  1. The sox are fine, but I recommend the downfire speaker covers that Centurion makes. They zip up and are heavy canvas. I have both and I really wouldn't trust the sox at highway speeds, more for covering them while on the water without degrading the sound.
  2. Double check to make sure they're pumping as they should be. I'd disconnect a fill ( the one on top) and jam it in a bucket then select fill on the touch screen. Water should come screaming out. If it doesn't check the pump impellers as mentioned and check that your hoses are all sealed on the pumps. Also may be worth checking to make sure your ball valves are completely open
  3. Damn, that's a lot of uninsulated spades all cramped together... You definitely have a loose one on your engine stop button, doubt that would cause your issue though. Check the spades on the back of the safety kill switch as well.
  4. I bet you'd find someone on here that would love to swap v-drives! Otherwise you're looking at an asymmetrical plate that has a wing out to the starboard side
  5. Oil pump

It comes with a pipe that fits down the dipstick, no need to figure any sizing out
  6. Are we talking impeller pump or cartridge? Assuming impeller check that your lines are sealed airtight. The impeller pumps need an absolute seal to prime, if there is even the slightest opening, they won't prime and you'll get the dribble. I used to heat my lines up with a heatgun (or a hair dryer if you have a lot of time on your hands) then tighten the clamps while they're still soft, when the hose hardens it'll be pretty sealed. I'll bet you $2 this is your problem.
  7. That sucks. I had a non-centurion dealer do the repair and they had no problem getting the flake from Fineline. It was pretty quick, less than 2 week turnaround.
  8. Oil pump

100% this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001CX0WX4 After handpumping for 2 hours once, I'll never do it without the jabsco
  9. The one on my Black Scorpion was center above the VDrive by the flame arrestor. It's a red button, the unit itself can go bad. If you can find it, try to bypass it
  10. So the head smacking first things to check when you're not getting a beep are: Is the throttle in neutral? Is the clip on the kill switch under the throttle? I also seem to remember a kill switch in the engine bay with my black scorpion, might want to check that too. There are a few that have had that switch fry.
  11. Yeah, stock it's pretty throaty. I liked the sideswipe in my 07 because you could switch the exhaust to non surf side, put it was definitely louder than my 15 with the pipes above water. There are several people here that have built/bought sound dampeners as well as flaps to help bring the noise down.
  12. Why do you want to get on plane when surfing? It's counterproductive. You want as much boat in the water as possible to displace the most amount of water as possible
  13. No regrets

Have you confirmed that speed with a GPS App? That's really really fast for surfing
  14. You could always drill another and do a tee. When I upgraded the intakes I pulled the cartridge drains and check valved the lines to use the old thru hull drains. At 1.25" line, the stock holes had no problem passing the water.
  15. X3 I had an Avy with the walkthrough, as a goofy rider it was pretty bad and it definitely cut down on the seating since you're missing about a third of the available seating area
  16. I'm not certain of the inner workings of the actual repair, but I do know that they had to order the flake from fineline
  17. Will do! Right now I'll probably shove some orange "life jackets" in there. Coast guard compliant, out of the way, fix the bow sac problem!! Win-win-win
  18. So we've been surfing a pretty steep wall lately, which I dig, but it's not 100% new surfer friendly as it constantly pushes everyone into the rear of the boat. I threw 100lbs up there the other day with a light crew and it really extended the wave and made the ride a whole lot more fun. I pulled up the cushions and had a look around and noticed that my bow bag wasn't getting a full fill, it's getting wedged under the foot well which isn't allowing it to fill to its full potential. Anyone else notice this? Anyone have a tip for getting the thing to fill completely other than babysitting? I'm thinking something like a beach ball or an old flyhigh brick I have laying around, shove it in this area and fill it with air to keep the bow sac from getting under the well. Thoughts?
  19. I did a very similar thing on my then new 33. I took it to a dealer and they ordered the flake from fineline and did a pretty good repair job. I'm the only one that notices where they repaired because I know where the scratch was. The good thing is that insurance covers it, total bill was around 2500 for a 3ft long scratch.
  20. The old guy during the twerking "You damn kids with your twerks, get off my lawn"
  21. Loose wires under the dash

I just got this from a friend of mine. He's in the land of maple syrup and apologizes for vacation and rented a boat for the week to do some fishing. He was out today putting around when some wires under the dash fell on his leg.
  22. Bags Self Draining

Dude! I have a small leak that I just haven't been able to track down, all of the usual suspects are bone dry. I didn't even think to check that guy! It fits in such a weird space with all sorts of sharp things. Guess I'll be checking that this evening.
  23. Bags Self Draining

It's the Bongo method. Buy 1 bottle of Patron. Drink 1 bottle of Patron. Use Patron cork to stop siphon.
  24. RI 257 hour meter operation

My 07 Avy used to be if the ignition was on. I took it in for service and they left it on all weekend, made me sick. My 15 is only if the motor is running.
  25. Wipe out pic and videos

    HAHAHA! "What happened?"
