  1. Weighting a Falcon

No kidding. Thats the first thing I noticed as well...trunks and blue water. I have no experience with that specific boat, and I always hate judging from a picture, but here is my advice. I hear that boat needs a lot of weight because of the hull. Given the wave in that particular picture it appears you may need more weight. That would be my suggestion. There are ton of guys on here with that boat...hopefully one of them can help. It does look rideable though. Can you feel your toes yet????
  2. Gaston Lake, NC

    Sweet.
  3. Gaston Lake, NC

Eleven, I imagine its pretty tough getting your boat out of the back of that cove if the lake is low. If you guys need a pull, let me know if you see me out. 757-718-1815 Hopefully I'll be seeing you both this weekend.
  4. Lake Gaston, North Carolina

Yeah man! Just saved your number. Hope to see you guys out there!!!!
  5. faria pilot 1

Thanks David! Just placed my order and it should be on its way shortly. Thats the exact one I was looking for.
  6. faria pilot 1

I am in the exact same situation right now. This freakin guage is KILLING me. Anyone willing to post a link up to what they have purchased to replace?
  7. Loc, anytime brother! My goofy wave is just slightly worse off than my regular wave with equal weight. I and about 4 others in my crew ride it. I can get almost the same results and just as clean usually. The cyclone (without knowing what I was really getting into) has turned out to be a really decent surfing boat for its size and value. Anyways...thats enough of my rambling on that. Like most everyone will always say...test drive if you can.
  8. The center ballast is a crucial 240 lbs for surfing....dont let it fool you. I gotta be safe on my boat, most of the time I am riding with family and my little one who is only 5. You gotta play smart with your surrounding conditions as well obviously depending what kind of traffic and water you are on. I am pretty sure Jamezz has mentioned he is only weighting like that when he is in a controlled environment of sorts. Also, LOC is dead on...if you gotta make a run in chop with no one willing to ride in the bow, the center ballast does help a bit. It really has been a great first boat for me. If I am not mistaken, the Elite has the "flatter" hull which makes it need a little more weight to get things going. Not sure. Thanks Loc for the props as well
  9. Hey Man, I have a 2005 cyclone and I freakin love it. If its the same hull you really cant go wrong if primarily what you want to do is surf. Right now I am using a 750 plumbed in the corners, about 200 in lead, center ballast and some peeps and I get a really nice CLEAN wave on BOTH sides of the boat. Most of my crew is goofy and we can get it nearly just as nice on that side. I have thrown an additional 500-600 on that to make it better, but to be honest most of the time we dont even bother. The boat responds really well to minimal weight. I would say that the wakeboard wake leaves a little on the table though, but it sounds like that isnt much interest to you. I dont know much about the elite, or if its better. I really feel like for a small boat, the cyclone is a great value. I love mine. This pic is decent, and obviously pics dont always speak the truth, but its one of my favorites. Remember, I am not running enzo sacs and all that jazz that most of these guys are. (although its a thought) I hate posting pics sometime because it leaves so much room for judgement.
  10. Lake Gaston, North Carolina

Hey is Wobble island the same as Stagger island, or is that a complete coincidence? I know where Wobble is.
  11. Lake Gaston, North Carolina

David, I will definitely be looking for you guys. I remember I looked up where you were staying and I know where thats at, but where the heck is Stagger Island? My gut says, I would know it if I saw it...just dont know the name. Can you google earth it or something and post it up? I really look forward to seeing you guys down there. Looks like we will be in town Thursday night through Monday afternoon. (along with all the other yahoos!)
  12. Which Wakesurf Board?

Dude, I want to say that Boardersmall has those IS Blue Lakes for less than $400 on closeout on an older model quad. Check them out. Thats about as cheap as you are gonna get em.
  13. New Video footage...

Hey guys, Thanks for the above props on the video. It was a fun time for sure working on it. Yeah I remember specifically looking at the different waves we put off on that goofy side that day. VBB's boat is capable of putting off an incredible wave...I have seen it. To be honest we had stock ballast and I think a 400 on the starboard seat. If I had to take a wild guess it was just weight distribution....we had like 11 people on the boat that day and in between sets we were moving all around if I remember correctly. His Port wave is usually a lot better than goofy...imagine that Its all about good times and with that many on the boat we were more concerned about everyone getting a good set in...I dont think we messed with perfecting too much that day.
  14. Wake Surfer Dealer

Damn skippy man! Right now I am looking for a new board as well and I am super torn on which direction I am headed...basically because I haven't ridden them. I go between a Walker Project, and a Phase 5 weekly. Everytime I think I have my mind made up for some reason, someone comes a long, talks junk about how great their favorite ride is and I go right back on the fence. We ride a yellow now, but I am dying to try a Prop, Oogle, and a Bullet. I am interested in finding out what happens with this. Keep me/us informed. I think you have my number still!
  15. New Centurion Dash

Kevin, Gotcha...tells you how much I know. No worries thinking about the negatives on this new feature honestly. I am sure after a year or two its going to be a bit "want" on everyone's list. BTW, I read on WW that the nautique LCD does have GPS functionality. Maybe this one does too? Not sure if anyone every really knew for sure if it didnt. Sounded like more of an assumption than anything I guess.
