Nice dude. Always wanted the One or Viva but seemed to be locked into Liquid Force. Havent been out that way toward Boca and Stampede in years, heard the water level was still down. Been going to Frenchmanns quite a bit over the last few years. I know the water level will always be good and minimal boaters during the week days.

Hey 775 surfer, is that Frenchmanns?

New Board to Check Out: Airbaze Next
rizza32 replied to LakeSurfer's topic in Watersports & Related Gear
It does look like the original flyboy with a different fin setup. The others look exactly like the Hazen and Comp1 by Shred Stixx. -
You guys got me hooked on this series. It's up there with Spartacus now. Just finished the first season. My buddy was sayin that everyone is infected That's why the normal deaths still turn to walkers.

The fins on the Fly Boy are angled making it a board that you have to pump. Gettsum, can you gain speed by pumping this board or is it similar to the sweetspot where you lean forward and it takes off. Thinking of getting one this summer.

Grew up watching this guy ride. He was an animal. No one charged it harder than this guy. Sucks he and his family got caught up in this stuff. First and as far as I know the only rider to do the 540 orbital wich is a rotation over the rope. Cant find footage of the orbital but check this out, S bend like a Boss.

Great deal but these boards are designed for river surfing. Bio said built like thresher but thicker so it can hold those standing waves in the river. Wonder how it would ride behind the boat.

Want to plumb in an 1100 lb jumbo sac in the port. Will this be good enough? Anyone have experience with these? http://www.wakemakers.com/kiss-complete-impeller-780-ballast-package-html.html -

So last year we drove by Lake Almonar on our way to Shasta and thought we would give it a try this season. We just got back from five nights on the Lake just East of the peninsula in a golf club community. First off the lake was beautiful and large but lacks any kind of fingers or coves for any glassy options after the morning. Its owned by PG&E which was a little strange. Dont know if I would trust a large power company to always make the right choices with a natural resource. Now this is just my opinion, and I would love to hear from others and their experiences here. I should have probably asked for some input before we left. Anyhow just got the feeling that this town really doesnt need any help from tourism. The locals were really not that friendly and at times rude. I would go for runs in the morning trying to be nice, smilin and wavin and people would look up and turn their backs. Same results while driving around and out on the water too. One grumpy local on a pontoon with a couple passengers flew 20 ft off our bow at 30 mph with my kid in the water waiting to get pulled. Another came along side us and cut right in front of us while my older son was wakeboarding. He continued to race to his dock at high speed because they forgot their intertube. Awesome. These things would happen every day. Last day the Sheriff stopped us while I was surfing which was really cool. He stopped us because he did not like my comp vest and thought we did not have any CGA vest on board. We were tied up to this guy for 45 mins while he went through the rule book and finally sparkled up when he found that I did not have a throwable floating cushion. So while he is writing me a citation he is going off on a tangent about CO and how he doesnt recognize FAE and doesnt care. In all my years of being on the water I have never met a Sheriff who was so set on ringin us up for something. Either way I have never looked forward to coming home from vacation before. Now it could just be me and the locals not liking my bald head and vacation beard or they truly dont like visitors. Message received. Lake Almonar locals 1 My family 0. Not goin back any time soon. Still managed to have a little fun. My boys wakeboarding improved dramatically just from riding for five days straight. Started getting pretty brave and got a little air on their boards which did lead to some good faceplants, but they still came up all smiles.
