Trouble removing bow seat for re-upholstery
Nick213 replied to Gibber's topic in Centurion Boat Maintenance, Performance, Troubleshooting
I have the same year and model. There should be 4 or 5 bolts with nuts and washers under there (I’ve caught my hand on one reaching for an anchor one time) yours might be in a different location then mine but the one I caught my hand on was close to the cup holder. -
Can you surf behind a 2002 Centurion?
Nick213 replied to opie311's topic in Centurion Boats General Discussion
Had my Avalanche for a few years. 800# of lead, 1100’s in the rear lockers, 540’s under the seats and an A-plate for the goofy side. It threw an incredible wave! I put a 400# bag on the starboard side seat when we surfed goofy and it was almost identical to the port wave. I will say the boat was SLAMMED with that much weight. let’s see if the picture of how slammed it was will load… -
Newbie looking for boat advice....

The 244 is 4” longer and the windshield is forward so the 240 has a bigger bow then the 244. -
Newbie looking for boat advice....
Nick213 replied to Dustycoyote's topic in Centurion Boats General Discussion
Out of your list I have owned: An 2008 AVY and my current boat 2013 SV244. I had a great regular wave on the AVY listed (pretty scetchy for a newb) and a pretty good listed goofy wave (again scetchy for a newb) after I added custom bags and an adjustable A-plate tab. My SV244 puts out such a good wave on both sides I can’t justify getting a new boat at this time. I have added 800#’s of lead that I don’t move in my 244 other then that it’s all factory ballast. The SV 240 I posted seemed like a good starter boat given your criteria posted (in my search in Utah for centurions) and the dealer is known to have a good if not great reputation. With your interest in older models and surfing being your main priority for sports your gonna need to do some modifications with any brand to get a desirable wave. -

@Dustycoyote Based on everything I’ve read from your initial post I did a quick search for centurions on onlyinboards and surprisingly found this. There may be some ballast bags that can be swapped out or added if needed. Since you don’t want to use a wake shaper you’ll need to list the boat. That in my mind puts the AVY out because they they lean a lot so that brings you into an Enzo because they can be listed with a great surf wave but don’t lean as much as the avy and have a little more freeboard. Here is the Enzo I found in Utah in my search. https://www.onlyinboards.com/2009-Centurion-Enzo-SV240-Low-Hours-Excellent-Condition-Loaded-for-sale-Springville-Utah-99148.aspx -
They are out of business.... I was fortunate enough that when my tower broke on my bowrider elite they were still in business and they made me a new upper portion. Unfortunately your only option at this point is to A: find a tower that mounts to the existing points (find the same tower) D: glass in the old holes and get a new tower that fits.

I’ll be out there this Saturday. If anyone will be there and see’s me come say hi.

Thanks for the offer, but If I make it to Berryessa you and your family will roll with us ? Heading to Shasta in a couple weeks for a week can’t wait!

The tower rest on the curved end and the bottom sits on the floor. I believe it came with boats equipped with the evolution tower. They work in the 23’ Enzo and typhoons but not as well in the avy because the seat. One did not come with my 13 Enzo so if anyone with one is willing to sell me there’s I’m interested. Since my board racks sit on the cousins when the tower is done I’d like one for my gladiator tower.

It was fine when in the water or shade. I was at the Gilroy garlic festival Sunday. Glad it was to hot for us and we left early.

I was out on Naci today it was 104 degrees. The cove was calm but there were a lot of boats out and pretty choppy everywhere else.

TOUCH SCREEN
Nick213 replied to SURFDOGG's topic in Centurion Boat Maintenance, Performance, Troubleshooting
I’ve got the same year and model boat. Fortunately no problems with the touchscreen as of now. I did have it turn off on its own once but that was because of a low battery. Maybe start by making sure your batteries have a full charge and clean the screen really well. I say clean the screen really well because they can get smudges. Also try going into dealer screen (code is 91) and recalibrate the touchscreen. Id check all that off the list before purchasing a new one. -
Was just there yesterday and there’s still more water then years past! we didn’t see you out Enzo were you in your pontoon?

That is the pole to hold the tower when folded down.

A Real WTF Type Trip

I’d say take the amp to a local stereo shop and have it bench tested. -

Yes disconnect the power to the amp. Since you already removed the RCA’s the problem should be between the amp and sub. -

Since you started with the rca, now disconnect the power and reconnect it. If that dose nothing pull the sub and take a look at it. From there take the amp out and have it bench tested at a stereo shop. -
Centurion Stern Thruster EasyDrive
Nick213 replied to Wakebrian's topic in Centurion Boats General Discussion
Email sent. My main concern with this would be interference with my surf wave. I’m only interested in it because the lakes I use get pretty windy and I always put my boat in a slip. This would make it a one person job and increase resale on my boat.- 4 replies

Quality Control Issues? Opinions (Level-headed please)
Nick213 replied to thesasquatch's topic in Centurion Boats General Discussion
@byerman I was at the same event, and the centurion was a Fi25 not Fi23 it definitely out performed every boat there as far as wave is considered. Hunter had that boat dialed as what would be expected from a centurion rider bringing it. Did that event (and boats brought) have you thinking one brand or another has better QC then what you have experienced with your centurion? I feel they all were on par as for QC based on what was there, given non of the boats had any issues at the time and everything seemed to work properly on all of them that weekend. -
First mod to my SV244
Nick213 posted a topic in Centurion Boat Accessories, Electronics and Modifications
Did my first mod to the boat today. This boat will not get many modifications but wanted to do the tower lights I kept off my avy. Next will be stereo, definitely not going to be as crazy as my last few stereo builds. These are the Rigid dually's wired to the touchscreen. I put the starboard light facing forward and port facing aft. They are controlled separately on the touch screen. I'll add pictures of them in action on the water after our first night outing. -

Gladiator Bimini
Nick213 replied to GladiatorOnASupra's topic in Centurion Boat Accessories, Electronics and Modifications
Give sewlong custom covers in Utah a call. They make Bimini tops (with board sleeves) for the gladiator tower.
