin.
  4. NorCal Lakes?

I plan on hitting Berryessa Thus and friday 6-4 & 6-5 after Tahoe. My family is still in Fairfield. I had heard it was crazy with a lot boats trying to launch from less ramps.. That sucks!
  5. Lake Tahoe

Anyone up in Lake Tahoe? I'll be there from 5-23 thru 6-2 (without boat.. lake too low this year to keep moored where I stay) So I'm lookin' for a pull. I'll bring board just in case and I'm good for all the usuals of course..

  7. Picking up My SV240 tomorrow!

Different prop strokes for different folks.. I think a 537 would be great for me for ballast at sea level.. The 497 (13x17.5) will be the "Spare" for me when I can get something else.. I'm waiting to hear back on recommendations...
  8. Picking up My SV240 tomorrow!

I usually do memorial day in Tahoe for 2 weeks and the first time i took the Avy up there, I didn't swap the props. Had to buy a 1235 on Memorial day to deal with the altitude. (14.50 x 14.25 ) It seemed to perform a lot better. I didn't realize how strong a prop till I went to Berryessa at the end of my trip and left the prop on. It may be a little too big for the Avy. You'll definitely need some type of lower pitch to deal with the altitude. What "other" prop were you thinking? 1433? (14.00 x14.25)
  9. Thanks! Trim tab all the way down on the goofy?
  10. Sorry if this is a hijack, Show, you say "The Avalanche is a really easy hull to build a surf wake". May I ask what's a good way to weight the Avy for surfing? I haven't surfed yet, one of my wakeboarding buddies is a surfer, so we're gonna add wakesurfing to our trips out. My Avy is stock rear ballast, center ballast is the long range 2nd fuel tank... Eventually Id like to pull the hard tanks and put V-drive sacs, but for now I'm just curious how people weight the Avalanche.. If you think this should be a separate thread I can start one or you can reply in a new thread. (or sky highs firmer wake thread. I just read his update.. he included a surf setup there..). Thanks!
  11. firmer wake

Ok.. Cool! Good to know then when using up fuel when to try and offset weight... I think I may use my forward tank more frequently then! Thanks!
  12. firmer wake

No, that helps... I wasn't sure which was the standard tank.... So the standard tank is by the V-drive transmission and you fill it near the rear of the cabin? My other tank fills up in between the tower mounts...
  13. firmer wake

Big Daddy, I had success on one outing with a rider who was more experienced and suggested more weight up front... but on another it didn't help as much... I'm looking for consistency and the guys I quoted above have consistency in their setups. The reason I got the integrated bow sac in the first place was to compensate when I'm low on fuel and need to compensate for an empty tank... Kevin, good to know... I have a question though... Where under the floor is it located specifically? Is it between driver and observation seat? I ask so I can figure out when I'm low on that tank, where to put weight to help..
  14. firmer wake

Hahaha! Preach on Nate... The only reason I play with bow weight is because of the 2nd fuel tank went in in the place of the center tank so I have to offset somehow.. After that recent thread on WW about the avy I went back through a few old archive threads and made notes from a few people who had very clean wakes from the avy so I could play around a little more this season. "CBK-NATE I have an 07 Avalanche with triple ballast and I have it weighted as follows. 250 on top of the hard tank in the rear port locker 200 on top of the hard tank in the rear starboard locker 100 under the seats on each side of the cockpit 200 in the bow. If you get the wake dialed it will eat your lunch. I have had several people behind my boat that tried to hit it way to hard. My wake stays clean and is super steep. " George Aslinger We had an 05 Avalanche. We had 450 sacs in the rear (removed the hard tanks), 200 in the bow, 150 under the seat behind the driver (lead) and 250 (lead) under the seat on the port side. Here is a pic with a rider at 75 feet going 23mph. (George's pic was very clean.....) "Swatguy Mike, The avy with t he factory 3 tank setup imo doesn't need the bow weight. But from my experiences my buddies have removed the hard tanks and put 400lb scas back there left the center tank and needed about 250-300 in the nose to really crisp out the wake. With that additional 400lbs (200 on each side because the factory hard tanks are around 200)in the rear you have to offset it in the nose a little to be able to ride at 75-80ft otherwise it starts to curl at 23mph back there. When you add that 250+- to the nose it removes that curl and cleans it up past 80ft. George has his wake pretty dialed from his pics. VERY VERY CLEAN. Also agree with the need more port weight depending on how big your crew is and also the plate all the way up. If you have 2 people(adults) to offset the driver on the port side you shouildn't need that 300 but if not you will need some weight to offset the driver like George said. MY buddy keeps 4 45lb olympic plates that he rubber coated under the left and right rear bench seats(2 on each side for an evenly loaded boat) but when he doesn't have a big enough crew too offset that extra weight he moves them all to the port side. Always clean. The second fuel tank I"m pretty sure is about where the center tank would go.....the only thing is that when your not full on fuel you'll be low on that ballast and fuel goes fast these days so I would still keep and extra sac around for the nose to fill after a day of riding is winding down just is case. So I"d like the option of the bow sac if it were my boat! " All these guys have some great wake pics so I hope that helps... So for me this leaves only one question really.. Where are your guys center tank located?? I have a fuel tank thats near the v-drive transmission, and a fuel tank that seems to be forward than that, but I don't know if its in the bow? or under the center of the boat between the spotters and drivers seat.. Thanks!
