  1. Hey Guys, Not usre if anyone can help but I seem to have a caitation issue at high load (pulling a tube) on left hand turns. Anyone know if this could be just an adjustment on the cavitation plate or what might be causing this? No problems running with a skier or boarder (too slow anyway in this case). Thanks for nay help you might be able to lend.
  2. Thanks, already in the works on the cable. I saw a good writeup on another site about removing hte rudder and repacking so I am going to follow that outline. Weird that after 2 days I haven't heard back from Centurion. Are they usually slow to respond to web form inquiries?
  3. Hey Guys, Need some input here. I just bought a 89 Falcon that has been sitting for some time (relieved when it finaly fired off today) but the rudder was so stiff that you couldn't move the wheel. I pulled the rear deck and took a look and the packing nut was unwound all the way up to the rudder connection point. I tightened down the packing nut a turn (the lock nut is three threads further down and the rudder moves now. Not real soft and easy but it moves. I need to lube things up and check the cable but the through hull connection is only packing right no grease or does it have any lubrication? I can't seem to find any info on this boat anywhere (just sent a note to Centurion asking for help) but I presume that the packing on this rudder is sealed tighter the harder the nut is tightened down is this correct? Do you adjust this like you do a wet packing gland with a slight drip or do you just tighten it down until it stops the water but doesn't bind the rudder? As you can tell I am eager for input to know what I am doing before hitting the water this summer. Thanks in advance for your help!
  4. Hey there gang... Thanks for the forum as it looks that you guys have a lot of info that you are willing to share which is great. Reminds me of the Mercedes forum I used to visit a lot. This is my first foray into the Centurions, just sold my '74 Nautique and I have loads of questions about various things including stuff like fuel capacity etc. It does not appear that there are many resources for info on this boat although the Indmar site is pretty decent with teh manuals. I luckily have some really good info on my old Nautique so I can pull some of the 351 info from those manuals although it was a PCM motor, but does anyone know how you can find more info on this specific boat? Just basic stuff even would be helpful like is this boat fitted with a wet packing, I am pretty sure as it has no water hose leading to it but just trying to figure everything out. Maybe other owners out there that I can exchange some emails with? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide and look forward to hitting the water this year with the new (old) ride...
