  1. DarksideR, sorry to revive such an old thread, but I'm running into the exact same issue as you. 2015 SV233 with Maximus Tower. Two 4 pin connectors on the Port Side for Tower Speakers. One 4 pin connector on the Starboard side for Tower Lights (Anchor, Speaker, Courtesy & Ground). I can NOT find the "Aft Tower Lights" wire ANYWHERE!!! It's driving me crazy. Did you ever find it on your boat?

  3. Wanted to thank all who posted to this thread. It helped a lot. The steering on my 2002 Avalanche had become so stiff that it took 2 hands and a lot of muscle to turn at all. I pulled out the SSC13418 (18 foot Teleflex) that was in the boat and replaced it with a SSC15419 (19 foot Teleflex Extreme). The extra foot helped make a nice soft radius up at the helm and the Extreme cable is amazing. Steering is now buttery smooth, it wasn't this nice the day I bought the boat. Truly fingertip steering. Took about 3 hours to install start to finish which wasn't too bad. Most difficult part was to get under the engine to the 1 1/8" nut holding the cable into the 'tube'. Had to remove the water pump hoses to access it and that helped a lot. Took the center tunnel cover off and routed the cable up an out the helm side, then reversed the process for the new one. I found it was easier to fish by hand with the tunnel opened up rather than using the rope trick (too many other things were in the way like gas line, battery cable, throttle, etc.) Wish i had done this a long time ago....Also, found my cable from help with another post on this site. Used MarineEngine.com, cost $150 plus $10 flat shipping. Came in 2 days. Very pleased...it's going to be a joy to drive the rest of the season.

Here are some Pics of it finished. Turns out Lexan is really easy to work with. You can cut, drill and sand it like wood. Then hit the sanded areas with a torch real quick and it glosses right up. I was able to do all this at home with a table saw, sander and drill. Worked really well. Ended up just doing a 1" finger hole instead of the handle as this was much easier to do and i don't mind the look.
