New Westland boat cover for 2003 Ski Centurion Eclipse/Cyclone V-Drive with Proflight Swoop Tower I bought this cover from Great Lakes Skipper on Ebay for $400, thinking it would fit an Elite-V, but it was a few inches short. $200 +shipping

    $200.00

  3. Our new 238 is nearly done. Here are a few pictures from the factory.
  4. S238 Build Pics

So last week I was sitting in Texas wishing my boat would hurry up and come from California. Wouldn't you know it, today I am stuck in California, while my boat has arrived in Texas.
  5. S238 Build Pics

The EX3 - you can't go wrong with the tried and true 350 Chevy. There is no way the H5 is worth the money. Maybe the H6. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. S238 Build Pics

Thanks guys. Ken, I'm in for the Secret Spot. It's been too long - we should try to put something together. Here's a few more pics
  7. Surf setup

I was told by someone that's been running a 238 since last year that they run all the ballast full and then also put an extra 500 lb of pop bags under the seat on the side you are surfing.
  8. Centurion Plant Tour

Looks nice! That's my new Supreme in the background of your second pic (yesterday).
  9. My pylon won't "catch" to the retracted position. I've removed the whole thing by taking out the allen bolt on bottom, but I cannot figure out how this thing went together. Anyone every dealt with this?
  10. No, I put a couple of 24" pipewrenches on it and couldn't get it apart. I gave up and put it back on the boat and then took it to the dealer and traded it in! J/K - that's not the reason I traded it in, but either way, its not my problem anymore.
  11. On my SV230, I was going to put Enzo sacs this year and the only way it would work is to lengthen the fuel fill lines. That stuff is expensive, so measure exactly how much you need!
  12. That is a Metcraft tower isn't it? I had issues on a Malibu Metcraft tower with the swivel bushings getting loose. I found the parts at McMaster Carr - www.mcmaster.com
  13. Look under Marine Engines > New Base Marine Engines http://www.michiganmotorz.com/350ci-vortec-base-marine-engine-1996current-replacement-p-109.html All you have to do is transfer your intake, exhaust, distributor, alternator, etc. It comes with the oil pan, timing cover, water pump, harmonic balancer - which is a lot more than a typical long block.
  14. Yes, that is NEW, and it is a marine engine.
  15. Looks like Pro 60's
  16. $2800 for a NEW long block from michiganmotorz.com. I got one from them a couple of years ago and it worked out well.
  17. Yep, I've twisted every which way. It worked fine up until a few months ago.
  18. 2000 centurion eclipse v drive

I may have what you need. It is a brand new cover in the box that says its for a 2003 Centurion Eclipse w/Proflight Tower. I ordered it on eBay thinking it would fit my Elite-V, which apparently is a completely different boat.
  19. FAE Alternative

Word of caution on the turn-down tips: Be careful to never cut your engine while still in backward motion, like backing into a slip. I had a situation where I hydro-locked the engine. In my case the engine was running hot and died while in motion, which may have made things worse. Either way, a Malibu mechanic told me it was not uncommon with the turn downs.
  20. My kids are excited to hear there will others. Ken, you had better get some sleep there Gramps, or you will be passing out when the kids do. BTW, we are also bringing Ducky (another 40 year-old kid)
  21. We have two cabins booked and we'll be bringing the boat, even though the new engine is not even broke-in yet. Looking for the UPS man to deliver a new prop, fat sacs, and a few other things before Friday. Hopefully it will come together at the last minute, and I am sure it will still be ok if it doesn't. We will be bringing a Red Tide and Scamp - both good for little kids or riding with kids - and we are bringing those too 1 - 11 years-old, 2 x 13 years-old. Looking forward to seeing the few we already know and meeting the ones we don't!
  22. New Member Intro!

Hello crew, I have been lurking around here from time to time and I figure it's time I introduce myself before I show up for the the Crew Weekend coming up in a few days. A few months ago I bought a 1999 Elite V with a cracked block. Since then, we have already rebuilt the transmission, replaced the engine, and nearly put enough break-in hours on it to start loading it down. Stand by for the pics!
