  1. 2015 Mojo vs 2015 SV233

Centurion and Supreme are equally outstanding boats!!! However, I decided to order the 15 Mojo for the following reasons: Boat show special - 5 year warranty and no cost upgraded auto flow surf package Raptor motor - great low end torque Features vs cost - solid value for the money Simple electronics - potentially fewer maintenance issues/concerns - time on the water is essential Dealer agreed to install 1,100 rear ballast sacs at no extra cost - they also agreed to a few other consessions Dallas Moomba/Supra boat dealer - very good reputation - they also carry the Cobalt line As respects to the Centurion and Supreme boats, here are a few thoughts: Centurion's cost was more than I wanted to invest - two kids in college Supreme 226's style was not as appealing to me - no disrespect, we're all different Dallas Centurion/Supreme dealer has a great reputation Again, Centurion and Supreme are outstanding boats I apologize for a few of my earlier posts. I frequent this forum often and value member's insights. Looking forward to warmer weather!!!
  2. 2015 Mojo vs 2015 SV233

Take off the googles bro - pleas be objective. With 1,100's in the rear lockers the wave will improve. I test drove centurions and extra weight was also required. Don't be such a puss!
  3. 2015 Mojo vs 2015 SV233

Here are two short videos of the Moomba auto surf on a 2015 Mojo. Although the stock ballast surf wake looks good, added weight in the rear lockers will help. Watch the videos in HD mode. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j6VBmTaqARU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tyxmhcm2NgM
  4. I'm a former 06 Tige 24V owner. Now, I'm looking for a replacement boat without breaking the bank. We wake surf, wake board, ski and tube - in that order. We boat at Lake Texoma, TX. This week, I took a 2015 Moomba Mojo with the flow surf package for a spin. This boat has outstanding power and a smooth ride. The surf wake was good. However, I think 1,100 pounds in each rear locker would help. Overall a very nice boat especially for the money. Today, I took a 2015 Centurion Enzo SV233 for a spin. RAM fill, CATS and extra bags in the rear lockers. Great boat - great wake - costly. A friend also suggested I consider a 2015 MB B23. However, I know nothing about this boat or brand. Thoughts???
  5. 2009 Centurion Typhoon C4

Thanks Flag Holder. I'm visiting with your cousin about his boat. Paul
  6. Earlier I posted on this forum seeking advice on the following boats: 1) 2010 Supra SSV 24 Worlds Edition 2) 2012 Malibu Wakesetter 23LSV 3) 2013 CENTURION ENZO SV233 4) Tige Z3 I indicated that our family will use the boat for the following in order of preference: 1) Wake surfing (70% if the time) 2) Wake boarding 3) Water skiing 4) Tubing Today, I noticed a 2009 Centurion Typhoon C4 for sale on this forum. A few questions about this model include: 1) How is the surf wake - the boat has added ballast? 2) Is the 330 hp motor adequate for this boat? 3) How does this boat compare to an enzo 233? Thanks. Paul
  7. I'm evaluating the following boats: 1) 2010 Supra SSV 24 Worlds Edition - 450 HP 39 hours 2) 2012 Malibu Wakesetter 23LSV - 410 HP - 123 hours 3) 2013 CENTURION ENZO SV233 - 343 HP - 3 hours 4) Tige Z3 - I haven't identified a year or specific boat I'm trying to limit my investment to between $60,000 and $65,000. Boats 1 - 3 are within this range. Our family will use the boat for the following in order of preference: 1) Wake surfing 2) Wake boarding 3) Water skiing 4) Tubing I'll buy a boat before the end of this season. Any insight and/or experience with the above brands/models would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Paul
  8. 2013 Supreme V226

Thanks Lakerat. I really appreciate your feedback. Assuming I move forward with the 226, I'll ask your advice regarding additional surf sake and how best to solicit the dealers help with the instalation. Take care. Paul
  9. 2013 Supreme V226

I had a ballast system installed in my 06 Tige 24V - costly, but worth the money. Before the system was installed, I used a tsunami pump and Enzo bag - pain in the a_ _. I appreciate the reasoning why the manufacturers don't install enough ballast at the factory - makes sense. Since the V226 is already plumped for ballast, perhaps it won't be too difficult to add sacs to the existing tanks. Thanks again. Paul
  10. 2013 Supreme V226

I read the thread regarding the 2013 hard tank ballast system on the 13 - V226. Candidly, I don't have the time to modify a boat's ballast system. If the stock wake surf ballast isn't sufficient, I won't buy the boat. Are there any boats that leave the factory with sufficient ballast to make a quality surf wake - Tige, Malibu, Supra, Centurion, etc? It seems like everyone manufacturer's boats are lacking! Thoughts? Paul
  11. I appreciate the feedback. I'm clearing my schedule later this week to arrange a test ride. I'll take pics of the boat and surf wake. My only initial concern is size. We go to Lake Texana - big lake / big boats. Thanks again.
  12. I posted on the Centurion section of this forum seeking advice on Centurion boat purchase - 230 & 240 Enzo's. As I continue to research my next boat purchase, I came across the Supreme V226. I found a 2013 V226 with the 6.0, 400 hp motor. The boat only has 38 hours. I'm going to call the dealer tomorrow to get a more detailed list of the boats specs/features. A few questions to Supreme boat owners: 1) How is the stock ballast surf wake? Reviews are very positive. 2) How many people can you comfortably have on the boat? I used to own a Tige 24V - good size boat. 3) How well does the boat perform with the larger motor? 4) How well does the boat handle rough water? We go to Lake Texoma - big lake/big boats. 5) Does the boat need additional ballast for wake surfing? 6) How's the wakeboard wake? 7) How's the water skiing wake? How's the fit and finish and overall boat quality? I'd also appreciate any other insight current owners could provide. From what I've learned thus far, the Supreme V226 looks like a great wake surf boat. Thanks! Paul
  13. Anyone familiar with a Supreme V226? I've been reviewing several websites and the surf wake reviews are excellent. I found a 2013 Supreme V226 with a 6.0 - 400 hp with 38 hours. Price around $52,000 Thoughts? Paul
  14. The test ride on the (11) 230 Enzo did not go well. The ballast system leaked, the bimini was not installed, there were no tower speakers and the batteries had to be replaced. I think the salesman failed to spend enough time prior to the test ride to make sure the boat was ready to go. After the test ride, the owner of the dealership showed up and apologized for the poor experience. I'm planning take another look at the boat next weekend, as the owner assured me everything would be in working order. This is a very reputable dealer, so I'm surprised everything wasn't right the first time. Several observations having driven two Centurions 230 & 240: 1) 330 hp motor is not big enough for either boat - this surprises me as my 06 Tige 24V had a PCM 343 and it had plenty of power 2) The Centurion bow rides higher in the water than my Tige 3) Centurion fit and finish is nice 4) The color schemes are sharp 5) Trailers are well made 6) Surf wake not so big, however neither boat's ballast system functioned properly - dealer issues, not Centurion 7) I prefer the size of the 240 vs the 230 - we boat at Lake Texoma and the water gets rough A quality wakesurf wake is a HIGH PRIORITY - height, length and push As respects to buying a newer boat, I'm not a big fan of credit. I like to buy newer model, gently used cars/trucks/ boats. That's not to say that I've never used bank financing, however when I finance a big ticket item, I prefer to liquidate debt ASAP. If possible, I'd like to purchase a boat before the end of summer. However, if the right one doesn't come along, I'll wait till the spring. I appreciate the continued advice - Thanks again!!! Paul
