  1. Bow speakers can be done in a Falcon V. There was a bit of controversy over it back in the day. Here is a link. http://www.centurioncrew.com/index.php/topic/5832-can-i-install-xs-650s-in-the-bow-of-a-2010-falcon-v/?hl=+bow +speakers +falcon
  2. Falcon V Ballast Setup

I should add. You need to duct tape the vent on the surf side to prevent water getting in.
  3. Falcon V Ballast Setup

We have changed our set up since the last time I posted. We use a wakeshaper I made myself, fill both factory tanks, put a 400lb sac in the rear port locker, have the 1,100 in the starboard with 250lbs of lead, another 250 lbs of lead behind the driver seat, and a 400lb sac in the bow. We flip it for the regular side but only need a 750 in the port and the 400 in the starboard. No bags on the seats and both waves are excellent. My wife surfs around 10.6 and I surf around 11.2. we love our boat. Check it out. https://vimeo.com/232361760
  4. Heading to Lake Ouachita Arkansas in the morning for a week of houseboating and surfing.

  5. Your boat doesn't have a cap and rotor so i would definitely not trust the dealer. $170 per hour could get expensive if they don't know what they are looking for.
  6. Had one of the best days surfing ever. Finally have the wave dialed in using the suckgate I made. It was just my wife and I in the boat. We had 250lbs of lead in the starboard locker with the 1,100lb Fat Sack full, both hard tanks full, another 250lbs of lead behind the drivers' seat, a 750lb Fat Sack in the port locker not quite filled all he way, and a 400lb Fat Sack on the floor in the bow. No sacks on the seats. Put the suckgate as low in the water as it would go and as far back. The lead has been a huge improvement. Here is some video we took at the end of the day.
  7. 50lbs bags of lead

I ordered some from Wakeballast. There is a crew deal for $15% off. I placed the order on Wednesday last week and they are scheduled to arrive on Thursday. Great communication so far.
  8. I ordered 500lbs of 'lead' - which I realize is actually steel. Has anyone had a problem with it rusting? I don't want to stain the carpet.
  9. 'Lead'. Does it rust?

Thanks. I ordered them from Wake Ballast. Got the crew deal.
  10. Wipe out pic and videos

Haha. I told her to stop because the guy in the other boat - who I didn't realize was a friend at the time - was waiving his arms around like a mad man.
  11. ....I think it was actually the red one I use https://www.goldeagle.com/product/iso-heet-fuel-line-antifreeze-injector-cleaner
  12. Wipe out pic and videos

Had a friend waive at us from another boat and thought he was telling us to stop. Should have coordinated with my wife who was driving better. Lol
  13. That happens to ours if we don't duct tape the fuel cap. I think it's water getting in the fuel. I added a product called Heet https://www.goldeagle.com/product/heet-gas-line-antifreeze-water-remover that took care of it the last couple times it happened.
  14. Ok does 'regulars' mean goofy footers not apply or show up regularly we'll be here?
  15. You can calibrate the Provision using a smart phone GPS speed app. Is your brother listing the boat still? We still listed ours just not as much. Removed a 400lb sack from the surf (goofy) side, filled the 250lb tank on the opposite side and filled a 750lb sack in the opposite side rear locker to about 3/4 full. We had about 1,750lbs on the surf side and about 850lbs on the opposite side. We used to have 2,150lbs on the surf side and none on the opposite side.
  16. I put it right below the 'Falcon V' emblem.
  17. Wave with the suckgate. Different perspective than the last video but I think you can see how much it cleaned it up.
  18. I cut about 2 and 1/2 inches off mine and drilled some holes in it. It was creating too much drag before. The wave was so much fun today. It had plenty of push and a lot more surface to ride. I'll post some video when I get a chance. Such a fun mod. Thanks for all of the info.
  19. We are never satisfied. Were you around for the 'Ski Fin on the Trim Tab' or the 'Duffy Mudflap' mods?
  20. Here's the wave without the gate. We just want to clean it up a bit...
  21. Haha I should follow your lead a just buy a new damn boat!
  22. I made a gate based on the pics and info in the thread for our Falcon V - which we have dialed in the goofy wave pretty well but with a lot of weight and a lot of list. I filled our 1100 pound bag in the the starboard locker like we usually do and a 750 pound bag in the port locker and had the two hard tanks full. We also put about 400 to 500 pounds in a bag in the bow. I got the boat up to 10.4 and the wake was just a washy mess with no wave at all forming. We had some friends with us and didn't want to spend too much time so I went back to our regular listed set up and left the gate on the boat. It was shocking how much the thing cleaned up the wave but it lost most of its push and the boat could only get to between 9.6 and 10 mph. The face of the gate is 11 3\4 " by 7 3\4" and set at 90 degrees. I'm thinking I made the thing too big. Any suggestions on modifying it? Should I drill holes or cut it? Maybe change the angle? I unfortunately do not have any pics or video.
  23. That was me riding in that video. My buddy, who I didn't know was on the lake, was standing in the bow of the boat he was on waving one arm in the air. I luckily only glanced off the stern. Same friend tore a stomach muscle trying to slalom ski two weeks before. We are thinking of ways to ban him from the lake.
  24. When a friend shows up and starts waving at you to say 'hi' but you don't realize it's a friend and you think something is wrong so you say "hey I think that guys wants us to stop" but all you wife hears is "Stop" and you are looking at the guy waving and not the boat...only a bruised knee. Wear you life vests!
  25. I have the PCM 343 and it takes less than an hour. It's easy there are videos on YouTube that will show you. Be careful of what dealers want to charge. This site has everything you need to DIY just about everything on your boat.
