What's the strap going across the dude's foot here?
-
Exactly. Have fun with whatever brand you get and convincing everyone on whatever board you jump to that it's the greatest boat out there. We'll sure miss it here.
-
And when friends don't see eye to eye, they don't go running to the internet to post about it. There are two sides and I bet they don't run to this forum to post their side. It doesn't matter what I think, it matters what you wrote. It was a douche post.

Your post alone proves that isn't true. You turn on them the second they can't come through for you and post it here. Again, shame on you.

Boatmate Centurion Trailer Fitment Inquiry
stoked replied to firescrap's topic in Centurion Boats General Discussion
Do you currently have a trailer for your Elite? If so, measure the distance between the bunks, if they match the distance between the bunks for the Typhoon, yahtzee!! -
You have the best dealer in the whole flipping country! I can go through all of your posts on this site and it would probably take 10 hands to count the number of times you personally have posted that these guys have hooked you up. They can't make a demo happen for you one time and you come on here putting them on blast saying you might switch dealers? If I was them I'd be telling you to switch because if I was as loyal to my customers as they are, I'd be hoping for a little loyalty in return. Shame on you dude, this post is douche-level posting that they don't deserve.

SV230 Boat Cover
stoked replied to Tmr1's topic in Centurion Boat Accessories, Electronics and Modifications
The newer covers have a built in strap going around them that ratchets in the back and pull the cover down to tighten it. Those are pretty much your options, a cover with a ratchet or a cover that snaps. -
Gator step/seadeck

Excellent work!!! I may do my storage areas with this, I like the way your's came out!!! My wife would KILL me if she walked in to see me with a palm router on whatever surface you were using that on! Doesn't matter if it was floor or table, it'd be the couch. -
:( Another issue, engine related hoping to get some help
stoked replied to Praesto's topic in Centurion Boat Maintenance, Performance, Troubleshooting
Did the "white smoke" have any particular smell to it? Rubber? Oil? Electrical? Did you get it instantly on startup, or after a couple of minutes? The only thing you have on that side would be the alternator, belt, and water pump, so a little curious that you had smoke on first start, then not again on a subsequent start. Maybe the repair work left a little bit of oil on the external of your engine? -
With a wave like that I don't think they need the a-plate. It's to help with the wash and he doesn't appear to have any!
-
I'll start us off, snapped a nice panoramic putting the boat away at sunset this past weekend
-
You can, but it still won't compare with all of the weight that is missing from that area. No seats, no large ski locker, just the driver. I had a walkthrough Avy and it was a BEAST to get a goofy wave dialed in. I had 2000lbs of fat sacs on the walkthrough and on the floor, 580 under the walkthrough, a brick on the swim platform, and even a "surf gate" system and still couldn't clean it up. The only thing that worked was that I learned to ride switch, the regular wave was amazing: The A-plate did help though. And to be fair it all did work out for me, it was the fuel I needed to convince the wife we NEEDED an FS33...

Well look at that, the one that actually has Centurion in the name... I'll be ordering them today! thanks! -
^^ I have a brand new set of these I'll sell you! ^^ I ordered them for my wife's SC a couple of years ago and she didn't like them because they didn't match her color scheme...

Off topic fuel mileage question
stoked replied to park6361's topic in Centurion Boats General Discussion
I say keep the truck until it dies and invest the money. A conservative investment will average around 6% a year, you'll make almost $1500 in three years at that rate, but probably do better with something more aggressive putting you closer to 10K+ at 3 years versus the depreciation of a vehicle that will leave you with negative money. My disability money from the VA goes straight to investment without a second thought. -

What font style did you use for the "Centurion font" -
Let me know if you're ever in MD (annapolis area). We have two SCs, a Hanu and a Voodoo, along with a bunch of other non-customs. I'm not familiar with the NEO, but when you say two smaller fins, do you mean twinzers? If so I'm interested that you feel it is faster without them.

downfire covers are a centurion thing, your dealer should be able to help with them

How do you like my wave?
stoked replied to synergytogo's topic in Centurion Boats General Discussion
You have an RI, the RIs respond way better to the quicksurf than the SVs and FSs do. QS is going to respond better to a (near) evenly listed boat, the SVs and FSs respond better to a listed boat. We don't touch QS unless we want to play around with transfers, the wave is about half of the height of regular listing. Delayed convergence is one piece of the puzzle, it can make a pretty wave but without displacement, it's nothing (ie. a surfgate wave). Your RI's free board is silly sick compared to an SV/FS's, so you get to displace more while adding more delayed convergence which is superstar. Since the free board isn't as large on the SV/FS, we're unable to displace enough to make the QS functional to your level and thus not the best wave that the boat can produce. Of course all of this is my opinion and may not be the actual explanation, it's just what I deduce. -
Did your bilge pump run at all in that period? That's a heck of a siphon
-
My fear would be the random early breaking wave, imagine getting slammed onto a platform before being tossed under a wave.

This surfing day was brought to you by Hyperlite, ride it when you don't know what you're doing, don't when you do:

You're definitely going to want no less than 3/4" clearance, anything less and you're risking gel goat damage which then puts you in metal plate territory, which then puts you in 14" prop territory. I ran the 2279 and it was 1/2" clearance on my 33, which should have identical clearance on your 44, and I was starting to see some damage. I dropped down to the 2079 last year and we're running solid now. Volzalum had a 44 that came with a stock 2279 and he ended up with hull damage and had to have a metal plate installed and now has to run a 14" prop: There are a lot of threads on this, Jester's testing will be the most informative: Some more good information: TL;DR Take the 2279 off ASAP before you cause long term damage, get the 2079

PCM 409 oil change issues
stoked replied to Sfb330's topic in Centurion Boat Maintenance, Performance, Troubleshooting
Holy smokes, 5 gallons of oil!! You need to set up an oil rig on that thing
