  1. The Wave....Really!

You ask and you shall receive. I have to confess, when I first saw the boat I said to myself "what in the world have they done", but after walking around it and listening to their intentions for the boat it kind of makes sense. They are going after a couple of different buyers. One being the jet boat buyer and the other being a budget boat buyer. The thing will retail at $29995 and that does include a tower, 350 mag motor, cover ( I think), and a few others. Overall I think it will be a successful venture. Let us know what you think!
  2. Falcon V 09 or Lightning 06 ?

I'd say considering your needs I'd go with the Falcon V. Besides the fact that it's a smoking deal, it sounds like it will be more suited for your all around needs. The 220 is a great boat, but it's not really a comparable model. It's a strict wake boat and is very weight sensitive, so the wake is very tricky to manage. I'd go with the Falcon V.... Just my .02 Good Luck!
  3. Weighing and Boat speed

    Avalanche 24.7 / 75 feet/ Triple Ballast plus 500. Wakesetter 23LSV 24 / 75 Feet / Quad Stock Ballast, 1500 plus Wedge
  4. Anybody surfin' an Avalanche near East TN?

Kevin - I am the dealer in Kingsport and I'd be more than willing to load up any boat however you want. I've put a few hundred hours on Avalanches and have been able to get them pretty dialed in. The boat above that Joe mentioned is at our shop and is super nice and we also have a 2010. Again, I'd be more than happy to load them up and let you get a taste of what kind of wave they'll really make. Nate

  9. boat hull designs

David - (mdboats) said it best. I couldn't have said it better. From the discussions you and I have had, I think the Falcon will be a great fit.
  10. Fall Ride

This is a vid from our last ride of the year..... CBK Vid
  11. J-Star?

J-Star is a brand often overlooked. They're mostly sold overseas, but are a solid product. I've been approached by them to carry their product and would consider but have been exclusive to RON1X since their inception and just don't want to break that relationship. JSTAR is solid for sure!
  12. Newbie question

Hey David - Glad to see you on here. I don't think you'll have an issue, between me and the other guys at our store, we have backed some boats into some very interesting places and have managed to do so successfully. Just FYI.... I'll be glad to let you take a boat to your house and make sure it'll work.
  13. Fall Ride

Rope is 75 and speed is 24ish... Thanks for the comments.
  14. Fall Ride

  16. Are you a big fan of Camo on a wakeboat

I think it's "An a$$ for every seat" Sounds like a cliche, but it's so true.

  18. Are you a big fan of Camo on a wakeboat

    I kind of dig it!
  19. It is a definite help with getting the wakeboard wake cleaned up. It will depend on the amount of people, weight, speed and line length while wakeboarding to determine the tab position, but generally it should never be more 25% (I think that's the position).
  20. Any 2010 Spy Photo's Yet?

You won't see a ton of new new things, but there are some nice changes as far as options and standards go......but I won't tell . Surf Expo is Aug 20 - 22. You'll see plenty of photos then....
  21. Can't rear ballasts full?

Prop for sure... 537 is the one you need.
  22. Hey new to the forums

    Welcome!
  23. I need opinions... FAST!

I agree with Carter on this one. The new one really doesn't seem like that good of a deal, it's pretty much stripped and it will cost several thousand dollars to add some needed options. I was sold at first glance of the used one. I can tell you from experience that the tower on the used one is much easier to use and is taller. Seriously...consider the used one.
  24. Trailer Problems

Just to clarify for everyone....Boatmate trailers are used East of the Rockies anything West is typically another brand. I deal with trailer issues (simple ones) all of the time. The leaky hubs are very common and are a very easy fix, the allen head screws that hold the grease in tend to work themselves loose over time. It's a god idea just to check those often. Most of the time these issues are just related to the amount of use they get, they sit for days or sometimes weeks at a time during the season and then sit for months during the off season. Boatmate has always gone above and beyond for us....
  25. tennessee tigé OPEN HOUSE

Funny Billy.....It's actually my partners demo boat. I am sure I'll have more pics of it soon... If Stephen can't meet us on Knoxville with it soon, I'd say we'll see you when we pick it up.
