  1. What brand did you go with. I have 3-950CCA Starting Deep cycle Interstates and I put new ones in every other year. I think I'm getting around 60Amps but I have 3 very large amplifiers with cooling fans in the stowage compartment. Wires are 0 GA with perko selector switches. While running it hits about 13.4V but with all accessories off. As soon as I turn on the blower at no wake speeds, any lights which are LED, any of the ballast pumps, the voltage dips to 10-11volts. I have LED drain plug and new speakers (kicker marine w/led and RGB controller) I have yet to add. I use my boat every week as I have a covered slip. I am looking at Marine grade alternators, as it is in the water all year round, and I even use my boat in the middle of december. I have on board tender/chargers for 2 batteries and a 3rd spare battery. I usually top up charge with a 15amp quick charger. I also carry mechanic grade jump packs like MATCO/SNAPON jump packs as I work in auto industry. Do you know what brand you have in there?
  2. I have noted this season while running the blower or the ballasts or the radio my voltage drops heavily and the boat will only be 11v or so, and my gauges start going crazy. I run tenders and chargers regularly. I have an 05 escalade C4 storm series 3 with Black scorpion motor. Has anyone found a good high output marine grade alternator?
  3. I have used the Costco ones and they are cheap and good for 2 seasons if you keep them tended. I have heavy Audio use and they are good bang for the buck. Interstate has 950cca starting deep cycles I run now. I got 2 for the price of 1 so I couldn't pass them up.
  4. I got the LED boat plug but haven't wired it up yet. I also have some small LED flat bar lights for the top of the tower as mine didn't come with them. Also need to get LED cupholder rings and replacement for the led cupholder accents. The courtesy lights burn out once a year with LEDs I think being around moisture kills them. Luckily they are cheap. My Speakers also have LEDs in them but haven't installed them yet either. I'm trying to find which bulbs to get for the Anchor lights as well. Then I need to get a high output alternator because my batteries die quickly.
  5. That looks awesome! I keep mine in a slip all year... would there be any benefit or detriment to this mod on a moored boat?
  6. Great to hear... will make sure to grab a set for next year. I have been out 1-2 times a week since I have a covered slip now. Makes it so much easier
  7. What is the best place to get a replacement mooring cover and also a full cover that goes around the tower i can use while mooring. Dammed raccoons keep getting into my boat. I just want the factory back half mooring cover and a full over. Thanks, Matt
  8. LETS SEE YOUR RIDES

I stay moored on Lake Sonoma, but also do Berryessa and Oroville. We will be on Oroville the weekend before the 4th of July... Usually we go for the 4th but we are doing the weekend earlier. If you are up there we will be up for 4 days. Had it a couple years now, and shes been treating me well. Always get nice words from people on color combo. My buddy traded me some cash and my Ducati 999 BiPosto for the boat. In 2 years I have put over a hundred hours on it, and my buddy had it 9 years and only put 190 on it. Love this boat. We spend 1-2 days on it a week as it is moored at Lake Sonoma.
  9. Did the cap kit for like 40 bucks along with the regular maintenance... runs strong as can be. Have been using it 1-2 days a week non stop since March. This boat has been such a great boat.
  10. I pulled mine out for service...did impeller last year, so having cap/rotor and plugs done and swap my prop for higher speed prop, the surf prop is sucking down fuel like mad. Probably gonna cruise/chill more this year
  11. Thanks, I was amazed how clean the wires were at connections. I will check the cap and rotor, probably just throw one on as good measure. Thanks for the heads up. I was thinking replace the fuel filter too. My boat gets regular use, is moored in a slip, and I run it 1-2 days a week. Need it to be reliable.
  12. I would probably just do green and try for glass lens... with the highest lumens possible
  13. What would be the best for brightest, Green color LED for a boat stored in a slip. I don't want to have any leaks. I have also seen switchable from Green to White so you could just use them as transom Lights or as color accent lamps.
  14. Citrus Clean works on just about everything without being harsh. I also use Zep Good Stuff with a microfiber... it's awesome
  15. I have taken my boat out the last few weekends to burn out the winterizing and gas, and have gone through a tank and a half of new fuel, with BG44K fuel system cleaner, some Techron, and Octane boost just to help clear out the old gas. I am getting a lag/sputter/power loss while cruising like a misfire or a fuel starvation... Wires don't look damaged, boat is pretty spotless. I checked oil and it isn't even dark, and still clear honey look to it, no milkshake, so its not water getting into the cylinder like a cracked head or block. It just loses power and comes back and sputters. Anyone have this issue on an 05 Escalade/Avalanche C4 with 5.7 Black Scorpion? Other than that the boat was a champ, and it's great to have real lake levels for a change.
