  1. exact same thing happened to me but with my stereo. Missed a ground wire. My standup autozone tested my batteries and said they were both good.
  2. I also notice if we turn to sharply we get a 999 depth
  3. That should just be for break-in, after that you can go 50-100 depending on your use.
  4. Can't speak to your glovebox, but for the valves, that's how mine work. If I leave them open, they'll be closed next time. So I just open and close them when we're done and open and close them when we start. That way I have no doubt where they are. Those rear ones can trick you into thinking they're open when they're not.
  5. Here you go!
  6. Window Tint

We split time between the bay and a lake, and on neither do I sit behind the windshield. Whether I'm hitting 3 foot swells in the bay, or 6 inch rollers on the lake, I'm on the bolster above the windshield. So my tint darkness has had no play in my visibility
  7. Hello new guy here

For the maintenance, check out the manual that came with your boat, namely the engine. It should give you a pretty good rundown of the maintenance you need to do to winterize it yourself. Once you can do that, you'll be pretty familiar with the engine bay area
  8. You have no idea!! It was the most ridiculous thing I've had to do yet. Not only do you have to be a contortionist, you also have to move the clamps for the exhaust on the inside, otherwise you won't have enough clearance for the bolts. However once completed, well worth the piece of mind I'd also like to toss in that the screw holes for the old plastic exhaust were leaking on the inside of my boat. I had filled them with silicon, but I guess it gave up after a while. Refilled with 5200 and we're water-tight again! Probably smart you left yours in
  9. Pricing a 2015 s226

Man, that was fast! You just showed up around here last year!
  10. So I have a problem that started this season. My head unit will only stay on for about 30-45 seconds after I kill the engine when my batteries are isolated, stays on indefinitely when they are combined. All other house electronics stay on, amps, lights, 420, etc, etc. Pulled the batteries and had them both tested, everything is good. I have an onboard smart tender that alerts if there is a battery issue, all good there too. My first thought was that the battery isn't holding a charge, but the testing show it is and the fact the amps and 420 stay on tell me that as well. So I'm wondering if maybe I missed a wire when reconnecting the batteries starting this season, I looked around and didn't see anything, but I didn't pull everything out to look. So I have no idea what's going on. Anyone else have an idea? Is there a direct wire to the house battery from the clarion head unit that I might be missing?
  11. RI257 first day review

Is their any interference with the surf rope and the back of the sewlong? Any rubbing? It's definitely a steep price, I'd pull the trigger in a heartbeat at 2K, but 3500 is crazy for some tubing and fabric. I could fab my own for that amount or could learn to really love my stock bimini...
  12. RI257 first day review

    That's one big woman
  13. Wouldn't this be a better activity for a truck stop? Or gas station bathroom?
  14. Think u had a bad day

Haha! Too bad he's not into water sports, the boat that sank was a 32ft Sea Ray.
  15. Think u had a bad day

He had to lawyer-up. All he wanted was to break even as he was going to sell the boat this year anyway. He just wanted fair market value and they hassled him. The lawyer is going for much more...
  16. Think u had a bad day

This just happened to an employee of mine. He dry docked his boat for the winter and removed the sea strainers to upgrade in the spring. The marina decided to put his boat in a wet slip on a Friday without telling him, Monday morning he got a call that it was underwater.
  17. Nope. Cable was never reconnected after dewinterization. It's hard for my large oafish self to get full under the observer seat to find all the cables when putting the batteries back in. After reconnecting this guy, the radio stayed on.
  18. So "I'll check tonight" really meant "I'll check after work a week from now". Couldn't see anything so I turned my phone flashlight on and took a video, low and behold: Thanks for the help everyone! I wouldn't have caught this all season!!
  19. 2013 CENTURION SV211

Oh man! It's too soon!!! It's still hot outside!!
  20. What you have there is the drain pump. If you hit center out and the fuse pops, you probably have a bad pump or a short. They're pretty cheap on Amazon, I'd replace it. The fill for this guy is going to be a Jabsco pump somewhere in your v-drive area.
  21. Lift foil....so cool!

I'll never buy something in develop mode again. The onean electric surfboard I bought two years ago was advertised at 22-25mph, I finally got it last month with the other pre-ordering people. Using the GPS app I topped at a whopping 9mph.
  22. fisherman vs surfers!

Don't tell me my business devil woman!
  23. Can you define which pump you mean in the bold: "So the odd part, I removed the cartridge and let the water drain, then hit the bilge pump button, that pump turned on and pumped the water out of the bilge" I'm trying to follow what you're writing and this is what I think you're saying assuming "that pump" === "the cartridge pump": 1) With the cartridge pump in the tank, the tank full of water, you turn on the bilge pump. The bilge pump turns on, the cartridge pump does not 2) With the cartridge pump out of the tank, the tank drained, you turn on the bilge pump. The bilge pump turns on, the cartridge pump does too ^^ This makes zero sense ^^ Here's what should happen: If there is water in the bottom of the boat (like if you manually drained the tank into the bilge) and you turn on the bilge, it should a) be the only pump that turns on and 2) should pump out the water. If there is water in the tank and none on the bottom of the boat, and you turn the bilge pump on, nothing should happen except that you can hear a hum from the bilge pump. There is nothing to pump out. It should be the only pump that turned on. If there is water in the tank and you turn on the Center Ballast Out switch, the cartridge pump attached to the base of the tank should turn on and pump the water out. The bilge pump should not turn on.
  24. Surfing tips

Most use 1 of 2: My preference is leadwake (https://www.leadwake.com/) because I like the 50lb bags There is also http://www.pop-products.com/ which do 40lb bags
