  1. Update for you boys. while running the fake a lake we discovered an oil hose on the V drive was leaking real bad. = Discovered the source of no v drive oil. Replaced the hose, refilled oil, and tested again on the fake a lake. No issues. Lake Tested it today. All was good for about 15 minutes. And under 2k RPM after warming up. Got it up on plane to 20mph I think around 3k RPM and we heard a slight squeal from v drive. Then all of a sudden it literally looked like someone was blowing vape smoke out of the oil fill port. So we powered down and limped back to the dock. And got a nasty noise toward the end. took the V drive off tonight shipping it to Walter Monday. I think running it with no oil did the v drive in and then today it just made it worse. I believe ours has the idler gear as well so there’s a chance that’s all we were running on till we put more power to it? Spline from the V drive to transmission looks good and temperature and oil pressure were good on the motor the entire time around 40-42
  2. Alright, thanks for the info @InfinitySurf !! Transition installed a new heater in the boat for us before we picked it up, how involved are they? The transmission wasn't low just dirty ( we pumped out a bit over a liter from the transmission). The v drive was low for sure. Thanks for the input guys! I will update if we make any progress.
  3. I have no idea to be honest. The engine oil is clean and not low at all. Yeah it’s a ZR409 and I believe the transmission is the PCM 40 not 100% sure though. we were told to top it off with Dexcool concentrate not the pre diluted stuff. That’s my biggest concern I really trust the guys at Transition and would think there is no way that they forgot to fill everything. We refilled everything and put down rags and nothing is leaking while just sitting. Impeller comes in tomorrow hopefully fresh oils and a new impeller has us up and going I’m skeptical though.
  4. Enzo SV244

We have the Gladiator tower on our 13 SV244. I am going off my memory and a picture but there is no way with the tower down that its over 8' tall. The hinge Point is right at about 6' off the ground with 15'' Tires on a Boatmate trailer.
  5. Hey guys, thanks for the reply. The only positive side to this happening is i feel extremely comfortable working on my boat now and have learned a ton about this thing. Only tore apart dirt bikes in the past. Your replies immediately made me sign up to be a supporting member. This forum is awesome. So to give more information we have a Walter V drive RH drive. and The 1.0 Ratio transmission. That error code happened at the end of a day on the water. It went away didn't think too much about it... next time out put 3 hours on prior to losing forward power. We checked (no metal chunks or shavings in any oil or on magnetic plugs) and changed the oil in the transmission (dexron III) and V drive SAE 30 non detergent. Both were low..the V drive was basically empty ( dont know how) we never got a warning light or buzzer. We cleaned out the transmission oil cooler tube and there wasnt much in there. The transmission got hot enough that it actually melted the dip stick. See pick below. Degas Bottle is also empty. We obviously had an overheat issue but i don't understand why it would cause no forward drive but allow reverese. CAN ANYONE CONFIRM THT I PUT DEXCOOL CONCENTRATE IN THIS THING?? HEAD TECH AT TRANSITION IS TELLING ME TO? We are waiting on our impeller That transition watersports is sending us, they've been pretty helpful throughout this. Going to get all fluids changed, make sure the impeller is okay or going to change it and run it on the fake a lake friday night. Will update Y'all! -Seth
  6. Hey Guys, Literally just bought our boat and super stocked on it 2013 Sv244, we put15 hours on it and she is broken down. Pretty upset with the dealer right now (transition watersports) feel like theyre definitely skirting the issue on us. We had one error code come up around hour 12 (spn 442 fmi 15) when we were tubing three people at high RPM. Let it cool down and the code went away. Next day we had it out 3 hours more on the boat and we were towing a wakeboarder they went down turned around went to throttle up and we had zero forward thrust. Reverse works, engine idles fine, when in forward drive RPMs lower and sounds like clunks from the gearing. My worst fear is transmission. I talked to the dealer and he said "clogged transmission cooler causing the fuel to boil on fuel rail" we cleaned out the cooler and there was basically nothing in there. Our local dealer thinks its fuel related.. waiting on a fake a lake to come in... Any insight?
  7. Thanks for the replies!! It was freshwater only. Okay awesome, all good info! So this boat has the A plate, it has the 750 bags in the rear i believe, mid ship bags, and a bow bag all plummed in plus the quick fill tanks. We have never owned an inboard, we had an IO a few years ago and saved up for a few summers to finally upgrade! OKay awesome i will ask about the Valterra valves, i have heard of that before. The dealership seems to have awesome reviews so i do trust those guys a ton! Super stoked to find a RH drive for us goofy guys.
  8. Hey dudes! After searching we decided on a boat! Here is the link! https://www.transitionwatersports.com/default.asp?page=xPreOwnedInventoryDetail&id=7846324&p=1&s=Year&d=D&t=preowned&fr=xPreOwnedInventory So we are water testing it this Saturday, I figure were going to make sure every single button and feature works, but what else? This is our first wake/surf boat? If anything doesn't function the dealership will fix it for us. Cant wait!
  9. Hey Doug! Thinking about it! They have that 2013 SV233 there that looks real clean! If we can work out a deal on it i would love to buy from our local dealer for the relationship with them. And it would probably pay off anyways to have a decent friendship with them even if we went slightly above budget. That's awesome to hear! Definitely makes the idea of spending a little more to stay local worth it! Thanks for the huge write up man! REALLY APPRECIATE IT! I feel like i am kind of with you. I would rather get the best boat I can get because a year from now i can add a 3k upgrade into infinity tabs but it ill be a long time before we buy another boat! id rather get a newer low hour boat than an older loaded(surf accessories) boat. We will be able to throw a suck gate on there and we have a super good friend who will be able to weld an Aplate attachment on there in a snap. That 233 looks super rad.
  10. So I can get it pretty close to 50k. And they are willing to take some snowmobiles that we have as trade. So that’s the bonus. Our budget is 50k we decided. I doubt we can get a newer boat than this 2013? Considering still waiting to see what happens with the market. I think people will be in a pinch sadly and have to offload their boats in certain situations.
  11. I am considering going for a slightly newer boat and throwing Infinity tabs or GSA on down the road. This boat is at our local centurion dealer (within 1.5 hours) and seems to be clean as can be. They are open to letting it go a little less. What do you guys think? Thanks for all your guys help. Youre making this process a lot more confidence inspiring. https://www.boats.com/power-boats/2013-centurion-enzo-sv233-7306203/
  12. Will a suckgate and an Aplate do the same thing as a surf system but just be more manual than automated? Or is the surf system noticeably better for shaping the wave?
  13. No we have the space for whatever, I agree with you. So what about SV230 vs 240. Because there isn’t a lot of 240s. The one above seems expensive for the year
  14. Thanks for the awesome write up guys! Super helpful. Seems like you can definitely get a good goofy wave just takes some work. so what if your options were a 2010/11 Avy or a 2007/8 Enzo?
  15. Hey guys! So yesterday I thought we were set on an Avalanche. Turns out our family is all putting in their 2 cents. Shocker. We are a family of 8 Adults. 2/3 of us boys ride goofy. We’re were all about the avalanche, but we feel like the SV240 might be more our speed since it is 2’ longer and better for a big family. But be honest. Is the goofy wave that bad? That’s a big deal to us, we love board sports. Grew up skating and snowboarding and surfing. we want a good wave on both sides. What’s the boat for us? Budget is around 40. should I go to a tige 24V? Thanks guys!
