  1. Found the problem the vibration was in the ignition system, the distibutor cap and rotor had moisture accumulated in it that caused misfiring under load, as i ran the boat it dried out, but it was getting worse as rhe carbon built up on the contacts. Changed the parts out and the engine never sounded better and had great power and responsiveness The only strange thing is the distributor cap has a barb fitting but no hose attached to it, this is more than likely how the moisture was getting in, does anyone know what this fitting is for?
  2. Yes, not an inch of the boat is in the water.
  3. It sits out of the water on a lift but you could say that's similar to a trailer.
  4. I have a 2008 typhoon that after it sits on the lift for a week or more the first few times its taken out it will vibrate thru what appears to be the V-drive assembly, especially if the boat is loaded up(i.e. pulling tubers), but then after the first few times its been taken out it goes away and i have no problem with it. I'm suspecting it is the propeller shaft dripless seal, does this need lubrication? All fluid levels are fine the Walter V-drive and transmission fluid are right to spec. Any ideas, Thanks
  5. The adjustment tab on my rudder has come loose and the set screws are missing on my 2008 typhoon, what's the best way to get the right part to fix this. The tab will move up and down on the rudder shaft and spin completely around, i know it needs to be at a fixed offset to the rudder to get the boat to track straight, There is still a piece of the roll pin in the tab but that's all i have. Thanks
