  1. Great looking boat... very clean. I have virtually the same hull but closed bow. I love the extra room of the open bow in the later model years. I've had other boats in the past and this is by far my favourite. I'm sure you'll love the boat and everyone here is super helpful with troubleshooting and mods. My boat is below to compare. .
  2. Judging by your other post about your Tach I'd start by fully charging your battery, cleaning the terminals and going from there. My perfect pass acted up prior to replacing my battery, when I called PP they told me the computer was extremely sensitive to voltage drop. Doesn't hurt to give it a shot.
  3. Teak

My 1991 has the same tread strips but the teak was replaced by plastic in later model years. I definitely think the teak looks much better as it matches the platform. Originals will be impossible to find but I'd be happy to take dimensions for you to replicate the plastic in Teak instead.
  4. I'm looking in to having mine done and the local places I've called have quoted anywhere from $125 to $300, keeping in mind my windshield is flat. You're Avy has a big curve so you'll want someone who has done boats in the past and has some talent. You can most likely get a mobile guy to come out to your boat and a 20% tint seems to be the most popular. There's a couple good threads on here that'll help if you search the forums or someone with a tinted Avy may let you know if the windshield needs to be removed to tint it.
  5. Good to hear they righted the wrong. Curious to see what it looks like when it arrives and is installed. I'm sure you were persuasive over the phone... lol
  6. I guess there's no incentive for a bigger company to do one small custom order. For 300 bones though you think they could do better than 29 days?
  7. Totally agree with H... There tends to be more weight on the right due to the driver which may cause a little bit of a lean. This is when you can give your brother in-law a hard time about his weight.
  8. 1991 Falcon

  9. I totally understand why bhrickyard needed to go the route of repaint with the stain embedded in the finish. Kriskussee - thanks for the link, some super useful information. My gelcoat isn't to the point that I think I'll have to wet sand so I'll try some cutting compound first and go from there. I've included a pic so you can see the boat (previous owner in pic btw).
  10. Work so far is looking fantastic! I'm sure it'll be well worth it one it hits the water. I bought a 1991 Falcon late last season which had some of the same issues your boat has including faded gel coat, negleted teak. My Platforn has been sanded and oiled and hopefully I can revive the gelcoat with some cutting compound and some buffing rather than paint. Keep updating, interior looks great btw...
