  1. Can I pull the codes with a standard vehicle scanner?
  2. I have a 2012 C4 Avalanche with the PCM drive train. Last fall it starting giving a beeping alarm every minute. It is not a continuous alarm like overheating or low oil pressure. It just beeps then quits for a minute and then does it again. I looked in the manual and could not find anything, but after researching on the internet it seams that it is probably a low fluid level sensor. I have checked all the fliuds (engine, transmission, and v-drive). All fluids are at or just above the full mark. My local dealer is no longer a dealer for Centurion and it is almost 400 miles to the next dealer. I really dont want to pull the boat 800 miles round trip to have sensor replaced. I am very mechanical and capable of replacing if I can figure out which sensor it is. Anyone have any advice on what to check?
  3. Thanks guys. I am planning on learning to surf. I am getting old and like the ideal of low impact. I have the factory sacs, I hope that is enough. I am sure we will continue to ski and board. I have had a 2002 Crownline LPX with a tower and 305/Volvo Duo Prop for the last 5 years. Something tells me this is going to be a big step up!
  4. Ordered it back in September, it came in late in November. Just now getting around to taking some pics. Bought it from Smith RV and Marine in Clovis, NM. They have been great. Cant wait for summer to get here and put it on the water!
  5. What is a great end of season deal?

Well it is officially on order. Thanks for the cudos. I had not seen the tread on building a boat or I would have got in on it! I put it on a blue trailer with black pin stripping. It might have looked better on black, but just wanted to add some additonal color.
  6. What is a great end of season deal?

Well, I agree on the posts about going with a great local dealer. That said I am ordering a completely loaded Ava C4 from my local dealer, Smith RV and Marine. I have to say Kevin Smith is one of the best guys I have ever dealt with. He is going to order me exactly what I want and really went the extra mile to get to a price I could live with. I am spending a bit more than I wanted, but by the time I bought a left over 2011 from a long distant dealer, then put the extras on it, went and got it or had it shipped, then had it wrapped, because I could not find one with colors we liked, I would have spent within a couple of thousand of what I can order 2012. I have to have the colors to him by tomorrow. I think it will be white deck, blue main hull, white ovation stripe, black ovation main, black running surface, and black tower. Standard logo, grey/silver with blue perf interior. Here is a link to the boat builder pic of it http://www.centurionboats.com/boat-share.html?recall_id=1316575839 Tell me what you think....good or bad.
  7. I got mine for 55k. It is pretty much loaded.

  8. Do you mind me asking what a great deal is? I see the Avs priced from 52 to 76 for the same basic boat.

    Thanks

  9. What is a great end of season deal?

That does look like a great deal. I know it has several dollars in extras a new boat wont have. But I think I want to go 2010 or newer. I wouldn't mind it being used with low hours. I like the new tower design much better. I see a few 2011 listed for 53K-54K so for less than 10K differance I would buy new. I have found a 2012 that is one of the color schemes I had considered ordering, but I think there was a 5K or so price increase on the 2012's. Also found a 2011 that was not one of the colors I would have ordered, but a beautiful boat. They have it listed for $54995. Are there any dealers that are known for giving the best deal? I am a member on the corvette forum and there are dealers that post on there that are known for cutting deals other dealers wont. Any dealers like that for Centurions? I am located in Oklahoma but would travel for a great deal on the right boat.
  10. I sold my crownline lpx a couple of weeks ago to a good friend. It was a great looking boat that was a lot of fun....but it is time to move up. I thought I had narrowed it down to a Malibu or a Mastercraft, but after looking at and researching the Centurion, I think they are a better buy. Basically I can get a new Centurion for the same money as a used Malibu or MC. I would like to go with the SV230 or SV230+, but I just can't see spending the 15K over an Ava. I have found a couple of Ava's on boattrader. Seams mid to high 50's is the posted price. I am all about a good deal. I have nothing to trade and can pay cash (no financing). So what do you think would be a smoking deal for this time of year?
