SOUnds like you are starting to get it figured out. Like i said before, bow weight always seemed to kill our wave too. We never had to put 450 behind the driver, I'd just fill the pro ballat part way before i set another sac on the seat. It would be great to see your wave, can you post some photos?

New or used? -
I only filled the Quick fill on both sides. PNP only fill on surf side. darksider.... yes thats the same Tommy. Thats how I know him, was through snowboarding. HE got 3rd at worlds in like 2009 or 2010 something like that. Hes the one that got us all into skimming up here in MN. Great guy!

I had a 2012 SV233 that i just sold. However, we ran it similar to the weight that you referred to in post #19. Fill up both Quickfill tanks, then fill the PNP, and the Pro Ballast on the side you are riding. If i had 2-3 people that were in the boat then I also ran a 750 on the REAR BENCH seat and had it positioned towards the side that we are surfing. That was a great wave!! If you get the little "secondary lip" that forms on the middle of the wave then you need to add a little more weight to the non-surf side of the boat to reduce the lean. OR of course you can take away some weight on surf side, but who wants to do that? You can see my wave in part of this movie so you can see what it looks like when we get it dialed. We used a few different boats in the movie, but Trevor Grindlands part at the end was almost entirely filmed with that set up. Also, your wake plate setting will be different depending on if you skim or surf. We usually run the plate at 62% when skimming and 25% when surfing to steepen up that wave. Everyone has their own way of doing it, but at least now you have an idea of what works for a few guys.

What are your expected dates to be in Minnesota? I own a shop in Alexandria, MN and we might be able to help get something lined up. -
The big difference between the bomb pop and the signature is that the bomb pop is a little looser than the sig. I personally like to do a variety of tricks like 360, airs, reverses....stuff like that. I am not a soul surfer so take that into consideration. BUt i thought that the bombpop was just a little loose, and i skim more than i surf. I had to play with some different fins and remove the twinzer fins to get the feel that i want. SO you should play with different fin set ups once you get a board to make it ride to your liking. You will more than likely be happy with the bomb pop or the SIg. I love the sig and many, many people who ride my SIg with the futures F4 flex fin really llike the ride. ALso, if you go the surfboard warehouse, they have a program called finatic where you can basically rent fins month by month so you can try before you buy. I hope that helps. BUt nothing beats getting your feet on the board.

@dreamer... Your wave looks long. It's hard to judge on video with different andgles and all. IT doesn't look like it has much for steepness tho? The angle where he is out from the side makes the wave appear like its larger than that direct, behind the boat view. I think you'd get that steepness with that weight on the rear seat like i do. In my 2004 enzo we ran a enzo sac and a 750 sac across the back seat (2200 lbs) SO your math adds up to what i had in that boat as well. I guess I could also fill the rear driver ballast on the boat, but its actually faster to fill that bag on the seat. That's why I go with the seat bag. In our vid too, we are riding behind 5 different boats. so what you might think is a boat load of people and 3000lbs isn't my boat. I will say that the upgrade from 04 to 2012 was awesome! The power i get on the PCM is so nice and the fuel economy seems better as well. Anyways, go drive one and see what you think. BUt if you want that wave really cranking then set it up like i mentioned and you'll be happy! I'm selling my 2012 in spring and getting the 2013 sv233! -

The set up that i reffered to with nearly 300lbs is actually when we ride with one rider, one spotter, and one driver. If i have more people in the boat we use a smaller 400 lb sac on the seat to adjust for extra people. And if we get enough people in there we use no sac on the seat. Just replace it with people. A majority of my riding is done with only 2-3 people since we can get away with no spotter in MN in lieu of a mirror. Basically its the 3000lb mark that gets that good wave. The lockers are smaller on the 2012 for sure, but they add ballast tanks under the floors in the rear. So you are getting good weight distribution. I also had a 2004 enzo 230. Took a while to get that wave figured out. IF you want it perfect AND large, then your prolly going to have to run a sac on the seat. Just part of surfing with a smaller crew. -
Here's how we do our 360's in MN. Might even find a 720 in there.

We fill the factory quick fill on both sides (500 each side), then i fill the midship on port side(700), and I fill the pro ballast on the port side as well(500). Then we put a 750 sac on the rear seat so its arranged left to right, not front to back. Its the best set up I have found for skimming on my boat. Wake plate around 50-68% depending on how many guys in the boat. -

Proper weight for 2012 Enzo 233 for surfing?
Faction1 posted a topic in Centurion Boats General Discussion
I seem to be getting a small lip, or bump in my wake when i load up the boat with the stoack tanks, the pro ballast, and the plug and play. ANyone have the "proper" weight arrangement for this boat so i can get rid of that little lip in the middle of the wake? Very picky on my wake and this boat is a little different than my 04 enzo 230 as far as weight placement. Thanks! -
Things you dislike about Centurions....
Faction1 replied to dezul's topic in Centurion Boats General Discussion
I just got a new Enzo 233 and the ballast timing is really a hassle until you reset it. IMO ,they need to talk to some team riders and get this dialed in at factory. I just want a simple override of the system where I can fill the bags and look at the, and know they are full. I don't need a computer screen to tell me that. -
Why does everyone think thats awesome? I think it's a gimmick to get you to talk about their boats... Mission accomplished. There's no real value right now in wake surfing for this. Everyone rides with more than factory weight so this doesn't apply to 90% of surfers. Plus if Malibu was serious about surfing they might want to sponsor a contending wake surfer to show their support of the sport. IMO I think it's whack that they actually say its the first wake transfer ever( please see drew ride). How about coming out with a hull that surfs like a centurion?

Need advice on pulling wife surfing
Faction1 replied to bobback's topic in Watersports & Related Gear
Making the wake smaller usually helps as well. Just so it doesn't push the rider so hard when they go over it
