Hey. I sold my centurion typhoon, and am thinking about another boat. We are looking at older, and I saw a few 2005 and 2006 v220s for sale. My typhoon have a pretty good surf wave, and I know the 226 and. 238 boats have great waves. How is the surf wave on the older v220 boats? That is pretty much all we do (or did before I sold). The supremes in the same year are considerably less money than centurion Enzo's or avalanches. Thanks for any input.

I may have missed it, but this is the first I've heard of making sure the rudder is centered before applying power. What does that affect and how? Thanks.

I had an 03 typhoon with center hard tank. When the tank was full, the overflow would spill out a thru hole on the starboard side. That's when I new to turn off

If I'm picturing it right, is there a small Allen screw at the 6o clock position? Directly under the arm? Mine was loose and it was that screw that had worked its way out over time. I pushed the throttle back in, applying pressure and tightened the screw. Seems nice and tight now

I did that. Cycled it about 50 times (literally) and the water filter was still empty. This is on a friends tige. On my typhoon, I never had this issue. I ended up filling it with fuel, then installing. Dumped some carb cleaner in it, and it eventually started. Thanks for the replies

Okay. I just changed the oil, impeller and fuel filter water separator. The boat had a little hard time starting, but ran fine when warming up the oil. After the change, the boat won't start. It just keeps cranking. I pulled the new fuel filter water separator off and it has no fuel in it. When I turn the key on, I hear the fuel pump for a few seconds, then it turns off. Any ideas?

The housing is damaged. I'm replacing the entire housing along with the impeller. Not sure if that's where you mean

So, I'm helping a friend out and changing his impeller on his vdrive. The impeller I just removed looks fine, no issues, but the housing has a tiny piece missing. I went in search of t, and found about 7 pieces of old impeller almost completely blocking the grate. I removed them all, and am wondering if there is any where else I should check.

Here's my dilemma. I sold my typhoon two years ago when we had our second kid. Now the kids are 2 and 4, and I'd like to get them on the water. Only problem, my wife quit her job to stay home with the kids. So we can only afford 5-10k dollars on a used boat. I have found several, but all are direct drives. I highly doubt I'd be able to get my big butt surfing behind one, but can they be dialed in enough for kids to surf? Want to keep making water memories with them. Thanks for any help or thoughts.

I'll check that tonight. The switch appears to be working correctly, as it illuminates when the rocker is pushed up or down.

All of my interior lights (courtesy) stopped working, as well as the LED lights in all the lockers. I checked the fuse panel and all the fuses were good. What else can you guys think of? Thanks. Ethan

We have an 03 typhoon with walk thru transom and we really like it. It was the main selling point for my wife. People don't get the seats dirty walking on them and if someone forgot to take off their shoes, they aren't stepping on the seats. We mostly use our boat to surf, and the walk thru really limits the wave for goffy riders. I would say that is the biggest drawback, as well as the lack of storage. I'm may be alone, but the positives out weigh the negatives for me and my family.

I have a 2003 Typhoon. Recently, the courtesy lights and dash lights quit working. The rocker switch for the lights still works like normal. I have checked all the fuses (even the ones not labled for the courtesy lights) and all were good. How else can I diagnose this problem? Everything else works great, including the faria piliot one (or whatever its called). Thanks Ethan
