  1. FAE Alternative

I put them on my avalanche and took them off and put an FAE on. They didn't work for me for surfing.
  2. Dry Suit Vs. Wetsuit

Oneil psycho II or if you have the money go Patagonia. Their stuff is amazing.
  3. Dry Suit Vs. Wetsuit

I personally hate drysuits. I really love the newer technology of wetsuits, your skin really doesn't get wet. You can move better etc... There is a reason zero ocean surfers use dry suits, unless they are in the artic or alaska:)
  4. Put a surf flap or wave flap on that boat and I bet the wave would be super clean.
  5. Call acme, have them send you a 5 blade to test. Wave is weirdly cleaner, rpms are lower, fuel consumption is lower, boat sounds less like it struggles. I got the acme 2133 14.00x 13.5VL5B 1.125. With 4k in ballast or so, I can go as fast as I want. Like past 20 mph. With the old prop (best on the market according to acme for my boat) i could barely go 13.5. I drank the snake oil and honestly I like it. Give it a try, the let you test for free!
  6. I did testing for Acme and their 5 blade props. They don't believe it should work better. But honestly give it a try. It's night and day better on my boat. Maybe its snakeoil, but I am a believer.
  7. Volvo Forward Drive

I wonder if a simple fin or something in front of the drive would solve most issues. I know old tug boats and such had them. Or even just a prop gaurd. Still, it's a very neat idea.
  8. When I went to a 5 blade prop I saw a huge drop in rpms and fuel use. Maybe try a 5 blade from acme?
  9. Drew Daniello signs with Nautique

The nautique nss wave is pretty great for a skimmer. Lots of push but not super tall. But I bet it was about money. As most things are:)
  10. I would remove as many hoses as possible or backflush. Do you have a sea strainer?
  11. My last boat had that issue and the transmission cooler was full of wood chunks. It's a bit of a pinch point in the cooling system. I would start there and if you can install a strainer if it doesn't already have one. I doubt the problem is related to ballast. I bet it's something wrong with your cooling system. If you think it's the thermostat you could always pull it off and run the boat. See if the boat stay too cool or not.
  12. Interesting idea, seams to be more like the supra and the mastercraft tabs. I bet more will be out before the summer.
  13. Storing outdoors

Our fairgrounds does the same. 150 for the whole winter.
  14. Here is a link to my install. Only thing that has changed is spring loaded check valves on the empty pumps. This keeps water from letting out slowly while surfing. http://www.tigeowners.com/forum/showthread.php?14787-Duffy-s-2005-24v-wakesurfing-mod-thread
  15. I still have a bunch of 1-1/2 parts and 1" parts. If you want anything email me. duffymahoney@hotmail.com
