  1. Ri257 only surf settings

I arrive Wednesday night. I'll be in a 40' centurion motor home right above h2o school. Come say hi or I'll find ya! 257s aren't easily missed ?

15x14.25 prop, fill everything except bow and center. Keep my tank full not empty, 500lbs of lead in back third of boat, QS between 70-80, center between 50-85, cats +\- 5, speed between 11.2-11.7. Drain 5-10% opposite surf side ram fill if need to clean.

Hey, I have about 600hours on the Ri237s and have learned that you don't have to list them and you can swap side to side on the fly. I've spent a little time in 257 and a lot in 217 also and they all have subtle differences but essentially behave the same. I suggest minimizing bow wait so you can fill the rams equally. I would almost avoid using cats all together and apply more quick surf to clean the wave up. Just some of the learnings I've had. I believe I know the pro your talking about - she loved your wave! I'll see you at Kooc? Look forward to seeing it! ?
  4. H5 is gonna get a work out. I'd do a 15" if not 15.5" diameter prop. Try 15x14.25. 16 pitch is not gonna give you what you need for surfing and you'll burn a lot of gas!
  5. I surf around 11.4 and with about 4 people and 500lbs of lead I run 3800-4000 rpm at 3700'. I have the H6.

You're correct sir! I will wreck that prop

That's odd. My 2017 with 15x14.25 I was running 3800-4000 rpm today surfing 11.4 with 600lbs of lead, full tank, and 6 people. All ballasts 100% except empty Centre and bow. My 2016 would have been screaming! Stoked I can run more weight now! So impressed by what a half inch does... would love to try a 15.5 but so damn expensive for us Canadians.
  8. I run a 15x14.25 on my 2017 Ri237 and it's awesome compared to my 2016 where I ran 14.5x14.25. It reduced rpm by 200-300. Stoked the 2017 allows for larger props. ?
  9. Anyone figure out where the plugs are for the Ri237 for the AFT lights? Thanks!
  10. 2014 fx44 purchase HELP!

I've had both SV244 and FS44. Both awesome, but no contest- FS better.
  11. Ri237 or fs33?

I couldn't use the quick surf on my 2015 FS44 but once I got my regeared 2016 FS44 it was awesome. Finally had the torque to more fully utilize the ballast. What you lose in steapness you gain in push and flexibility. You have to have the H6 though in my opinion.
  12. I owned a 2012 244 and have an FX44 on order. I like the fx22 wake stock better than 244. 233 is also great. Asymmetric plates on newer models make all the difference for starboard riders.
  13. The FX44 is awesome! The hull is much deeper than the fx22 and even the sv244 it was sitting beside. More ballast than 244 also. Otherwise it looks like a bigger version of the fx22. Real nice!
