  1. If you get a new thermostat make sure you get the plastic housing/collar/whatever that goes with it....apparently they break really easily when you take them out.
  2. speaker whine

I don't have anything to add but I will say if you plan on buying anything from sonicelectronix that says "only 3 left" be prepared to order it and get the run around for weeks until they cancel your order. I like them but I learned the hard way that if it's almost out of stock online it already is out of stock in their inventory. I coould be wrong but when I split the remote wire from the headunit to so many devices it required a relay...that's all I got.
  3. This was my initial thought but 125 seems oddly low, true might be on to something here.
  4. Towables?

I 2nd the Jimmy Jam, I never had one but we used boogie boards and the kids loved them...kneeboards as well. The problem with the boogie boards is the rope would eventually tear through them so the Jimmy Jam is probably a better bet.
  5. Towables?

Yeah no worries, that place has tons of good deals and they're always sending out 45%, 35% off codes. Just depends on inventory...pretty slim at times and other times its great.
  6. Towables?

I second costco but sierratradingpost has a few and with their plethura of 45% and 35% coupons you can get a pretty good price. They've got some clearance wakeboards on there as well. Some for sub $200 with bindings. http://www.sierratradingpost.com/ho-sports-drifter-towable-tube-2-person~p~7667a/ $140 shipped with promo code EB071014B http://www.sierratradingpost.com/connelly-wing-two-towable-tube-2-person~p~7666h/ $100 shipped same code http://www.sierratradingpost.com/o’brien-flipside-2-towable-tube~p~6656g/ $130 shipped....this one is on clearance so no code needed. I hate tubes but the kids love them so what can you do. Have fun with the kids!!!
  7. Check your trans cooler for debris. Its basically directly above your trans/vdrive and looks like a cylinder where the water hose connects on both sides and it also has some smaller hoses that run down to the transmission. Pull the hose, where it connects to the cooler, that runs directly from the pump and you should find a grate, and random junk possibly, inside. Pretty simple. If you find rubber pieces of impeller in there then that answers your impeller question. If it's just clogged, clear it out and run it again and see if you're getting better flow. You could also check the intake on the boat to make sure it's not clogged although I've never seen that be an issue. I replace my impeller every two years and they come out looking brand new but if my boat was overheating I would definitely pull the pump and replace or at least inspect it. Good luck.
  8. I was under the impression that the IAC going bad would throw a code and the alarm would start going off....2 beeps every minute or so, at least that's what it did on mine. I didn't experience the same symptoms you're having but I'm no mechanic so you could be right. I just got the alarm but the engine didn't go into limp mode or anything and seemed to run fine. Once it was replaced it ran what I would describe as a tad bit smoother but the annoying alarm stopped so I was happy. Might not be the problem but you might check the dist cap. They get really corroded and have been known to cause a lot of issues. Anyway, good luck.
  9. If you have your serial number handy you can go to any number of websites, punch it in, and get that part and every other part number you'll ever need. Pretty nice and some of them will give you both the OEM and non OEM parts. I don't know the part number off the top of my head but I did have it replaced by a shop when I couldn't figure out why I was getting the intermittent beeps and that ended up being the problem. Looked like a very simple project to replace. Are you getting a two beeps alarm?
  10. and you're not overheating? Looks like water can get through there but you're definitely limiting the flow. Probably not going to get hot becuase that's connected directly to the intake correct...plus I don't think the v drive gets very hot to begin with. Anyway, I would definitely change it out....should be pretty simple swap.
  11. RPM linked volume?

There are some speed based apps I've seen people talk about...I assume that means you're using the device for the source but the boost box is probably your best bet.
  12. PVC obsession

Have one just like it in my garage, works great and looks surprisingly nice. Strong to, got a couple that have multiple boards until I make a new one. Also, can't beat the price.
  13. speaker wire cover for exposed wires to tower

Do you need to fold down the tower at all...if so, I used Neutrik connectors. For the sleeve the PET work/looks nice.
  14. Bad Day At The Office

I watched some cheesy video about it on Netflix. Basically it goes from 20+ feet deep, just guessing here...you get the idea, to a couple feet deep when it hits the reef almost instantly. Here's Laird Hamilton, Burkhart from North Shore , getting towed in to the craziest wave I've ever seen. Actual wave at 2:05, but multiple angles after http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pYQQtxb8wv0
  15. Enzo Overheating?

I would think if you have the manual shut off by the intake you could do it while on the water. If not, I can't say for sure but it seems like it would force water up through the intake enough to come out of the hose you disconnect from the pump...just guessing here, never been in that situation. Check the cooler first, I could see a scenario where at speed enough water could go through but at slow speed or idle it was blocked enough to not allow enough water through. I do impeller changes every two years so if you just had it changed as the end of last season I would be really surprised if it was bad. If it is, you'll likely find pieces in the trans cooler.
  16. Bad Day At The Office

"So when the wave breaks here, don’t be there . . . or you’re gonna get drilled" - Turtle, North Shore
  17. Interesting, when I hooked up my PP I had issues with the speed reading and thought it was because I has it split to 3 different guages (Pilot, Analog Speedo, and PP). I decided I would rather have the digital so I disconnected the Analog Speedo (Faria Guage) and all was good. I just figured it was because I was trying to split the signal 3 ways, which probably doesn't help and may still be part of the cause, but it kind of confirms what they said if I'm reading it correctly.
  18. What year is your boat? I saw something posted that suggested they did this but only for a few years back and then it's by chance based on inventory. Plus they're not cheap, and they weren't that great to begin with. I'm in the same spot but I'm really doubting they have any 2002 Cyclone skins
  19. Have you ever replaced it....I just did mine last year, 2002 Cyclone which is basically an eclipse. it was whining a bit and then basically wouldn't grab. Felt a little soft but seemed okay until till I got a new one and realized new they're really stiff and don't give much if at all. You don't need the merc one which are stupid expensive, the ones from autozone, or comparable, work perfectly fine. Do a search and you'll find the part number in these forums. I'll see if I can find it as well if you're interested.
  20. Freaking awesome...I want one. I also want an empty lake and glassy water, yeesh.
  21. Ceck it out...Surf Hover Board

Oh yeah, the pod...I remember that. Guess for that amount of money I would just go the wave runner route as well...either way it does look fun as heck.
  22. Ceck it out...Surf Hover Board

Okay, that looks pretty damn fun....the jet pack looked kind of meh in my opinion but I could see this being a blast for at least a little while and definitely worth an hour rental or something. I was at the lake the other day and a guy had one that connected to his feet, you see it in the video a couple times, and I didn't realize it but if you watch the video you'll notice, in certain shots, the wave runners with them....well these things use the waverunner to force the water through, it's not a self operating unit. So basically you need the jet board, whatever, and the wave runner to make it work which seemed like somewhat of a pain. I vaguely remember seeing ones without the waverunner but that may have been from using footage where you couldn't see them similiar to this video. Either way cool video and it does look like something I would want to try.
  23. When I installed my PP I merely split off the sending wire to the module and to the analog guage, before the PP module, but I can't say for certain if that's the prefered method or if that's standard when factory installed. Skibumm, you may be right about that. I assumed it was split before the module which might explain why both are having issues that could be connection based closer to the paddlewheel itself. If it normally splits off after the module than you could be spot on.
  24. In most cases your speed for both the PP and analog Speedo gauge will come from the paddlewheel so yes, it would affect both and suggests thats the issue...if you're getting nothing I'm thinking a bad connection somewhere along the line.
