  1. Troy. R no I didn’t contact them but ya kinda sucks cuz I have the xl Bimini. But check these out. Might work for you if you have a money tree.
  2. Has anyone found a flag mount for the Maximus tower with the XL Sewlong bimini? I found one place that has the mount but not for the XL bimini. I got to have our nation’s colors flying.
  3. Troy. R This my be a solution for you
  4. LETS SEE YOUR RIDES

Troy. R Yes the top pic was from this weekend. We spent a couple days at the Springs do to the blackout in Parker. Our house was 100 degrees Thursday night so we took a short road trip. The deep water makes bigger waves for sure.
  5. LETS SEE YOUR RIDES

Just wanted to say hello to the group and share my new ride. We purchased this 2020 Centurion FI25 a couple weeks ago. After putting about 30 hours on it we couldn’t be happier. We love all of the new tech and features on this boat Our other boat is a 2006 Enzo SV230 which we loved and used a lot but does not compare to this Fi25. The wife calls it a surf limo.
  6. New surf boat

Just picked up this beautiful 2020 FI25.
  7. Which way do you turn?

I would have to agree with the right turn. Just seems like the boat turns better for me that way, the wave helps turn the boat for you. I have a 230 Enzo and mostly surf on the regular side. The only thing that I do a little differently is I never go around the rider to pick them up. On my way back to them I head straight at them then turn to the right again and put it in neutral. Once you get the timing right the swim step ends up right in front of them. No paddling for the rope that way. When the boat goes around the rider they always have to chase the boat to get the rope since the back of the boat is turning away from them. All this is done at idle speed. Seems a lot quicker to get going again too. It works for me : p

I'm down. Love to hoist one up

  10. River trip 6-24-11

  11. Since I'm new to the sport I have a lot of questions. I've seen a lot of pics with a lot of different ropes being used. Some with handles and some without. It's time to buy those stocking stuffers so which rope is the best? Handle or no handle? What length and where to buy? I know they are only used to get going but I want to get the right gear. I'm 6'3" and 235 so I'm leaning toward the Blue Lake or Liquid Force Venture. I figure that will be a good starter board. Any suggestions?
  12. So, which surf rope?

Troy, Thanks for the suggestion, I like the free rope offer.
  13. So, which surf rope?

Great, Thanks for the info. I've seen several older Blue Lakes for sale but all were only 2 fins. I'll wait till I find a quad. A rope with a small handle makes sense. I'll put one on my Christmas list for Mama Santa. How about the vest's. Any favorites?
  14. Ok, I just got an 06 Enzo sv230 with 2 small standard hard ballast tanks in the rear. I've been reading a lot of the earlier post on ballast installs and what works for the different boats. Keeping the $ amount in mind a couple of 1,100 lb. V-drive surf sac's seem like the way to go (easy & cheaper). I'm wondering if the Enzo sacs are worth the extra money and effort. Each Enzo sac being almost the same $ as 2 surf sac upgrades with all the hardware to plumb into the stock pumps. Surf sac's are about $.23 per pound and the Enzo sac's ar $.34 per pound not including the fittings. The surf sac's seem like an easy install and the Enzo's more difficult. In the end it comes out to about $500 for an extra 700 lbs. of weight. Am I over anylizing this? Will 1,100 lbs per side plus crew be enough to form a good wave? Can the Crew deal help me justify the Enzo sac's? Thanks in advance for your help
  15. Big - Absolutely help yourself to it. I made all of the drawings on Excel and would gladly send it to you in that format if you would like.
  16. Here's all the sheets in one file. I think the manifold will fit in the V-drive/Trans. hatch in the middle back seat. Hard to tell when the boats 40 miles away. Enzo_Ballast_sys.pdf
  17. Sporty - Thanks for the tips. The only thing that bothers me about the ball valves is having to open the engine compartment every time I want to switch sides. I'm trying to figure out another place to put them thats easy to get to. I think it's still the most economical way to get 2 fill pumps to each sac. And for a quick drain 4 pumps would empty real fast. On the overflow I don't mind spending a little extra money to insure I don't damage the bag by getting distracted and forgetting about watching for the overflow or even an accidental trip of the switch. The cartridge drain pumps will be mounted in the engine compartment with a short piece of hose running to the bag. All installation of the bags, pumps and plumbing I have no doubts that I can do with ease but, the wiring of the switches is what I'm still loosing sleep over. I need to know for sure that I can wire 2 of the cartridge pumps together on one switch. Here's what I'm thinking. One switch for each of the reversable Johnsons fill/empty then add one additional switch for the cartridge pumps drain port / drain starboard. What do you guys think am I nuts
  18. Duffy - How big are your Sacs and whats the fill time using the 2 cartridge pumps? Big - See the attached Manifold Manifold.pdf
  19. Duffy - The Johnson will definetly be going both ways. Will the cartridge pumps prime themselves for filling? If so that will save me a lot of money, plus a lot easier to wire. If I run cartridge pumps all the way around can I get away with using the 2 switches that are already in the boat? One fill pump per switch and 2 drain pumps wired together per switch? See the attached drawing. Islander - Typo Oops. It should be 2 new thru hulls per side. I already have 3 thru hulls on the starboard and 2 on the port. So when I get to the storage and have another look I can firm up the parts list. I sure the third one on the starboard side is for the bilge. Big - corrections noted and will be in addendum #2. As for item #3 The 1" "T" is for the intake to the Johnsons. The 5 1" Thread > 1" Hose Barb Fitting is for the manifold not 6. The ball valves will be connected to the PVC manifold. The 2 3/4" Hose Barb "T" Fittings are for connecting the 2 overflows and the 3/4" Thread > 3/4" Hose Barb Fittings are for connecting to the cartidge pumps and the one ways if I can't find one ways that are barbed. I've found the 1" one ways with barbs but not the 3/4".
  20. DarksideR, Thats what I've been reading. That's OK, I surf facing the wave going left or right but I'm more comfortable on the darkside. Ok, Here's Addendum #1 hot off the drawing board and ready for plan check. See the attached Ballast plan and don't be shy, let me know how to make it better before I submit this for a purchase. As far as I can tell the parts list is complete but I'm probably left something out. You guys should have some kind of title like: CenturionCrew Wake Surf Ballast Engineers or something. Is there a paying job for someone with that title? Enzo_Ballast_Worksheet_np.pdf Enzo_Ballast_sys.pdf
  21. I may have to re-think that. There 292 lbs of ballast in that 27" of refreshment space. I use a large soft cooler, maybe that will have to go in the bow foot space for ballast up there. Oh ya I ride on the dark side too. Don't want to mess with that side.
  22. Smith, Thanks for the reply. The reason the leg on the port side is 45" is I will be modifying the hole to fit my soft cooler for the adult refreshments The built in cooler in the walk thru will be for the under 21 crowd. I will now make the body 52' and place the drain pumps in the engine compartment. Thanks for the tips!! Keep um coming
  23. Duffy, Thanks for the tip. That will save some money since there are 2 already attached to the stock tanks. It looks like I'll be able to pick up a couple more on ebay.
  24. Avy, The reason for the extra holes on the top of the sac is I intend on having an extra Tsunami to aid in the fill and drain. I can attach to the full one and assist the fill for the empty or over the side. So there will be 3 pumps going into the bag that why the 2 overflow are pictured. Do you think one will be ok? I should have 1 extra hole on the bag. The reason for the Johnson's is me being impatient. When draining the sac I can have 4 pumps going or the 2 Johnson's filling the other side while the Tsunami's do the draining. The ball valves are pretty cheap so the though was each fill pump will have it's own 1" line all the way to the bag. H2o, Thanks for the tip about running the vent and the drain to the other side, I never thought about that. The way the system is designed I will have 2 Johnson's to each sac to fill and drain plus the assistance of the cartridges. I'm sure the bags will drain faster than they fill. Big, Thanks for the tips. Yes the sprinkler valves look like another item to break down and cause prob's. I'll leave them for the lawn. The reason I shortened the bag is I was worried about the wiring on the Tsunami's getting jacked up with the pumps moving up and down with each fill and drain and the crew tossing them from side to side while looking for something. At the bottom they should not move much. The 4" that I trimmed off the bag is about 80 lbs (ouch). Yes I will be using the factory 1" intake at the bottom of the hull. Do you think I'll need another? The fifth valve is a great idea, that will definitely be added to addendum #1 on the plans along with the check valves and moving the drain and overflow lines to the opposite side of the boat. Will I be able to order these custom sac's through the crew deal???
